"Empty Daydream" is one of their 3 "E" songs, the other 2 being "Edge of the World" and "Epilogue". This track certainly showcases how musically diverse this band is. From my interpretation, this song tells the story of how someone is trapped in a very bad/psychologically abusive relationship, the person's resulting trials & tribulations, and how she or he eventually resolved the situation. The guitar battle in the middle symbolizes the quarrels/fights that ensued, and the harmonization part can be looked at as how they resolved the conflict in the end.
So you have just seen one of the 'E' songs. There are three of them. The other two are... 'Edge Of The World'. And 'Epilogue'. Both live of course. For the best Power ballad I have ever heard, please react to 'Epilogue'. It is such a treat to the senses.

We also get Miyako showing her singing voice as she harmonises with Asami. It is hard to find words to describe them adequately, the only band I have liked who truly do not have a bad song in their catalogue.

Up till now my favorite lovebites song together with “a frozen serenade”. 1 of the 3 E-songs like lot of the commenters will say with “epilogue” and “edge of the world”. All their songs are great. The two women have spent many, many hours together to get those unison and harmony lines in sync. Either one is probably at the point that they 'hear' the other in their mind even when they aren't together, they know each other so well. It doesn't bother anyone that you stop and make valid comments anywhere, as long as you go back and then let the passage play through. That is one of the right ways to do it.

I love this one. One of my favorites. I love Miyako's piano intro, and then Asami's vocals coming in along with that really soulful almost R&B type of voice. The lyrics and song construction are really good. The first time Miho came in on those backing vocals I was stunned, and then Miyako going up high stunned again. This is the only song I know of where they do the vocals like that and it is so good. This is one of the three "E" songs, all of which are a little different than their usual style and all of which are must listens. Epilogue is pretty stunning, but Edge of the World is amazing too.
Just another side of this insanely talented band. You get Miyako's piano, the M&M show on guitars, backing vocals with Miyako and Miho and gang vocals with Asami's smooth R&B/Jazz/Soul background vocalization. Honestly, this band will always surprise you especially LIVE. However, they will never disappoint as they are not capable of performing a "filler or poor song on stage. One of the 3 "E" songs and one of my favorite LB offerings and since 2019 they have only gotten better at their craft together as a band!!!!!
Miyako's Intro was a piece written by Russian composer Sergei Rachmninov. He and Polish composer Freidrich Chopin are her favorite classical composers. This is your first of the 'three E songs', as close to a ballad as they get.
