For starters, historical records from the 3rd century BCE show that Emperor Ashoka, a major supporter of Buddhism, visited Lumbini and even erected a pillar there. The Ashoka Pillar still stands today, and its inscription clearly states that Lumbini is Buddha's birthplace. On top of that, archaeological excavations in Lumbini have revealed ancient monasteries, stupas, and the Maya Devi Temple, which marks the exact spot where Queen Maya Devi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautama. If that’s not convincing enough, UNESCO officially recognized Lumbini as a World Heritage Site in 1997, acknowledging its global significance as Buddha's birthplace. Plus, ancient Buddhist texts consistently refer to the Shakya Kingdom, located in what is now southern Nepal, as the place where Buddha was born. So, the historical, archaeological, and textual evidence all align to confirm that Lumbini, Nepal, is the true birthplace of Buddha.

Meanwhile, Nepal not only defended its borders but also stood up to the British Empire during the Anglo-Nepalese War. When a (wo)man has no knowledge of his/her history back to the BEGINNING when he/she came into existence, he/she will believe in a 'religious' worldview /system that is totally man-made. Whatever that religion he/she may embrace, it invariably will contain some truth that will make the worldview seems logical and therefore believable. But be aware of the snare. "Some truth" is not the same as the whole truth and will only be as good as "half truth." To learn the history of mankind that starts from the beginning, there's only one book on earth that does that. It's none other than the protestant Bible available today. What makes the book completely reliable are the following: 1) No one on earth to-date has been able to prove what it has had recorded therein is false. 2) 1/3 of the book contains prophecies, and many of the predicted particular events have had subsequently come to pass satisfying every material particular. 3) Many archaeologists rely on the book to help them research and study human history and have found its record to be amazingly accurate. So, which 'religion' is the correct worldview? Remember not to be hijacked by mid-way of history and be indoctrinated into believing what you believe. One must go all the way back to the beginning of history to find out ... the truth and the path to your Creator.

@@johnmcconnell7052 Actually I can claim it as a fact, as Christianity has a historical base in the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If I say hot dogs are the best and someone else says pizza is the best, that's ok because that's a matter of subjective opinion that can vary from person to person... However, if I say Jesus is God and a Muslim says he is merely a human prophet that doesn't actually go together, either one or the other is right, or maybe in your view both those views are wrong, but I think we can both agree they can't all be right. @@johnmcconnell7052 Actually I can claim it as a fact because it's based on the Crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. You are appealing to the fallacy of Relativism. 1. You’re not correct at all. 2. He shouldn’t have called it the “region of Palestine”, because back then it was called Judea. And Judea unlike “Palestine” was a country not just a colony although it was eventually made into a colony of the Roman Empire. Also what’s going on in Gaza is not a Genocide, it’s a war.
palestine as an arab state never existed (before 1993). it comes from the word philistine. who were the enemies of the Israelites during the time of the old testament and the kingdom of Israel 3000 years ago. later the romans changed the name of the province * *Judea* into palestine as a form of a mockery of the Jews and to erase the Jewishness of the land of Israel. they also changed the name of Jerusalem into Elia Capitoline. as a form of changing the city into a Hellenistic city. later people refer to the land as Israel. even the quran not even once refrence the word palestine but says the people of Israel(the Jews) around 43 times in the quran. later the Brits called the land palestine but only as a form of an official way to name the land so both both Jews and Arabs will be ok with. because during that time there were Jews who were palestinian citizens. after the declaration of independence of the state of Israel in 14th may of 1948. and the expelling of the Arabs. the arabs had to have an excuse to return to the land and to name their people. but most Arabs that still lived in Israel still called themselves only arabs. only in the 60's and mostly because of the 6 days war. when Israel won and conquered Sinai gaza strip east Jerusalem Judea and Sameria and Ramat Hagolan. the notion of Israel as conquerors began and the arabs in Israel started to call themselves palestinians. which became more popular after the oslo accords on 1993 between Ishaq Rabin and arafat. only than Israel recognized Palestine as an arab state. and will you recognize the mass rape and murder committed by hamas during the 7th of October atrocities last year. and if there is a genocide. why Israel didn't wipe all of the palestinians up after that. and didn't committed mass rape and murder of civilians like hamas did. you will probably say that Israel killed 45000 people in palestine. but a high number of them are terrorist soldiers. and in most wars most of the casualties around 2:1 or 3:1 are civilians. so Israel killed only about 30,000 civilians out of a population of a population of 2,000,000 only 1.5 precent of the entire population. doesn't sound like a genocide to me. compare that with the Holocaust where a third of the Jewish population was murdered by the nazis and the number of the Jews worldwide went from 16 million to only 10 million. that's a genocide.

These labels are very misleading and subjective and also religion is a modern concept these are just different spirtual paths and traditions thst have been evolving over time and are a product of human evolution. As we have evolved we tried to understand everything around us so we developed these beliefs.

hi cousin (Catholic)
When a (wo)man has no knowledge of his/her history back to the BEGINNING when he/she came into existence, he/she will believe in a 'religious' worldview /system that is totally man-made. Whatever that religion he/she may embrace, it invariably will contain some truth that will make the worldview seems logical and therefore believable. But be aware of the snare. "Some truth" is not the same as the whole truth and will only be as good as "half truth."
To learn the history of mankind that starts from the beginning, there's only one book on earth that does that.

If I can ramble like a madman for a sec. I learned about the yin Yang at a young age. I learned about the balance of the universe. Many religions share a lot of themes, I see God as above so below. He is one God, he is many and he is nothing (holy trinity :0) you can say the universe itself is God, he is the Big Bang that created the stars and the sun that we worship. We all come from stardust and we’re all children of Adam (atom). We’re made of matter because we matter. He is the father in heaven and Mother Earth, the sun and the moon. Every religion is correct in their own way, we just need to unify because like it or not, everyone and everything is connected. From the cosmos to molecules

Christianity is the one true religion, Jesus is the only way to God
You can have your opinion but don't try to claim it as fact. You follow a new age religion there are countless religions some older some newer there's no one true religion as religion is based on your understanding and perspective in how you see the universe and life in general around and within you. Avoid the dogmatic approach it never ends well.
"The only true religion is the one I happen to have been born into through my family and community. My source is the religion I already believe in"
@@johnmcconnell7052 Actually I can claim it as a fact, as Christianity has a historical base in the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I know it's the nice thing to say "Hey believe whatever as long as it's your truth" these days... but that is just Relativism that reduces Religion down to a nice philosophy or tradition, not something you actually believe in. The reason I say Christianity is the one true religion is that I actually believe in it, just as someone believes in the laws of gravity, if I just appeal to relativism, then Jesus' words of him being "the only way" would mean nothing to me. So I encourage you to not appeal to the fallacy that someone cannot claim that one religion is right, but rather go out and research and compare religions to find out which one is the true one, I think you'll find that no one is quite like Jesus.
@@johnmcconnell7052 Actually I can claim it as a fact because it's based on the Crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. You are appealing to the fallacy of Relativism. Most religions are not compatible with one another because they make different truth claims, especially Christianity is very exclusive and that Jesus is the only way. I claim Christianity is the only way because I actually believe in it, just like someone believes in the laws of gravity. I would encourage you to instead of telling people they can't be dogmatic, find out which religion is the one true religion by studying the facts. Because if you instead appeal to "Your truth is your truth" you've reduced religion down to a nice, subjective philosophy and tradition, not an actual truth... can you prove Jesus didn't resurrect from the dead?

Just to correct you, but palestine is not modern-day Israel. It is still Palestine, but being occupied and currently going through a genocide.
so what?
What happened on October 7
palestine as an arab state never existed (before 1993). it comes from the word philistine. who were the enemies of the Israelites during the time of the old testament and the kingdom of Israel 3000 years ago. later the romans changed the name of the province * *Judea* into palestine as a form of a mockery of the Jews and to erase the Jewishness of the land of Israel. they also changed the name of Jerusalem into Elia Capitoline. as a form of changing the city into a Hellenistic city. later people refer to the land as Israel. even the quran not even once refrence the word palestine but says the people of Israel(the Jews) around 43 times in the quran. later the Brits called the land palestine but only as a form of an official way to name the land so both both Jews and Arabs will be ok with. because during that time there were Jews who were palestinian citizens. after the declaration of independence of the state of Israel in 14th may of 1948. and the expelling of the Arabs. the arabs had to have an excuse to return to the land and to name their people. but most Arabs that still lived in Israel still called themselves only arabs. only in the 60's and mostly because of the 6 days war. when Israel won and conquered Sinai gaza strip east Jerusalem Judea and Sameria and Ramat Hagolan. the notion of Israel as conquerors began and the arabs in Israel started to call themselves palestinians. which became more popular after the oslo accords on 1993 between Ishaq Rabin and arafat. only than Israel recognized Palestine as an arab state. and will you recognize the mass rape and murder committed by hamas during the 7th of October atrocities last year. and if there is a genocide. why Israel didn't wipe all of the palestinians up after that. and didn't committed mass rape and murder of civilians like hamas did. you will probably say that Israel killed 45000 people in palestine. but a high number of them are terrorist soldiers. and in most wars most of the casualties around 2:1 or 3:1 are civilians. so Israel killed only about 30,000 civilians out of a population of a population of 2,000,000 only 1.5 precent of the entire population. doesn't sound like a genocide to me. compare that with the Holocaust where a third of the Jewish population was murdered by the nazis and the number of the Jews worldwide went from 16 million to only 10 million. that's a genocide.
Palestine is modern day Judea. It was renamed by the Romans

@@pdoberniggJesus was born in Palestine because the region where Bethlehem is located has historically been referred to as Palestine
@@PlutoEsBliss This statement is just vague enough it can't be immediately dismissed as completely ahistorical. Jesus was born, lived and died in Israel. It wasn't until the 2nd century the the Romans named the region "Syria Palaestina." The region was known as Palestine but Palestine was never a country, just a name for a region for a period of time. If I lived in the region of the Rocky Mountains, I wouldn't say I am a Rocky Mountainer. The Vikings arrived in North America in 1000 AD and then left. That area was later controlled by a Native tribe Beothuk. It is like saying Viking children were Beothuk because they were born in a region that historically had been known as Beothuk.
