This book does wonders for filling in gaps that MSM can't seem to bother pursuing. Schweizer and his investigative tenacity and competence is what was needed. This book is a heroic effort to pull back the curtain and surface the extremely now apparent relationship of the US and CCP. Schweizer is an American gem and brave for doing this. This interview was top notch.

Outstanding interview with America’s premier investigative journalist. Thank you for digging up the nuggets from his book on China’s drug trafficking targeting America, including Americans in Vietnam during the war.

Peter Schweizer is a Rock Star of writing about the crooked and deranged political class in this country, his ground breaking books on Clinton Cash are still relevant and everything he researches and authors is GOLD.

Reading the Reece series, I constantly find myself researching names, programs, and even just the vocabulary. It’s all just real and Jack Carr's fiction is an education by itself. Even the credits and acknowledgments are astonishing; I just don’t know that many people. Entertaining and educational.
I’ve been reading Peter Schweizer for years and it’s frightening how few politicians and/or ordinary people pay attention to what he has revealed. It’s out there folks; just let it in.

Jack Carr! You da' man! Your Guests are the best, and Peter Schweizer is fantastic. EVERYONE needs to see this PODCAST... There are so many either blind or flat out ignoring China... they need to wake up! I can't read Peter's book because I'm at Chapter 8 in Red Sky Mourning (BTW... (no spoiler here) I can't believe you did that... and you know what I'm talking about... LOL). Salute to you, sir! And God bless you and your family. 🙏

Jack - as a former career journalist and many time attendee at Thunder Ranch - my highest compliments to you on this interview! So many interviewers don’t have a plan and meander through the land of the lost. However, you knew the topic, had your outline and listened - thus focused and high quality information was delivered to us eager listeners seeking clarity and intelligent thought and insight…

Greetings from Quincy, Massachusetts! Thank you both for this interview. I listened to it all. I disagree with none of it. For me personally, the alarm bells were ringing in 1995. I watched the transformations since from the same basic understanding of ideology. Like Peter, I once studied to be a Sovietologist. Cheers.

More than "investing in aircraft carriers" we need to be building more fast attack submarines. Submarines, not aircraft carriers will be the decisive factor in a war with China. Aircraft carrier strike groups are necessary for supporting combat operations ashore in regions like the Middle East, but in the looming probability of an amphibious invasion of Taiwan, carrier strike groups will play a much smaller role.
China has created and fielded a robust shore and ship-based antiship missile force that has effectively neutered US carrier strike groups. This formidable defensive missile capability will force carrier-based Naval air forces back from the Taiwan battle area by about a thousand kilometers. The American theater commander whose area of responsibility (AOR) includes China and Taiwan, Commander In Chief Pacific (CINCPAC), has publicly acknowledged this operational warfare limitation on his carrier groups. Air refueling can extend the range of carrier-based tactical air wings, but China's growing fleet of combatant ships have formidable antiaircraft missile defenses which would make US Air Force and Navy air refueling tankers unacceptably vulnerable to attack and destruction.
The answer to a potential amphibious invasion of Taiwan lies in the hands of US and Allied attack submarines which can ensure that no Chinese invasion fleet would ever reach Taiwan's shores. The submarines further deter Chinese aggression, because once they've sunk all invasion shipping, they can then blockade all seaborne avenues of maritime shipping to Chinese ports. This would prevent China from receiving maritime supplies of petroleum, food, and vital natural resources upon which China is strategically dependent. Unfortunately, the US is not spending enough on new construction of attack submarines and on timely repair and refit of our existing fleet of subs. Current new construction and maintenance of existing subs are both lagging behind schedule, threatening the current and future deployment of undersea ships to the probable battle area in the Taiwan Strait and the South China Sea. Carrier and shore based tactical air forces will not be able to do the job of protecting Taiwan without a robust submarine force in the waters below.

After 30 years of watching politics and culture change so rapidly and how the ruling class has handled it. It's not just US officials being ok with another country taking out their citizens. It's a powerful faction of the ruling class that now sees all of those they deem beneath them as a threat to their power and anything and everything that lessons the amount of people that can become a threat is a positive. Since the Communication/Information age came about empowering the people. That massively changed the dynamic between the ruling and working class. Manipulating and managing perception and in turn the populous is no longer easy. There's a critical mass of the populous that no longer trusts and is loyal to those in positions of authority or the system that has become corrupted. Political leaders have to be careful how much they call out the other side in the new age because it's far easier to expose everyone's dirty laundry.

"Unrestricted Warfare" doctrine and the English title of book by Qiao Liang and Wang Xiangsui. In the book (white paper), the authors call for the use of drugs in their strategy of "war by other means" versus the United States. The book was authored in 1999. So this is part of their strategy.

I lived in China 2016-21. Many colleagues and a contingent of Chinese friends were CCP (only 92 million CCP in a population of 1.46 billion, as one must apply to the party and qualify). In my first few months, before I knew any Mandarin, I had a colleague translate a CCTV speech by a General Zhang (possibly Zheng) who explained with great enthusiasm that “We (PLA) want to be tested in war against America…as they’ve considerably more combat experience…” and he went on to say (paraphrase) that China has been indirectly at war with America since 1949 and proved PLA prowess versus the American military since the Korean conflict. In addition, despite academia, media and the political machine propagandizing America being the geopolitical instigator of potential kinetic confrontation, the Chinese people (who are awesome folks) openly acknowledge that ‘China had been at war with America for decades.’ And even if America refuses to recognize it, the war exists. They’ve re-written history books (I was an English teacher and a coach of American Football there) and anything pointing towards America ever having been benevolent toward China. And all that despite our forces (beginning with the famous Flying Tigers) directly supporting China against Japan (including Truman’s ‘secondary’ reason for dropping the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki; 15,000 Chinese were dying a day under Japanese occupation). The proverbial ‘terrible math’ foretold the horrific potential results if the war had continued another (projected) 2-3 years with an invasion of the Japanese homeland. Thus and hence, China had portrayed America as entirely malevolent then and now. Fortunately, in dark corners some of the Chinese people whisper actual history and don’t perceive America as an enemy.

It's too bad a book like this is treated as entertainment or as a kind of semi-fictional account. Even if it's only partially treated as entertainment, it dilutes the significance. It should be treated as real - an actual air raid siren, an actual emergency situation, not a practice drill or a movie. It is really happening.
