POT Olive trees!! THE RIGHT SOIL!!!!

This is a quick video on how I pot my olive trees. Key to vigorous grow and productive olive trees is having the right soil medium for the olive tree. I get bowls of olives and this is the way I’ve been doing it.

Yes I do. I will get bowls of olives. All my olive trees are potted. These trees are a evergreen tree that need chill hours to pollinate for olives, along with multiple tree that are necessary for pollination . I will be making a future video on the subject when time comes to overwinter. most my videos are figs but this season I’m sharing the other plants I grow to be more diverse.

So can I plant couple olive trees in ground in north jersey and they want freeze up in winter! And if yes what variety do you recommend.

@@im11000 no these trees don’t want freezing. They specifically need chill temps between 40 -50 degrees for them to pollinate. I keep my trees in a temp controlled greenhouse that will not dip below 38 degrees. The greenhouse also have light depravation film over the greenhouse. But this is not necessary. Though it is necessary to have multiple trees that could pollinate with each other unless you find a self pollinating tree. But the crop may not yield large quantities without another tree.

The soils used are pro mix hp and sand mix. 50/50
