being in the middle of enemies helps him take damage, since his kit is based on HP loss and his artifact set increases damage when losing or regaining HP
doesn't he lose hp by doing charge attacks?

Honestly, my main reason for getting him is his VA, Shimono Hiro. I just like using characters whose voices I know

Love cats,handsome,flirty,and nice he’s definitely the right pick. No regrets
comparing him to yoimiya is like comparing apples to oranges

Lyney ult then switch to a close combat character can work due to his ult can be a applicator to most cyro or anemo characters like shenhe ,kazuha and more.
i mean, he wouldn’t really work with any of those as he is meant to be a monopyro character

He’s a mono pyro dps so no not really just use Xiangling

Lyney has officially turned out to be a pretty powerful character i I am honestly impressed😊
How to play with Lyney:
1) Keep distance from enemies.
2) Keep close to enemies.

His gameplay is a bit questionable but i adore the character and his design so much that I'll pull for him regardless
Now that lyney just came out, he does GREAT damage and is genuinely good character. When i first saw him, i wasnt gonna pull for him people i assumed he'd be pretty basic. But, when i test ran him, i realized his playstyle is honestly similar to hu tao. He does great on pyro mono teams and his damage can be really good even if you dont have a great build on him. Now im gonna build a new team around him and try to build him quickly even tho i didnt pre-farm.
i have him on bad build but he still hits like a tank I love him fr 😭
Honestly i think it the burst is good, like you go into battles as Lyney's burst then swap to supports like kazuha, then dash away and start using charge shots
I like Lyney in general, I could just pull him and leave him at lvl 1 or 20 and if i like his gameplay i might build him 👍

no way. absolutely unbelievable. mihoyo is notorious for their invisible no balance change policy (except for zhongli). this cannot be real.

I just pulled Lyney because I love his design and character🗿 I still am trying to build him though
im building him and his siblings cause one i like cats and i like cryo and i dont mind building him as na physical lol
He's so much fun! Perfecting the timing with his skill and Benny's burst to fully heal yourself no matter how low your hp gets is SO GREAT 😭
PS, Whenever you shoot a charged attack, enemies go after the cat that is summoned. It's not too hard to get one on field almost always to keep enemies off of you
If I could get him, it would be fun to play co-op with my sister. If she does want to build Lynette lol.
The part in the SP where Lyney and Lynette work together in a co-op looks so pretty like a performance on stage!
But, that would have to wait for his rerun, I guess. Coz I'm saving for Neuvillete 😋

I’m gonna pull for him because I don’t have any five star bow characters. And I have enough wishes to go to pity. But then it’ll be pure luck if I get Tartaglia and Zhongli. Btw I’m f2p
Lyney is a lotttt stronger than yoimiya he is much closer to hutao bro
If you've read his kit.. you'll know he has hp loss & healing. And the Grim-Malkin Hat also taunts enemies. This is produced after every 2ndcharge arrow and after ultimate expires/cancelled early. His kit has been out since early July.
Doesn't matter if you're close to enemies, your cat in the hat taunts
Being in the middle of enemies is fine cuz his cat taunts so you have time to get away again
He deals better pneuma DMG than the hydro traveler

Well there's a Zhongli rerun and he's the character I want most rn, so I will pull for him, hoping that I don't fail at that like the last 2 times...

I've been waiting for Zhongli since 3.0, back then I lost my 50/50 to the D. 😅 I'm actually really worried that the update will be too big for my computer. 😢
his gameplay reminds me of tighnari's more than ganyu's
Lyney was the perfect character for me to get used to Fontaine characters. He works so well with the characters I use around him and even at level 70, he's so good!!
I’m a new player, but my first ever five star was Tighnari. I have fallen in love with the bow main lifestyle, so I NEED to get him! 😭

I feel like his play style is charge atking enemies while they’re taunted by his cat
Pulling on Lyney banner, spending 20-30 fates Max to hopefully get some Xingqiu cons. After that I’m pulling for Tartaglia and hopefully I win my 50/50😭🙏(copium)
He actually doesn't take any damage during his ultimate. Also his attacks charge so quickly it's moderately easy to use them in time, but I would probably just use his skill at that point. At least with what I know from the character demo. I'm not sure how a less optimal build will work though... or more even.
Lyne y together with Bennett, Xiangling and Kazuha is the best thing i’ve ever seen
Being close is useful as you can just dump his e when you're at 5 stacks , insert big boi dmg + the cat hat summoned after the burst explodes , and you can just dip away again
You forgot to mention that when the ult ends, he drops one of the cats, which taunts enemies. Which of course gives you time to get more distance.

Lyney's playstyle is actually rlly fun! Now that he is out and I did his test run I am OBSESSED with him, and you kinds need to be close to the enemies anyway because of his skill (Which is insanely strong if you use it right by using a few fully charged shots first)

People keep talking about how it’s a problem that he’s a bow users in the middle of combat but I can tell you now as a lyney main. I NEVER DIE. Even in domains with other people, while everyone is an inch away from death lyney keeps healing himself to full health. Every single problem Iv heard people talk about with lyney has never been a problem for me. Also still haven’t met a yoimiya main stronger than my lyney.
I just got Lyney in the first 10 pull yesterday and after 30 pulls I got his weapon on the weapon banner- I wasn’t guaranteed at both banners…

As someone who plays bow users nearby enemies like they're not meant to be ranged anyways, he's great and I'm a sucker for magician types! He reminds me of Kaitou KID! But really tho, I just don't want to separate another set of twins in this game TvT Since we have free Lynette, I am NOT having another Ei without Makoto, Traveler without Abyss Twin, Venti without Bard Friend, or Nahida without Rukkhadevata moment again. (I know the others aren't really twins, but they're kinda similar? Anyways, I'm seeing a pattern in this game and I don't know if I like it. Lmao. XD)
Soo i pulled for him because i love him so much. His personality, Design and also playstyle is so great for me and i am so happy about having him, my Yoimiya is now artefactless. Also, his Talent is very helpful
