This article explains the minimum requirements for working for Emirates. Tom also mentioned in the video that there are no specific work experience required but they tend to love people in hotel management, hospitality and retail. It's best to check with the airline you want to apply for as each airline has different height restrictions or sometimes they use arm reach instead of height!

Hi Simran! Wow, first of all, congratulations! That is a big step forward, considering how prestigious SQ is to get in! I am not a recruiter and I do not have any SQ interview experience so I cannot give you accurate information but I am happy to talk to you about my experience with other airlines. An airline I applied for held assessment days over 4 days and I was able to reschedule. When I emailed them, they responded quickly and professionally. However, I also have experienced another airline where if you could not attend on the day, your application was withdrawn. I hope that someone from SQ gives you a second chance because you definitely deserve it if you made it to the interviews! All the best! Please keep me updated! Would love to know how you go with SQ!

According to their website, if you are from the following countries, you can apply to join SQ; Malaysia (based in KL), Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea and Thailand. Actually. SIA only hire male crews from singapore and malaysia. I have friends in SIA. I tried applying as well but sadly they dont hire canadians unless youre a pilot. 😊

Hi BAE Kookie! So glad to meet you as aspiring flight attendant buddy! No worries at all, you can ask any cabin crew related question here. Thanks for asking! I am not a recruiter so I cannot give 100% accurate information but I can speak from my experience. I think it heavily depends on which airline you are applying for. Middle Eastern and Legacy Asian airlines tend to have very strict standards for "looking perfect". On the other hand, western airlines tend to have more relaxed, diverse approach when it comes to appearance of flight attendants. So perhaps, you can adjust your appearance according to which airline you are applying for. When I had acne scars on interview days for Middle Eastern airlines, I used concealer to cover up. Which airlines are you applying for?

I am not an expert and I do not have any personal experience with SQ but I think you are correct in saying that you'd have to eventually relocate to Singapore for training and work to join Singapore Airlines. According to their website, if you are from the following countries, you can apply to join SQ; Malaysia (based in KL), Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea and Thailand. Actually. SIA only hire male crews from singapore and malaysia. I have friends in SIA. I tried applying as well but sadly they dont hire canadians unless youre a pilot. 😊

I am not a recruiter so I cannot give 100% accurate information but I can speak from my experience. I think it heavily depends on which airline you are applying for. Middle Eastern and Legacy Asian airlines tend to have very strict standards for "looking perfect". On the other hand, western airlines tend to have more relaxed, diverse approach when it comes to appearance of flight attendants. So perhaps, you can adjust your appearance according to which airline you are applying for. When I had acne scars on interview days for Middle Eastern airlines, I used concealer to cover up. Which airlines are you applying for?
