Agree, this is where Indiana Jones 5 lost the thrill factor. Practical effects with a stunt team on location shot on 35 = thrilling to watch. CG effects with visual artists on a green screen shot on digital = not thrilling to watch. Indy's sidekick could have been better and the script had its problems but these changes to start with would at least have helped make the movie exciting to watch. And that's a big help.
It is clearly that many of the SUVs were just a cheap Unreal 5 asset. You cant even see the interior of the cars in any frame. Just some crashes were real body cars.
Several highly trained professionals with two Range Rover Sports, three brand new Land Rover Defenders, two Triumph Scrambler 1200s and an Agusta A109S Grand against a Family of three in a 23 year old Toyota Land Cruiser with one Walther PPK, and this is all they manage to achieve. Three of the villain cars bit the dust, before Bond even gets out of the car. This is the best commercial for used Toyotas I have ever seen!
Land rover only stopped making the Defender after 2013 for 2 or 3 years bcz UK idiots passed a law that it was not pedestrian friendly on the front end. They won't die
I love the little moments in this sequence. You can just feel the rage inside of Bond, because he isn't just surviving for himself, he has to make sure his family is safe too. Dan is on fire throughout, and his body language screams, "Don't you dare harm my family." It's a Bond we've not seen before, one that has so much to lose, and it was so well executed in moments like this. You really feel the stakes and sense Bond's ruthlessness as he is willing to do anything to protect those he loves.
Time will surely be kind to No Time to Die and it will be viewed in several years the way On Her Majesty's Secret Service is viewed now in the series. So much depth here to go along with the amazing action.
When a man with the skills, combat experience, tactical know-how, and hunter/killer instinct of James Bond happens to have a family and you threaten it (even a little bit), he becomes even more dangerous, laser-focused, and bloodthirsty as this awesome sequence shows. Love how the tables turned and the "hunters" became the hunted lol. Shootout to Madeleine, the protective mother, who steps up to plate when needed to defend her man and daughter (love how she just ends that bike gunman without hesitation). What I love about these action scenes in NTTD are how they're not just well directed, gritty and intense but also the presence of genuine emotional stakes. Love this movie!
In "Layman's Terms" it's akin to a Male Lion protecting his lioness and pride : antagonise them and it's going to be a fierce between two groups with pure aggression and either of them are definitely going to play dirty to win.
Doesn't exactly do a good job of protecting them though, does he? Would have been better to have stayed back at the hut with them. Bond's actions here are like a goalkeeper who decides to dribble the ball into the opposition half, loses the ball then can't get back to the goal he's left open.
@@RJSRdg Bond's tactics were perfectly logical. Lure the enemy away from those he's trying to protect while presenting himself as bait before dispatching them one after the other, using his wits and training. Guarding the hut wouldn't have been the wisest strategy as they would fire at him there, putting Madeleine/Mathilde in harm's way in the process. He just wasn't counting on Safin getting to them before he did (also unfortunate timing for Madeleine to run out of ammo).
Bond's reaction when he sees the helicopter taking off with Madeleine and Mathilde is intense--absolutely terrified for their safety and angry at himself for failing to protect them.
This was such a fantastic movie Where the Paloma scenes were fun. These forest scenes were so atmospheric. In a movie that had a lot of good scenes. I think these were the best.
4:11 Love how Bond looks back to see if his love and daughter are okay but gets shaken then the look of worry on his face, as the score begins to get more intense.
Love the Brutal Bond moment where he takes revenge for the murder of his friend. Reminds me of the car scene with Locque in For Your Eyes Only or when Killifer gets thrown in the shark pit in Licence To Kill. Plus, that line. "I had a brother. His name was Felix Leiter."
It's legendary cinematography, I have watched it over and over. The vengeance of 3 Range Rovers and 3 motorcycles jumping over that hill is epic. Including the helicopter, Safin is one bad ass, and I love how evil he is.
Great reaction of Bond at 5:50 he turned around so he could shield Mathilde with his body - one of the best scenes in the movies, it feels almost like a horror movie, especially the part in the forest.
Yeah. The entire movie to me felt like a horror movie because of the opening scene where Safin wore the mask and how he just popped up at the window randomly and the part where the bad guys tried killing bond with the gas and it killed other people and their faces. Also when bond touched and tried choking the villain from Spectre (forgot his name), bond was told to stop but then they look around and he’s dead suddenly and this scene in the forest as well and with more too. Good movie but wish it has more of Safin.
Once again Bond was doing his casual mocking of the guys shooting range 😂😊. Bonds body language said it all. Proving he knew they were bad shooters. Never fletched one bit. Hahaha!!
A few seconds earlier in that kitchen, a children's show was playing on TV, and all the muppets were speaking Norwegian. It seems Mathilde was very intelligent too, learning several languages from an early age. French, English, Norwegian..
Something about the soundtrack and the framing of him pulling the line from the Range Rover to hook up to the tree. Just captured the essence of Bond so well.
i reminded me more of Ed Killifer in licence to kill with the "old buddy" line or Alec Trevelyan in goldeneye just bond being totally cold and ruthless when it comes to betrayal

His knowhow, tactical awareness and skill set definitely made sure enemies were dealt with once and for all : 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍!.
@@RJSRdg : As 007 was outnumbered, he made the best of the situation and it shows (as described on many occasions) he's far from perfect, if 007 was a 'superhero' of sorts, then he'd get around this, then again, that's not real life.
