A big Thank you to Tony & Chelsea, and everyone else involved, for making this fantastic video series! Beautiful footage, a higly enjoyable and inspirational watch! Many thanks, David
What a great series!!!! Stephanie and Eric were such great hosts. Great to see Kyle again and meet his Dad, Ron. What a wonderful trip!!! I hope you are able to do more. Thank you!!!!!
I did a report on Mono lake in college. Tufa refers to the mineral. The features are called "tufa spires". Love your channel by the way, it's my favorite photography channel. Plus seeing Tony with a Pentax is awesome!
Prisera1221 This was back in May if I remember correctly. I was chatting with Justin about it last month, he said in total with footage from the main cameras, cell phones, timelapses and hyperlapses, they had many hundreds and quite possibly thousands of hours of footage he was tasked with editing down. So on top of the other projects simultaneously being worked on, this one took a while to produce.
As a film editor myself I can see how long it can take to edit all the video especially if you have multiple sources. That must've been a horror if you are a solo editor as well
Great job! I enjoyed the show a lot! Looking forward to more episodes! It's real and spontaneous, stands out from fake and planned shows nowadays. Inspires to travel more and look out for beautiful things to be photographed. Thank you guys!
What an exciting series. We are very lucky to have such inspiring an nice people to learn from. The best part about it was that it felt very real and down to earth. Like a really good quality home movie. I love this style.
Awesome series, guys and gals. Loved the shots, the locations and the personal time share. Please, rinse and repeat. Can't wait to see the next Wanderlust. Thanks.
Tony & Chelsea Northrup Absolutely amazing, you've made so awesome videos in the past but this series is definitely one of the best. Thank you, it was both photographically and geographically interesting.
Tony & Chelsea. Thank you for a wonderful video series. I have travel the 395 for many years and Yosemite is like a second home. This area is rich with subjects and you brought to life several of may favorites. Well done!!!!
Glad you guys got to see Yosemite! It's a mind blowing place! We backpacked to the top of the Yosemite Falls with 35 lbs on our backs. I think my knee still gives me trouble to this day from that hike! Hardest thing I've ever done, but the views, drinking from the mountain snow river, soaking our feet in the river, wow, so worth it. Love you guys!
Really love this video series you guys. Love how down to earth everyone is, and I learned quite a lot along the way. I hope in future episodes you'll keep including tips on different shooting situations/lighting/etc. Great locations, fun to watch, informative. Thanks!
I loved your episodes, Respect for you Sir. Tony! You are a best photographer but i found you very humble and such a nice person. You appreciate each n every person that was with you and that guy was amazing.. Will wait for your new videos and thanks to all of you.. 😊
Great work! Enjoyed every bit of it. Many of the places you visited are just a short drive from where I live. They have been on my to do list for a while. Now I am even more inspired to get off my rear end. THANKS!!!
This series was enjoyable not only for the tips on getting shots. The north end of the journey is about two hours south of my home and I often prowl the same areas (except the mine which is now on the list). It was fun to see Tony and Chelsea react to things unfamiliar to them but here we take for granted. I will be looking forward to more Wanderlust.
This was a wonderful series! I hope you get ready for your next Wanderlust very soon. Laid back, informative, cool locations and a lot of fun. Whats more to ask for? Thank you!
Hi Tony and Chelsea, thank you for these releases of Wanderlust. I have really enjoyed and learn a lot from this series. Was just wondering if you both may consider doing a guide on preparations/packing tips for travels with perhaps some considerations to some nifty tricks to different season, that will help me and I am sure quite a number of us immensely. Thank you!
Love the Wanderlust series! I think a video on how to shoot video when you travel would be popular. Maybe you can add that to your list of ideas for future videos. Keep up the awesome work! Thanks.
I very much enjoyed these videos. Gave me inspiration and a sense of how much work is involved in seeking out great areas for landscape shots. Thank you for doing this. Larry Y
WOW!! You guys inspire me so much. I need to plan a trip with you guys. My wife and I would absolutely love it. At least I would love it, haha. She is a good sport. Thanks for your hard work on this and fantastic job!!
Over the years and too many amazing images to fill my home, saying that... when I look at one of my favorite images I don't think ... what shutter speed, f-stop, ISO, or even what camera and lens I shot it with! My instant thoughts ignite my heart and memories with the feelings of that adventure and the moment in time. The planning, the challenges, the awesome experiences I had, and the awesome people I shared it with and/or met along the way. Thank you all for sharing this incredible journey and your experiences╰💙 p.s. All your shoots were great too ;)
Wow... I don't know what else to say! I am amazed at how different angles, f stops, and shutter speeds can make such a BIG difference! I only wish I could drive. I have so much to learn from you guys! You have already taught me a lot about cameras. I Just want to thank you for doing this kind of thing for amateurs like me.
I really enjoyed watching this series! I'm not a Sol Cal fan, but it did give me a great feeling of nostalgia for the West Coast. Highway 101 north of Redding, Ca up to Southern Oregon probably is one of the most beautiful drives.
Love these California videos. The 395 is the best. There are a bunch of things you obviously didnt get to like the Bristlecone Forest, but that road is a treasure.
Really enjoyed these videos! And pleased to see you using the Pentax K1. I’ve shot Pentax most my life and they have always made some great gear. Glad to see you promote all the manufacturers equipment. Thanks for some great shows and keep them coming!
Loved it guys! Just getting into photography and I've really been inspired by you guys. We love travelling in our motorhome we build ourselves and the photography has come from that. Perhaps we can show you the Isle of Wight some time 😀
Loved this one, those sunrise Tufa shots are amazing :) And Yosemite just seriously looks like it's like Iceland, you point yoru camera somewhere take a photo and are blown away by it :D Well done production guys :)
Thanks for another great video, always look forward to your specials like this one and your tutorials. Speaking of tutorials have you considered doing one the another Mu43 camera, the Panasonic G85? Looking forward to your next video.
Great series, I hope to run into Eric and Stephanie in SoCal, they seem like great people. Can't wait for the next series. Will you guy come back to California for some sort of photo walk?
You guys should really visit Colorado. Go do the Sky Pond hike, and drive up Trail Ridge Road at Rocky Mountain National Park. And also climb the dunes at the Great Sand Dunes National Park. I'll try to submit an audition video sometime! But I can't really host you guys in my single bedroom apartment :P
I've been to see the tufas as Mono Lake and saw MILLIONS of flies. They were so fast that birds had a hard time catching them. The burgers & ribs at the gas station near the main entrance were also great. So go visit!! :)
Hey Tony and Chelsea....I am one of your big fan..Your tutorials help me out of in learning Photography to advance level.. You both please come to India for such videos or session.. Hope to see you soon in India...
Was the picture at 8:46 Kyle's? I didn't see any filters used with a 10 sec. exposure. Was this many exposures blended together? Looked like some pretty bright light as well.
bradcofo I had a single screw on 10 stop filter on the front of the lens there, it's hard to see. I left my rectangular drop in filters at home so the circular 10 stop is what I used for a lot of my shots that day.
A big Thank you to Tony & Chelsea, and everyone else involved, for making this fantastic video series! Beautiful footage, a higly enjoyable and inspirational watch! Many thanks, David
You are really amazing Tony and Chelsea! Absolutely amazing productions! Congratulations and thanks!
This series was incredible! I really hope it will continue and look forward to your next adventure!!

When was this shot because I remember that one reel of you meeting Kyle earlier, how long have you guys been editing this?
