This Game is one of the most stunninf from looking at it. Not just realistic. Totally stylized. Even for an ara with mostly realistic games with dark filter applied. Even it looks dark, it doesn't have such a filter on. It feels like a ps2, Gamecube, Xbox Ara Game, just on the next gen. Miss those times.
This is still one of my favorite Anime’s/games of all time. Genuinely an amazing time whether I’m playing it or watching it and this uses qte’s correctly in my opinion
Or just filled with japanes and chinese history and believes.... sure it's anime as heck, but the devoloper always did such stuff. Even he doesn't say it in the Video, even it's one important info about the devoloper. They didn't just made naruto ultimate ninja storm. Also the normal Ultimate Ninja Games on ps2. They are seriously naruto fans and did also the .HACK Games. And in most of theire games, in their logo, there is a naruto quote. And yeah, that's not the important stuff. The .HACK was. Because it shows, how this devoloper always had a strong was to anime.
I remember when I 100%'d this game back in the day. It was worth it, but wow, Chakravartan was insane. Probably one of the hardest 100%'s out there because you pretty much have to complete every QTE with a 99% accuracy rate which is easier than it sounds - but requires some insane focus. Also 100%ing some of the missions in the early part of the game were rather difficult as well Aside from that; amazing story, amazing visuals, and one of the most interesting ways I've ever experienced a game and I really wish there were more games like it. This game was truly a testament of 2010s gaming and I am really glad that I got to play it and would recommend who hasn't; to give it a try - especially if you like anime
genuinely love your content so much and i appreciate your dedication to constantly pumping these long videos out! good luck on 100k by the end of the year and thank you so much for the content
Oh that's a pleasant surprise! This is my favourite video game not for how good it is but for how much it just resonates with me. Gonna have to watch it later though
Capcom put Abigail(a palette swap of Andore Jr., who Hugo from SFIII is based on. In fact, both Abigail and Andore are from the same game; Final Fight, a late '80's beat 'em up)in SFV so I don't think most people not remembering Asura should be any issue.
I remember hearing about the game and thinking it looked interesting but what sold me on it was the demo with the Wyzen fight. It was just so spectical and grandiose I had to get it day one. Even showed it to my friend and he wanted to play it too. I think my favorite scene though is near the end when Asura and Yasha give the best bro fist ever.
I've just discovered your channel and enjoyed the whole video (skipped the DLC part, I didn't play it yet). I'm not a big anime fan, but this game is one of the best I've ever seen. Maybe it's because of the style, the characters don't look "smooth" as most anime games, they mimic the manga crayon style. Well, I see many other interesting videos on you channel, will see them soon. Good luck for the 100k goal!
Favorite characters were Asura for his strength and power, Yasha because he was cool and his slicing power was amazing, Deus because of those nunchucks, and Augus because of his love for battle and his sword.
Asura and yasha fighting together as rival friends through n through towards the end was pretty sick, at first i kinda hated yasha but seeing him give asura his power so that he can beat god made me like him, also that scene of a reincarnated asura with the street fighter characters was awesome
Watching this reminded me of another very anime-esque game that I'd love to see revisited on this channel. GOD HAND back from the PS2 era. How about it Mr Slippers 🤔
Honestly, one of my favorite games of that Era. I recall stumbling upon it randomly, though did hear about it and it caught my eye, plus I think knowing that Liam O'Brian aka the voice of Gaara from Naruto was the main guy influenced my purchase somewhat since I was into that show a lot back in the day. Even if it may be simple, I still found myself engaged with the QTEs. Unfortunately, due to Capcom being Capcom, I never was able to partake in the True Ending of the game, even though I did get my hands on the DLC Fights, since they were available at the time. Honestly, this game is the perfect example of doing QTE's right, IMO. Would mash the B Button into Oblivion. 10/10
“Saving up for a trip to the west coast” is such a loaded statement. Also it’s the better ocean but that’s it, all the best food and cultural landmarks are on the other coast my dude. You can get California food anywhere but you can only get get east coast food on the east coast. But who knows maybe you like paying 20 bucks for 10 chicken wings that look like they came off a pigeon.
I find the comments about how QtEs are so well done on this game and how much is a surprise kinda funny, if anyone played the Storm Naruto games by Cyberconnect 2 and their boss battles big set pieces from the story modes would know Cyberconnect 2 is a proper king at QtEs and spectable battles, their naruto battles could be argued to be better than the manga/anime ones and it shows how QtEs dont have to be bad stuff that just hinders gameplay Anyways I quite like ur channel and content, keep up the good work
While a lot of people praise TLOU and GoW for being one of the first 'Dad games', man, Aura is just so stupidly over the top you cannot help but love it. Part of me wishes it got a sequel, but I doubt t it would happen. Would love to see Asura en MvC tho!
there's a hot spring episode in this game where you get to chill with a group of women while sippin on sake and stuff, it's very short though, i'm surprised he'd hadn't mentioned that one in the video.
It's always funny to me, how this looks like naruto ultimate ninja storm. I know, it's the same devoloper. But damn, they could have give him slightly deeper fighting system. Would have made an difference.
Got this game when it came out abd koved it! Just a damn shame the cut the true ending off and sold it as DLC. Back when shitty gaming practices started.
They are the most interesting part because combat and shooting sessions aren't that great, but still I recommend you to play it. The QTEs make you "feel" the cutscenes, just watching then hasn't the same impact
To be Honest, "Asura's Wrath" isn't a real Video Game, it's basically just an Anime disguised as a Video Game, there's really not much Gameplay because it's more Cinematically/Cutscene Heavy with a bunch of QTEs thrown where they might as well don't serve any purpose at all, while some you can Fail, but their mostly just Scripted.
Asura's Wrath really is a cursed game. You remember the story and think "hell yeah, why didn't more people play this game? It was awesome!" And then you sit down to replay it, and go "oh yeah, it's ass to play."
