Good morning! If the container you put the fern in has no drainage holes, you will need some charcoal to keep the stagnant water from smelling.😊 Beautiful video and home. This is a geat start to my Saturday. Thank you!❤
Hi Carin! The plate collection over the hutch looks amazing and just right there. Planning by using paper templates saves a lot of angst and time; thanks for showing. The fern may be happier on the island in the kitchen-as you know, heat rises and it is a drier atmosphere. Spritzing the fronds daily in the sink should also help keep it happy. Thank you for sharing your home and talents with us; we are definitely the better for it!
Hi Janice!! I am so pleased with the plates over the hutch! I finally figured out what works. I moved the fern to the island table and have been spritzing the fronds. Thank you for the suggestion. I’m learning so much from all of you when it comes to the houseplants. So far so good…they are all still alive and thriving. Hopefully I can keep it that way! Thank you so much for always supporting my channel Janice!! ❤️
Hi Carin! Gorgeous as always! I love so much about this video! Your dress! The new prints, the candles and the way you’ve styled your table with that darling tablecloth. Fingers crossed for all the plants! 🪴 Love the plate wall! It looks sooo good! Everything is perfect! ❤🩷
When I was a girl, my mom, my grandma and I would go out and often people would comment how we all resembled each other. ❤️ I love having that portrait of her!
Thanks Carin 😌 Another lovely relaxing & helpful video.. I’ve been slowly collecting plates to use as decor and I plan to put them over my hutch.. as soon as I find the right hutch!!😅Not getting in a hurry.. and working on “enjoying the process” Your plates look lovely and the prints are so pretty.. Looking forward to your next video 😊 Belinda from Ky
The beauty is certainly in the process! I don’t think we would appreciate the outcome as much if it all came together at the snap of a finger. Thank you so much for always supporting this channel! I appreciate you so much! ❤️
Your dining area is so pretty. You did such a lovely job. Next time you want to pot a plant on your table, just lay down a paper bag or a plastic bag. Easier clean up. 😊❤😊🙏
Thank you so very much Donna!! Do you want to hear the worst thing?? I actually took a trash bag out to do just that, I put it on the kitchen counter…and forgot to use it. 😂 It’s the thought that counts right?? Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment!! ❤️
Beautiful dress. Everything looks so nice. I think your plant would like something a bit deeper. I put a plastic pot with rocks in a vessel then place my pot on that. Then I add water to the plastic dish. My ferns like to soak the water from the roots instead of on top.
Thank you so much!! The name of the song is No. 1 A Minor Waltz by Esther Abrami. I found it in UA-cam Creator Music, and it’s one of my favorite to use ❤️
Thank you so much!! I used the flatiron adhesive discs that I showed towards the end of the video. If you look in the description box of the video, I linked them. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch!! ❤️

I know this is an older video lol but it’s new to me, my question is how do you make your designs work together when you love and thrift multiple style and eras? I’ve always liked vintage but it’s only been a few years for me that I’m actually trying to style them now and I am stumped because I loooove Victorian but also the cute cottage aesthetic. And I see so many people using them together but for me it seems so hard hahah . Whyyy!??😂 I need to just stop trying to be so matchy matchy I’m guessing and don’t be scared to mix them? ❤ waiting for your reply 😂hahah thanks you
Thank you so much!! I am so so sorry that I somehow missed your comment!! Here is a link to the etsy shop that I found the prints on...there are so many amazing options! www.etsy.com/market/the_lost_gallery_shop
I love to put table clothes on but my grandchildren will for sure spill something on it during dinner.........then you has to be removed and done again.
To be honest my nearly 19 yo daughter tends to be a bit messy too. 😂 Half the time I make her push the tablecloth up when she is eating…accept during family dinners of course. 😂 Thank you so much for watching!!
A picture shouldn't be that difficult, use a simple nail, very small....if it's a large, large, heavy picture find a stud, use a hook or nail according to weight.
I only used a screw because the only nails I had left were finishing nails (that don’t have a thick head on them) and I was afraid it might end up slipping off the finishing nail if the garage door got closed too hard, which happens sometimes. Thank you so much for watching!
Lovely decor, lovely music, simple narration. Enjoyed this very much!
Thank you so so much!! I’m thrilled you enjoyed it!! ❤️

Why repot on top of spring tablecloth?
Wasn’t my finest moment. 🤣 I had a trash bag out to use under it and then forgot to use it. 🤷🏻♀️
Don't use so much of the rocks...you'll have more room in the planter...
I figured I might have used too many…thanks for the tip!
