Good morning friends!! March is here. And the official start to spring is only about 2 weeks away. And it feels like time is just flying by. I've been getting that creative itch to freshen up our home for the upcoming season, and today I'm going to focus my attention on the heart of our home. If If this is your first time here, my name is Carin and this is my channel Our Home on Lawrence. Decorating and creating warm, inviting spaces for my little family is my love language and I love to share my ideas. So grab a cup of coffee or your favorite cozy beverage, a warm blanket if winter is still full force where you are and join me as I add a little bit of spring inspired cottage charm to our kitchen.

Hi Carin! Really like your kitchen touches for spring! Something about yellow and green brightens everything- love the lemons and green apples. Like the rosemary plant in the window, the pot is beautiful. The painting really wasn’t an exorbitant price and it’s perfect. I think sometimes we have the mentality that all GW prices should be under $5 and then let items that we like stay there for someone else to buy. You have a wonderful eye for decorating and your talent shines through. Were you happy with the simmering pot and the ingredients you used? You are absolutely right Janice!! We expect everything at the thrift store to be a couple dollars. We should pick up what he love…unless the prices is just completely out the door of course. I would have definitely paid that price at an antique store…so why not at the thrift store too. I was happy with the simmer pot! Next time I’m going to add an orange and see what happens. They are fun to play with! You always brighten my day when I see you in the comments. ❤️

Don't mind me, just binge watching all of your old videos in my spare time, and I'm so glad I did because I've often wondered where certain pieces came from. Love the old print you found at Goodwill, and you're so correct. Goodwill is getting pricey for sure!

Your kitchen is so cute! I love the runner on your island and the napkin curtains at the kitchen window. That dark trim around that window is so pretty. I have the same Currier and Ives blue and white dishes that you have scattered around your kitchen. I use mine for decorations as well. I made curtains to go under my sink that has a similar look as the one you put over your dishwasher. That is such an awesome look! Isn't it fun to be able to make those small changes to get the look we are longing for?

I will definitely keep that in mind! I've probably done a better job of that in other videos. The kitchen is very small and shares the room with the dining area...so sometimes it can be tricky getting wider shots. But I will for sure work on that for future videos. Thank you so much for watching!
