Undead Unluck (Japanese: アンデッドアンラック, Hepburn: Andeddo Anrakku) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshifumi Tozuka. It has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since January 2020, with its chapters collected in 16 tankōbon volumes as of May 2023. An anime television series adaptation produced by David Production and TMS Entertainment is set to premiere in October 2023.
Fuuko Izumo is a young girl who has been living in seclusion for 10 years since an incident that left more than 200 people dead, including her parents, when she was eight years old. Following the completion of her favorite long-running girls' manga series, Fuuko decides to commit suicide. She is tormented by the fact that she cannot be touched by anyone due to her "unluck" ability, which brings bad luck to anyone she comes into contact with in the flesh. She meets an "undead" man who has amazing regenerative abilities and who desires to die the best death possible, disliking his immortal life. For the sake of convenience, Fuuko names him Andy because he is undead, and they begin to work together. However, they soon see themselves chased by the Union (ユニオン, Yunion) , a mysterious organization.
Eventually, an assassin of the Union called Shen tells them that the organization has a special team consisting of 10 people with special abilities, and that by joining the team, they will no longer be hunted, so the two decide to join in order to attain Andy's wish for "the best death", and face numerous enemies and the mysteries of the world.
The missions of the team are proposed by a book called Apocalypse (黙示録, Apokaripuso), which has supernatural powers. There are people with the ability to negate the rules of the world called Negators (否定者, Hitei-sha). The Union is an organization of Negators specialized in the hunting of UMA, (ユーマ, Yūma) or Unidentified Mysterious Animals, creatures that are the embodiment of the earth's rules (like thirst and decay) and are created by God as both the objectives for the quests provided by Apocalypse, as well as punishment for failing them. They also must defeat a group of Negators that opposes the Union called Under (アンダー, Andā) and Regulators (調整者, Regyurētā), beings chosen to do God's bidding.

Speculative stuff possibly about modern events or breakdowns of events prior, there’s so much to get into every chapter with Undead unluck and it’s just insanely good.
Clarification on power scaling and mechanics so nobody gets pissed off or confused.
That the thing with the Negators. MECHANICALLY their powers are concept level. The Negators themselves are super human.
And by this I mean Andy negates the very concept of death. Not even Lord Beerus himself using a Hakai can physically kill him. Bc using a Hakai results in death of both the body and spirit. And Andy negates death entirely.
Zeno on the other hand is fully capable of "killing" Andy by simply erasing him from existence.
Another example is Unmove and Unvoid. Unmove isn't stopping time, he's literally halting whatever he looks at. Doesn't matter how strong you are, unless you have an ability to override Unmove, you're not going anywhere.
Unvoid overrides Ultra Instinct. Any attack thrown by Unvoid cannot be avoided or dodged. You HAVE to take it.

Great video 👍 There are so many subtle details you don't pick up on when you initially read the story, but when you go back you see a big reveal was always slowly cooking in the background. Really great storytelling, plus, so many interesting characters with great designs!
Oh so heres a little context regarding the thumbnail. That thing. Is called an Uma. And it is a "rule given form". In this universe there are beings called Negators that Negate universal laws. And Umas who are the Rules themselves. The Umas are connected to reality and the universe itself. Each of them bringing cause and effect when they are brought into existence.
That thing is called Uma Galaxy. The way it effected reality was the addition of celestial bodies such as planets and stars. Meaning that up until it arrived, the Undead Unluck universe consisted entirely of a sun, a moon, and earth. Thats it. The concept of the "Solar System" did not exist until Galaxy was born.
And there are others. Some are minor. Some are major. But the thing is, their deaths hold more of an impact than them existing. Killing an Uma completely erases everything associated with it.
For instance kill Uma Thirst and nobody feels thirsty. Bc thats the new rule of the universe.
Uma Insect dies, all the bugs vanish.
Uma Burn and Uma Frost, nothing burns and nothing gets cold no matter how the temperature drops. You could submerge yourself in liquid nitrogen and you wouldnt freeze.
Heres a better one. Killing Uma Gravity will alter the earths gravitational pull.
Killing Uma Move will alter the physics and science behind movement and everything associated with it.
And the worst part is that some of these Umas are extremely powerful yet their too important to kill. And some of these things have a fucking attitude problem.
Spoilers from the manga: the next 4 quest given was to stop all 4 seasons summer, fall, winter and spring but thay ended up killing 3/4 so even tho thay dident get the penalty Ragnarök the earth was frown outof balance and slowly flying in to the sun showing how dangerous thes rules are alive or dead

UU is gonna make a lot of people pissed. And i can confidently say that Juiz solos their favorite verse and she wouldnt even have to lift a finger to do. Straight up mind control at the conceptual level and unless you scale to concept level youre fucked the moment she looks at you.

@@JToaster with any luck the anime makes it to the Reset. Bc that's essentially the final leg of the entire series.
If the 99th reset is season one. The 100th reset is season two.
@@JToaster At 12 episodes, the series could probably make it to the Autumn fight or at least right after the Unrepair fight and at 24, it might make it to Andy leaving after Fuuko dies. But both would have to be pretty fast paced.
