- Our first sort of negative review came at the Applewood Farmhouse Grill last week. It left us with a lot of questions. So many agreed with our assessment of the Grill.
However, the thing we heard over and over again was that the breakfast at Applewood Farmhouse, the original restaurant was great!
So we took Connor our son and went back for breakfast to see if the Apple Barn complex and the Applewood Farmhouse could be redeemed so to speak. Come along and find out what we thought!

On a side note, as a 53 year old woman, I just want to say how jealous I am of your beautiful hair color and flawless skin. I heard you say in a previous video it’s all natural, you are so lucky. I'm glad the restaurant was redeemed. Everything looked so good! Breakfast is a big favorite of mine, and yes more bfast videos is by me. I love, love, love Swaggertys sausage! We can actually get it here in Southeast KS in our little mom and pop grocery. It's more expensive but so worth it! Brooks, I think your son knows you well! 😅 Love y'all!

This was a good video food review. I think it is important to show the good and the not so good in food reviews. We have not been to the farmhouse for breakfast so we need to try it. The lunch there was about the same as you alls experience at the grill.
For us restaurants like Cracker Barrel now has a better breakfast than their lunch and dinners.
So we can see and understand that the Farmhouse Restaurant Breakfast would be better.
Good to see your son in the video I think he is going to be a great food review reporter.

Thanks for the review guys. Glad you liked the food and atmosphere this time. The wife and I prefer to eat a small breakfast at home and spend our $ on lunch/dinner out. However, I will admit that the food looked good so no complaints there. Looking forward to coming north in a little over a week once school is out. Keep up the good work!

Glad you enjoyed the breakfast. As I told you before Applewood Farmhouse is one of our favorite breakfast places Five Oaks Farm and Crockett's round out the top three for us. There are many other breakfast places that a good. Keep the videos coming!

We do enjoy breakfast at the Farmhouse Restaurant, usually when we have a gift card, which I got one for Mother’s Day so I will enjoying a meal there on an upcoming trip! Our favorite place for breakfast is Frank Allen’s, would like to see y’all try that for breakfast sometime, it’s so economical, and so delicious! Tastes just like a breakfast your mom or grandma would have made for you! 😋

Enjoyed Connor! We can get Swaggerty's out here in Utah. It's my favorite. My other favorite are flatter, crispy edged pancakes. Thicker ones are too dry for me and require too much syrup which in turn makes it all too gaggy sweet. TMI, I know

While looking thru the menu at the end of the video, I noticed that the julep is not called apple cider julep, but it is called Applewood julep. Maybe that is why it is not Apple-ey.(spelling)

More breakfast maybe a breakfast buffet or all you can eat pancake breakfast.

I've never been to either of the restaurants there. But I've always been told by family and friends that the original farmhouse restaurant was better. Brooks, I understand the "redneck eggs benedict" comment.....that's east Tennessee talk (I'm from east Tennessee too.....Chattanooga area 😉). When I make the apple julep at home, I add more apple juice and less of the other juices.....because as you say.....the other juices kind of overpower the apple juice. My favorite place in the smokies for "made from scratch" biscuits has to be Log Cabin Pancake House in Gatlinburg. Their pancakes are awesome too. But there is none better at making apple butter than what you get at the Apple Barn......I buy that stuff by the case!! 👍

A BIG no to the square french fries. You have to serve real home fries, cooked on the griddle, for breakfast. I wouldn't go there just because of that!
