I love your updates. How is your hair transplant journey coming along? Also, how many inches does the stylist typically cut if you’re doing it 2x a year?
Thanks for watching! I did a few videos over the past few years stating that I'm leaving my edges alone. I'm not stressing about that anymore...lol. My stylist cuts 1 inch.
Thank you! No, I mentioned in another video I decided not to. I also believe I showed my edges in that video. I will leave the link.ua-cam.com/video/UFJUxDUGEzw/v-deo.html
I am transitioning, and I don't want to do a big chop. I am going to wait it out. I also alternate between blow drying and flat ironing. I am 6 mos pist relaxer, I stoppedg relaxing because I am getting a few grays, and I don't want to color and relax. Can you give advice on jow to grow out the crown area more, I am struggling.
You can try dyeing your gray hairs with Henna. My hair is mid back length at the moment. I’ve been natural for 7 years. Through trial and error I have learned low manipulation is the best way to grow out your hair. I avoid heat as much as possible I only straighten my hair for trims which I only do once or twice a year. I keep my hair in twists all the time so that it doesn’t tangle and when I go out I style my hair with headscarf. There are many easy styles to do with headscarves. I noticed a huge difference in my hair health when I started doing hair masks on my weekly wash day. For daily care I just dampen my twists run some leave in conditioner through it and style my headscarf. You can try the old school method for your crown area. Blue magic never failed me. Then again with all your heat styling it could be possible that it’s breaking off the hair in your crown area
Thanks for watching! Both relaxing and heat styling can cause a lot of damage. It's good that you stopped relaxing. Maybe take a break from the heat to to give your hair a break. When I transitioned I didn't use any heat and kept my hair in plaits or twists. Also, make sure to use a good moisturizer, deep conditioning treatment, and a good scalp oil. Castor oil might help.
I am growing my relaxer out, I don't want to big chop, I am post 11 mos. having relaxer, I can't seem to get my hair to grow past brastrap, my hair is long, but I am trying to grow it out 3 more inches.
Hi Latonya, are you deep conditioning your hair regularly? Also check your ends to see if they need trimming. I never big chopped when transitioning . I do dust my ends every two months. I deep condition with heat twice a month. Hair is very strong and healthy. Longer than it's ever been. I do not use any direct heat. Good luck on your journey.
Thank you for the update. I've been transitioning for over a year and a half. I look forward to 💯% natural hair.
Beautiful hair. Love straight hair natural.
Your Hair is so😍😍😍😍😍
You’re videos are so helpful! How do you maintain straight hair in the gym/humidity?
I was just going to ask the same questions. Curious to read her response
Thanks! I'll have to do a video 😊
