  • Five planets, dwarf planet, planetoid, and two fairly bright planetary nebulae were visible at the same time in the sky after sunset in late 2021. In January 2022, Mercury takes the place of Venus. I shot the video on December 25, 2021, moments before Venus disappeared below the horizon. As a result, the sky was enough dark that it was possible to film all these objects. The planets Venus, Saturn and Jupiter are visible to the naked eye, the rest of the objects shown in the film (Neptune, Uranus, Ceres, Pallas, M57 - The Ring Nebula and M27 - The Dumbbell Nebula) can only be viewed with binoculars and a telescope.
