    Part 3: • Benzino on If Will Smi...
    Part 1: • Benzino on Will Smith ...
    --------
    In the latest clip, Benzino and Shawn Prez continued to debrief the on-stage altercation between Will Smith and Chris Rock. Both acknowledged that individuals sitting in the first few rows of a show are "fair game" to comedians, as well as the fact that Chris Rock roasted other celebrities besides Jada Pinkett. Benzino and Shawn Prez also expressed their disappointment in Will's behavior on a night that was supposed to be his crowning achievement, with Benzino drawing comparisons between Will's actions and the actions of 2Pac on the night of his death. To hear both men discuss the potential ripple effects of the infamous altercation, check out the clip above.

    Will made a series of mistakes that night. Starting with the slap, to screaming from his seat, to his acceptance speech that did not include an apology to Chris, to then partying the night away while singing, Gettin Jiggy Wit It with his whole family. Jada made the mistake of not realizing the amazing opportunity Chris presented her with by comparing her to GI Jane, who was a strong ass warrior woman that Jada could have easily parlayed into a GI Jane 2 franchise, which she would have been perfect for. Chris is the only one who was mature and professional enough to think beyond the moment, because he definitely had some jokes lined up that he could have easily unleashed. But instead decided to remain professional after realizing the hot ass mess state of being Will was obviously in. Kudos to Chris, the Rock!

    • @koollee
      @koollee 2 роки тому +12

      The main, extreme difference is that Tupac didnt give Orlando a fair one (1 on 1).. he had 3 or 4 of his homies involved in the kickin nad stompin, plus it wasnt his actual beef to begin with.. he was told "thats the cat who snatched my DeathRow chain".
      Tupac made a big mistake and found out the hardway what ThugLife really is.
      To me one of the worst parts is.. Suge bein accused of gettin Tupac hit. Suge has been a rider for his artists mainly. Dre abandoned DR records and Snoop Dogg during his murder trial.. it was only Suge with Snoop, thats why Snoop visits Suge to this day and pays homage.. Suge bailed Tupac out to begin with.. no one else.. tho Snoop advised it.. Suge got Vanilla Ice to come clean in dealin with Chocolate Boy.. Suge got Eazy E to free Dr Dre from Ruthless records.
      Everyones first instinct was what actually did happen to Tupac that night, but then people started lies and rumors of Suge settin him up (in the same dam car.
      As ma nga used to say.. "N*ggas and flies" ... (stay in some sh*t.. smh

    • @koollee
      @koollee 2 роки тому

      .. not to mention, Suge went straight to prison after Tupac was murdered. He did 5yrs straight for violatin his probation, gettin involved in the stompin of Orlando wit Tupac, Nate Dogg and the other cat (forgot his name.

    Benzino, you make valid points on the comparison. Pac's entourage should have definitely advised him to stand down, that's something that's handled differently.The guy he put hands on was not an average Joe and Pac,being the artist,could have been shielded from this and other altercations.Chris Rock,on the other hand, was not surrounded by Boys or security, so his options were limited to filing an assault charge, but not limited to finding the Vanity Fair after party, but I don't believe that Chis Rock rolls like that.

      I think that any rushed public apology is more to protect his own image and is really not sincere, especially since he didn't think to apologize to Chris in his speech. I think he also should not have been able to give that speech. I have gained a newfound respect for Chris with how he kept the show going (many people would not have had the same rational sense and restraint) and that when he had his first comedy show after the incident, he just told the group he is still processing it. That is a very mature way of handling a traumatic experience in your life. No need for public statements even if you are in the public eye. Just go about your business and deal with it in your own time.

    Will was wrong. Period.
    The apathy for Chris by some is wrong. If someone did that to you or your family member, you’d be mortified and ready to get revenge.
    The leniency for Will by some is wrong. No way in hell should you think you can strike anyone unless you’re physically defending yourself from an attack. For a joke? Naw, I don’t care about why. Handle issues with words and maturity.

    Five things to take away from this.
    1. Will may have reacted after seeing Jada's expression but Will is a grown ass man. She did not physically take his hand, walk his ass up there to slap Chris. He made that choice to react in that way to prove that he stands up for his wife...hell maybe it was a bit of an ego thing as well. He is 100% responsible for his actions.
    2. If you wrong someone and you apologize to everyone else except the person you hit then you apologize to the person a day or two after the fact, that apology means nothing.
    3. If you are with someone who triggers the worst in you/ baits you/ gaslights directly or indirectly, maybe it's time to walk away. I am not speaking about the incident only. There is something toxic about their situation. If you feel that someone else's attitude triggers a negative reaction within you, that might not be a healthy situation to be in.
    4. We make some of these celebrity feel so high and mighty that they feel like they can get away with anything. We need to hold them accountable because in real sense, they are where they are because of their supporters. I am not belittling their hard work. I am saying if people don't watch movies or listen to music or purchase products/pay for services, where will they get the money from? Humility is very important but sadly unpopular within that circle.
    5. Will reacted out of emotions forgetting that he was in a room full of people who were probably going to hire him, partner with him, give him endorsements etc. Even if you are your own boss, at some point you will need other people. You might feel like you are untouchable until people feel like you are a liability. That's when reality will hit you where it hurts.

    Men are more emotional than women. A father is there to show and tell you how to handle those moments when you want to inflict violence on another person rather be justified or not. Prison and grave are filled with people who couldn't walk away from a minor annoyance.

      U buggin. Men TODAY are more emotional than in times past. But men are not wired to be emotional. They are taught that because it brings them down to level of Woman. If you can handle your emotions Woman cant do nothing to you.

      Women are wayy more emotional than men. Emotional men however are more dangerous to society because they use violence more often to express emotions. But by and large, women are infinitely more emotional.

      @@jazzjackson9875 Rubbish, men are far more emotional but we don't have a outlet to express it. Poetry, arts, movie entertainment even some wars were caused just to gain the affection of a woman.

    The proposition (Tupac) is EXACTLY the same. We know the circumstances are different but so what. How many times have we seen comedians fuck with folk in the audience? A lot. How many times have we seen, as a result, someone jump on stage and asault the comic? Rarely, if ever. Until this time. I just lost a high school classmate to gun violence after he fought someone over his wife under circumstances that 99.9% of the time would never ever ever result in a fist fight, let alone a shooting. But this time it did. And there is no do over.

    • @bokardithetaomicron4932

      @deadre dadon Mob Piru and Southside Crips...their reputables will tell you that they never know what might happen. Touch somebody and its words and laughs. Touch somebody a different day, and gun play. If you're saying that's how Tupac lived, ok. Hell, maybe that's how Will lives. Ok. But if that's not the way a person lives (damn sure not how I live) then that person needs to check themselves. What's that verse by Snoop in Neva left..."your homies plotting on some get back, but you can't cause nicca you dead!"

    • @Trblsum96

      @deadre dadon and you try to belittle every time you see Tupac’s name spoken.. He is more talented and successful in death, than you will ever be if you live to be 100.

As for Benzino the new trend of going to the Illustrious Red Roof Inn to Shower with Dahomey is the Comedy he better deal with🤣😂
