I stopped reading the source after that. Also, I’m not a fan of Em. Just not a fan of his style, but this clown has such a hard on for him its ridiculous.
Yelawolf, Mac Miller, Asher Roth, Vanilla Ice, G Easy, Lil Dicky, Paul Wall and Action Bronson don’t get ranked number one or Top 25 and their white right? Eminem is skilled and talented
But all of those dudes have a big audience that a black artist of the same skill would not have. Paul Wall is definitely the one seen as part of black culture, though.
We throw genuis around a lot 😆 Eminem had a good career, and he's a good rapper, no cap. Makes horrible music. Imo His best work is on features with other people picking the beats and cadences he lacks soul. I think Eminem gets sensitive about his ranking. He literally called us racist on his last vs. for not goating him. That's laughable from a reformed racist allegedly 🤣 He owed an apology a real one. Not a song on one of his weak records. That said, he can be everything they need him to be. Dont change shit in real life.
@@akeemMagic01 While I'm not a fan of a lot of his music, I wouldn't say it's horrible, it's just not my usual boom bap type. It's actually very good but for a specific audience. I said it. The entire show is talking about Eminem. I made a comment and got hate for it. I was right though. Every time this man has an interview he just talks about Eminem.
Cause hes jealous that a white boy came and did it the best or better than black and brown rappers which is crazy it shouldnt matter hes not a vulture he dont even dress like us he has his own style
To be fair, they asked him how he felt about the Em disses and he responded. No different than Dame Dash constantly being questioned about Jay Z or Ja Rule constantly being questioned about 50. Not to mention, it’s been awhile since we seen an interview from Benzino so he’s gonna get questioned about Em. It’s an interview lol
@bnevz Absolutely. Benzino would have brought it regardless, though. He's been talking about another man for 25-plus years. It's not normal. God bless you and your family!!!!
I do understand Zino but Em brought 50 Cent Banks Yayo Buck Game D 12 Healped Royce 5'9" Obie Trice Slaughter House Griselda Shade 45 gave Sway a New Platform Produced Tupac Resurrection Em definitely gave back to the culture ..... Its the fans that ruin it . The fandom ruins alot of things .
"It's the fans that ruined it." along with people trying to capitalize on the possibility of splits and fractures down racial lines. The same people that capitalized on the term "East Coast/West Coast" beef.
There goes that special treatment Benzino was was talking bout. Em did not give us 50 or G-Unit. G-Unit was already buzzing and making waves with their mixtapes. Stop the bullsh*t. Or how these young fellaz say stop the cap. Same goes with slaughterhouse too. And that Pac album that Em produced was Pacs wackest album.
Did you not here him say they wouldnt be fucking with them if Em didnt co sign them. That means the fans dont really like them unless Em say its ok to like them. They really dont like the ppl , the culture or whatever they create unless they dont have their own in it that they can support. Thats pure racism at its finest.
The source was literally the most powerful magazine in hip hop history. He can talk about that til he dies and not be wrong. You wasn’t outside if you can’t comprehend that.
Im disappointed Math didnt give Benzino push back when he said Em didnt pay his dues. He was a battle rapper. Em went thru the gauntlet and was killin niggas to make a name for himself. Comin from somebody who use to battle, Math should've said that
@baazbana ur whole answer is debunked. Ja rule canibus went at Em and started it with him. If they where so scared that wouldn’t happen. I’m talking about Jay Z And Nas. They have machines too.
Eminem was and still a student to the game that is why he is among the greatest rapper! The guy knows the history of hip hop ! Even Rakim says he is one of his favorite rapper! Rap really became mainstream when white college men and women started singing live He's just a friend by Biz Markie on Yo MTV raps during Spring Break. Why after that no white rapper came out with the same succes than Eminem?
Vanilla ice was the first to bring rap music to the main stream and all the people that bought his album also bought Dr. Dre chronic and Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle albums.

Eminem paid his dues he was underground for years. I seen him open up for buckshot n Sean price n La in 96 dudes a hater I’m not even a Eminem fan just saying he was around for awhile before he blew up
Eminem always paid homage, when he won a Grammy for the best rap album, he thanked all the MC’s he looked up to. Also benzino needs to realize Eminem is a better rapper than a lot of rappers in Hip Hop history.
Exactly, I’ll take Eminem’s peak 1998-2003 over almost rappers ever. His cadence, the hooks, the charisma. He could’ve been Mexican, Asian, It doesn’t matter. He was that good.
It’s the only thing that people want to talk about. If he didn’t talk about Eminem he wouldn’t get on the shows people say em is irrelevant yet people mention his name to get views
Eminem said it himself "Though I'm not the first king of controversy I am the worst thing since Elvis Presley To do Black music so selfishly And use it to get myself wealthy (hey)"
Those are the "cool whites" He's not talking about them. He's talking about the ones who only listen to death metal and Eminem. The ones who run up in any emcee discussion and straight up call you the hard r if you don't put Em in all 5 spots like Dylan!
Benzino’s reason for having a problem with Eminem is baseless. Everything Mecca so called easily explained on Benzino’s behalf didn’t describe Eminem. He’s just agreeing and saying anything.💯
He saying that Was his problem with him because that what he thought Em was going to be like hell there plenty examples before and after Em that proves his thought process right but you probably right he may not be like that but we don’t know him personally to know for sure
His skin colored definitely helped sales but I think it was the co-sign he got from Dr Dre that helped him more than anything. Dre’s co-sign got him through the door and his ability kept him in the room.
@@jamiecloughgaming25387 And without Em, we don't know if Aftermath would be as successful. A lot of people forgot that Aftermath wasn't doing so great until they signed Em.

Em made his mark he told his story he took nothing away from the culture he wasnt saying he was in the hood, streets, selling drugs, holding guns he story and life was something to tell and he did it very well benzino the only one mad at em dude racist period
No denying to Em's skills etc ,but at the same time he did get the Elvis treatment too ,Benzino do have some points ,but at the end of the Em won that battle salute to Matt Hoffa and Benzino great interview 💯
I think eminem being completely unknown until sslp was him paying his dues, he started rapping in the 80s the sslp didn't come out till 99. He literally rapped in obscurity for over 10 years till he became the biggest hip hop artist of the early 2000s.
He was NOT completely unknown until the SSLP. Obscure? Nah, he was just unknown and obscure to YOU. He was known throughout the underground circuit with Royce 5’9” and Da Outsidaz before he even signed with Dre. Not to mention him being on the Soundbombing 2 mixtape before his deal. @@swanm3ta850 yeah I agree with you he was big in parts of Detroit but not big in america, I mean in terms of mainstream which he wasn't until he got with dre but even then that was luck because if dre didn't hear the infinite mixtape we might not of got eminem.
Racism is really about what they did to us. And how they treated us. There is no history of black people in america enslaving white people. Or Hanging there family’s
Eminem 100% paid his dues. He had to go through the battle rap scene. Even Busta Rhymes and Rah Digga were part of his journey before he got signed to Aftermath. Eminem is a dope MC and the best thing is he continues to pay homage to those before him. Elvis on the other hand clearly stole black music and didnt pay homage. Now if he did someone correct me. With the full evidence
its more to it than that sure em paid his dues but in AMERIKKKA which i know more about than you, it dont always work like that. meaning sure he did all the right things BUT SO DID THOUSANDS OF OTHER BLACK ARTIST. you dont think canibus could match Em bar for bar.....
No Canibus cannot. But you’re correct on everything else you said. EM got special treatment, being used as the Great White Hype, to influence white kids into hip hop for merch and sales. Two things can be true at the same time.

I kinda wish Em would have stayed on the underground. So that he could be respected as a emcee and that’s it. Once his career went nuclear everybody got sumn to say. What a conundrum, dude just wanted to be great at rap. Must be a bittersweet feeling to be shunned cause of your style or pigment .. might be how Tech N9ne feels too, dude is great but the hood don’t really fuck with him.
The problem with Benzino's story is that he never actually knew where Eminem came from. Not every rapper has an "NY story to tell", so to speak. So to discredit him from the jump was already a bad move. To address the Elvis thing...ok i get it. But how many OTHER white rappers have even come close to the level of success that he has? He speaks the truth
Eminem is a beast! I've been a fan for the last 20 years
Eminem has earned his spot in hip hop simply because he one of the greatest mc ever
I'm from Romania, i started listening to rap when i heard "My name is" and i found out what hip hop is from that man Marshall Bruce Mathers, and now i'm a mc, a real hip hop head and i studied hip hop because of him. I have huge paintings over my bed of Biggie, Big Pun, Big Daddy Kane, Wu-Tang, Rakim, Dj Kool Herc, Nas, Ice T... i listen to hip hop from all over the world and i live it. I write every day, i rap every day and i love and respect the culture. All i have to say. One Love.
Edit: i'm white, if that wasn't obvious.
“We not killing y’all, we killing us”. That hurt my soul!
Damn that's so true sad but true
I legit scrolled to see if anyone caught that. Like that was the last line, but was really the only line that hit.
@@vinnyninja3552 exactly, me too.
That's not true. Black people kill more white people than the other way around. And they kill each other also. They kill more overall.
How is it impossible for benzino to be racist? All he talks about is race... crazy

Great Interview Math Hoffa 👑❤.
Em did get the elvis treatment, cant cap on that BUT he was nice nice wit it too tho. Its both.
He always show his respect and say names like nas jay biggie pac rakim bdk kool g rap ll cool j wu tang clan and other

His logic doesn't add up.. if the royce theory was accurate, than both 50 and royce wouldnt have sold.
Hell black folk didnt buy albums on average it was white people.
Also he can employ whites black and asians at the source.. the hiphop bible, but a white rapper isnt allowed?
This just sounds like hate
Niggaz gotta stop focusing on how it was back in the days, it's a new day in time.
White dude here, grew up on Run DMC, bone thugs, Nas, DMX, Snoop, Dre, pac, biggie, Warren G. All before Eminem, Em just was the first dude who made me sit back and be stoked one of us were doing it so well and not vanilla ice style.
He elevated the art to more people.
There is some nasty racial tones happening here. Not cool.
Couldn’t of said it better
Yea agree its ridiculous the onky thing i agree is that em doesnt make music that makes me want to bump it in a party but to fuel my energy and to listen to some dark story telling that hits hard hes the go to guy

Benzino just mad he got bodied by Eminem.
How did Eminem get the Elvis treatment when Dr. Dre risked his own career to sign him to After Math Records?
The rap industry always shunned anyone that wasn't black.
Eminem was one of many to open the door for other cultures to come in and tell their stories through rap and helped to expand the genre to more places.
Not true.
@@antmyrick2063what is the true then? Who was the main factor to open the genre to other cultures?
I'm checking out every episode❤
Yeah i fall in love with hip hop through Em and because of Em now I have Pac Biggie , Ice Cube , NWA , Rakim , Jay Z , Black Thought , Method Man , Redman ... In my playlist .. ❤
That's dope, everybody started somewhere, the fact you listen to Black Thought, Meth & Redman and everyone else you mentioned because of Em is proof. I'm no better than you just because I heard Melle Mel in 1983 and fell in love with rap. Every fan no matter how hardcore had a time where they didn't know what rap was. And it doesn't matter if a person's intro to rap is from watching Eminem on MTV or listening to The Roots on an underground hiphop radio show. You gotta start somewhere.
You're not the person Benzino is talking about. Clearly you love hip hop. He's talking about those who only have MM in there collection
So many of his fans aren't like that though. They don't fuck with hip hop or the culture. I lost count of so many I heard say I don't like rap but I love that eminem guy. So many people don't wanna except its those people who have made em the biggest seller or try to place him above the goats of this culture. Em isn't placed properly historically and that's my beef. His catalog simply can't touched so many people and if u think it does past his first 3 albums, I question how many Discographies u have heard and how u take in lyrics and Beats. And even with the first 3 albums, subject matter alone is just not most people's cup of tea. All thay silly goofy shit has aged horribly. I cant even play half those songs now they sound so bad. But hey , if he's your guy to each is own. Lastly, the fact Em has over 60 million monthly listeners on Spotify and Nas, Jay, Dmx, Redman, Method man, Ghostface, thought solo and the roots, raekwon, Rakim, COMBINED should tell u everything u need to know. It's laughable. Those aren't hip hop fans I promise u. We gotta call this shit what it is. Correction Eminem show is pretty solid. So 4 out of 12 ain't good. 🤷♂️
@@jmar5127it is all subjective but you can’t say it aged horrible🤣! Because numbers on streaming does not lie, great production on many songs and I am not a Eminem fan but his lyrical skillz, together with word play, cadence, flow switches nobody matches that because they sound the same. Em is very versatile and has made such an impact on artists after him. Younger generations listens to his old albums and also the newer ones. Recovery great album, the latest MTBM side a and b where Eminem had some great collabs and new style of rapping where he really has fun. It is clear you do not listen and deep inside choose to be negative because you just do not like it. Biggie is one of the GOATs and PAC with how many albums? Eminem still outraps all people and is 50! And if his music aged badly then OMG the world is nuts and you are the chosen one we should learn from🤣🤣🤣

Eminem's not in my Top 5 but he's definitely in my top 10! Solid rapper... Now here's a question: if being white and having little Rhymes gives you the Elvis treatment then why isn't there another Eminem?
Honestly, he wasn't even an Angel; he talked about sucialdal thoughts and other provocative stuff so he sure wasn't a role model like N'sync or Backstreet boys! Eminem was huge because he made me a black guy know that not all white people lives luxuriously... He was vulburable and human. Man openly told us he grew up in a trailer park and as blacks we loved him for his realness.

It all boils down to black folk hating on a white boy for being a great rapper. It’s as simple as that.
