My first drop of Smite was Focused Fury/One for All on week one. Since the database wasn't up at that time, was shocked to see it.
Seems like 390s are in a similar spot like 180 HCs and 180 scouts. Not bad, but needing that little extra from a damage perk/radiant/ect or something else in order to really do work in PvP.
Overall feels great to shoot and being a 390 pulse fan (and a new kinetic to boot), will def be the first raid weapon I craft. Lots of stuff this thing can do.
I definitely want to grind out this weapon. I already have some rolls in mind that I wanna try out
For Warlocks, pugilist and firefly. Melee to proc radiance, firefly counts as solar weapon damage so explosions do 20% more damage bringing back your melee more quickly. Pair with a solar wave frame....
that is nasty. you're raining down hellfire with that build and it's not even considering what exotic you run. Chromatic fire 👀👀👀
Hunters too, w/ Calibans or Athrys or even a neutral exotic considering knives are easy to hit.

ive always loved how it reloads like an auto rifle, i wish bungie would make more weapons that are like that, it would really add some spice to the way they make weapon cosmetics

Big fan of the one New Monarchy Hakke scout rifle that has the more conventional M14-esque weapon design. I believe DARCI shares that same base gun model too.
Are all pulses bullpup? Sure seems like a lot of them are.
Adrenaline Junkie is such a great perk, glad to see it’s getting talked about on this pulse
I just watched some videos on weapons that rolled with it before it got buffed to grant damage on weapon kills. I’m surprised by how much a tiny change can impact a perk’s reception. Credit to the developers!
@@user-cz3yk5qf7m that’s not a tiny change at all, it went from getting damage based on MULTIPLE grenade kills to getting damage from all kills. I’m pretty sure it stacked damage from grenade kills, so just one kill wasn’t that much. was such a bad perk before, idk why they didn’t make it like Swashbuckler from the start

I managed to get the adrenalin junkie demolitionist on my second drop. Immediately masterworked it. Pretty solid gun. Having said that im still saving spoils for tarrabah. If I wasn't id be buying the pattern for this.
Also 390s buff came after this video and it slaps.
I’m glad to see adrenaline and demo on the same gun, I can’t wait to make like 3 different versions of this gun, and just have fun.
For my experience with the weapon, the vertical recoil is extremely important. My current roll has a hard pull to the right
On pc its a lazer beam

I got two god tier smites in my first kings fall run. One with moving target eye of the storm with arrowhead. Its an absolute dueling machine. Yes its true you will get outgunned depending on the skill of your opponents. But there is no better feeling than outgunning them when they had the advantage. The other was focused fury swash. Which on bonk titan does crazy damage. You are already getting radiant with the hammer throw if you are running the proper setup. And you are getting the max stacks from swash instantly. It shreds in pve. Making it very good for running and gunning, ad clear, and champion damage.
I still have nothing other than arms and chest dropping
I love this weapon. Bungie did a great job with all of the raid weapons.
focused fury + firefly is 100% what im going for, what makes a fantastic primary imo is its ability to take on crowd control and majors and I think focused fury pairs very well with the origin trait.
I'm so glad Smite is back and more importantly good. I loved this weapon in D1.
I really enjoy how you always cover so many rolls and how they work with different play styles. It’s so nice watching a weapon review and hearing all these possibilities instead of someone going, “hey this is the absolute god roll forget everything else.” Been a decently long time fan of the channel and I’m gonna continue to enjoy your takes and thoughts of all things Destiny. :)
This is exactly why I come to this dude. My first was Something New, and I actually kept more than just the Demo/Well just to try some things out! Would never have kept anything else otherwise.
Pugilist and Grave Robber should merge into one perk like Demolitionist.
my assumption is that they decided to not let pugilist reload on purpose because melee abilities usually come back faster or have more charges to begin with

Firefly and Demo was the exact roll I knew I wanted when I saw the perks. Focused fury and Firefly would be interesting especially if it increases Firefly explosion damage

Got my first ever We Ran on Wednesday using this gun (Moving Target and Firefly). Never thought the weapon I'd use to finally get one would be a 390 pulse! Absolutely in love with it
I know he said no go on it, but my plan is to make it either with Focused Fury or Moving Target and Eye of the Storm, I just have to feel out Focused Fury

Got a Pugilist/Swashbuckler roll to drop. It feels like a discount Monte Carlo. Really strong for melee builds. Pair it with Peregrine Greaves for Titan, and it's pretty formidable.
I’m so glad they have good perks, kings fall D1 weapons were so meh, now I want literally every gun, even the LMG
I got one for the first time recently and got a damn good PvE & PVP roll. Ensemble & Vorpal.
First red border I got was hammer forged, flared magwell, Demo & AJ. Reload masterwork, but it’s just so smooth I can’t put it down
Got one with one for all stats for all and it’s definitely my new main pulse

(Edit - ignore me, I was wrong about the below) I used to blow off One For All as a perk until someone pointed out it can also proc between just 2 enemies. Enemy 1, enemy 2, enemy 1. It helps me get it going much more casually. :)

@@julianlak1017 BLUF - you're correct. I kept seeing people say this doesn't work yet I've watched the text pop up for both One For All and Stats For All after switching between 2 targets. Not trying to steer people wrong I did it again last night a bunch with a SFA/OFA Krait and what pops up is OFA and SFA x1/x2. I think that's just telling me I hit 1 or 2 targets, of the 3. So my bad. Chock it up to my inexperience with the perk to realize when it was actually fully grooving. Thanks for steering me right and making me double check homie. :D

I’ve really enjoyed my time so far with my moving target + swashbuckler roll in PvP. It has enough range to make maps like Vostok feel manageable, and ones like Jav4 feel great. I typically don’t like 390s at all (both Last Perdition and Yesteryear are Suros pulses, which I’m not a fan of), but the Smite has treated me really well so far. Pair it with my FILO with OS and I’m set.
The fact that both demo-adren and pug-swash roll makes it top tier.

The one I kept was focused fury and vorpal. I hope I am able to craft sooner rather than later. I also want a Harrowed version, haven't gotten one yet.

I would’ve 100% targeted this first to be able to craft it but my first roll was 4/5 of what I would’ve crafted anyway, with the only sub optimal thing being the mag perk column, so I’m in no hurry to craft this atm. Rn I’m going for the scout with dragon/firefly cuz that just seems super fun because I love both of those perks, even if there may be more practical options.
As someone who cannot and will not let Bygones be Bygones, I'll main the hell out of this in PVP.

I got SUPER lucky the first week and got 3 red boxes from the first 2 runs, my friend got almost all armor. Bungie really choosing favorites this season haha

There's actually FOUR primary weapons with the Demo + Adrenaline Junkie combo: Judgement, The Last Breath auto rifle, Smite of Merain, AND Unforgiven, the Void SMG from the Duality dungeon; which is EXCELLENT for Volatile Round builds, might I say.

1st roll AJ and Demo with tact mag and hammer forged 2nd roll was demo and vorpal with chamber compensator and acurized round
another fun fact is that smite and doom of chelchis are the only non bullpup or sideloader weapons of their weapon category
What makes this pulse unique is its not a bullpup, well i think this one of the few non bullpup

Its overrated. I have one with desperado and desperado is not the perk to go for on it, although it does help, there are better perks, and there are far better weapons.

The bxr is also a primary with demo and adrenaline junkie. Not sure if it can still roll it in the new season as the pool changed. I'll check it out on Merain, but I think firefly is a must for me because it's just so fun. (First one dropped with stats and one for all so I'm pretty pumped)
I have one with Pulgist and Swashbuckler. It’s great!
Focus fury firefly has been my work horse, deals with adds focused let's me deal with majors and that means my special and heavy can be for boss dps

I have several rolls the one that feels best has arrowhead with moving target vorpal weapon. It’s nothing insane but it’s sexy looking and decent perks and feels good
For the start of the PvP part of the video, I believe that the gun would perform better were it not for the flinch changes. Everyone's built into flinch resist, and the only things that still deal any kind of flinch at all because of it are Explosive Payload and 140 RPM hand cannons, mostly the hand cannons though. They still throw your reticle to the ceiling regardless of flinch resist, and because of flinch resist everyone's allowed to have perfect aim for nearly free under any conditions. Correcting aim and being precise is much less important after the changes, and 390 RPM pulses suffered because of it.
This Archetype, along with 120 handcannons and 260 scouts suffered tremendously with the change. Even with Surplus/Explosive Payload, 1 miss is a near guarenteed loss
I haven’t ran into many issue in PvP with this, I’m think I’m a 1.8 player and this thing melts.. yea it can get out gunned easily but play smart and think about your engagements and you’ll will love this thing.
I got a arrowhead, Accurize rounds, moving target with eye of the storm to drop and it’s not bad. Definitely can’t miss my shots but overall a solid B tier in my opinion
This pulse hasn't dropped for me in 6 completions. Its one that I really want

12 full runs I've done warpriest, and sisters challenge. Haven't seen a single smite of merian. RNG is a cruel mistress. Like to try it out, regardless of how middle of the road it is. I've loved the look of this gun since D1. I really miss that DSC chest where you could buy encounter focused loot.

10:06 - *KINETIC not primary. There are several energy primaries with that combo.
As someone going for a hunter knife build, I personally believe puglist swash is the god roll.

I got the focused fury/firefly roll, that one is quite nice but I think if I eventually craft it (I want the scout and the HC first to be honest) I'll go for firefly+demolitionist.

It feels really sticky but i wish it had a bit more range. The range stat is good but 2 more range would be insane. I have a last perdition that can stretch out to nearly 50 meters and It feels much better on some of the longer maps in the pool right now. It really feels incredible on close in maps though. I have a moving target/eye of the storm roll that shoots so smooth

That’s probably due to the zoom. The smite only has 17 and Last perdition, depending on scope probably has 20+ unless it has slo-21 post, which also has 17.

Should be noted legacy rolls of bxr can have demo/adrenaline. Can't be obtained now but I still have a ton of old ones, one with this specific roll

It's funny because third axiom (the vanguard playlist) has +6 range +5 stability+6 AA +1 zoom +4 recoil. It's only looses in -11AE. If you using Smite, you play without extra small bore and targeting adjuster mod.
I've got an Axiom with Killing Wind and Rampage and it just feels so good to use.

Demo Adrenaline junky can also roll on the previous raid pulse and the Dares pulse. Atleast it could roll on the dares pulse, idk if they removed perks with the perk refresh
Gonna go with a demo firefly harrowed personally. Was super excited when I saw moving target eye of the storm but I found it’s performance just so lacklustre
Already crafted my god roll enhanced demo and enchanted firefly with hammer forged accurized with range mw
This gun is immensely being held back by it’s archetype, begging for some love. Even with the sweetest perk combinations it gets outgunned in pvp which is a shame

IMO adaptive frame pulses sacrifice base lethality for ease of use similar to precision hand cannons. They're good but not the best. That being said I think PvP wise this thing just gets out paced by Syncopation because of the origin trait and how easily its crafted.
I see this being said about adaptives and I have to disagree, in duels where you don’t hit every shot or they heal/overshield adaptive reign supreme.
@@ShadowNemesis575 Agreed. I have a really good Third Axiom that just FEELS really good to use. Not the best weapon, but definitely viable. It might not be meta against the highest end players who don't miss, but most players aren't like that.

So far the ogma with demo wellspring has become my workhorse pve pulse, tbh its just too good of a perk combo to replace, itll stay my most used primary in pve till i get an even better weapon w the same role
Ogma is crazy. Demo/wellspring, sfa/ofa, adaptive munitions/disruption break, it's a pve workhorse in lots of rolls. It's one I basically vault every roll of since it's hard to even roll a bad one.
I think in actually going to craft focused fury/firefly for general PvE play. Damage+AoE+Reload
Love how they brought this weapon into D2. So underwhelming in D1, used it for its looks and sound, now can use it for its perks! Would've loved kill clip on this, but we can't have everything 🤣😂
I do like to watch reviews on raid weapons, even if they are out of my reach.

@@stickboy8219 I have tried raids before. 3 times, with only one of them being a clear.
It's mainly down to time, as I barely have time for doing more than weeklies and seasonal stuff, and my anxiety getting in the way when doing voicechat. (and you can't do a raid without coordinating via VC, right?)
My first raid was back in the day Leviathan, where the team gave up after getting stuck on Gauntlet.
I didn't bother with raids until Beyond Light where I got my fist clear with DSC, a 6 hour ordeal where my anxiety had a filed day. I was really happy when I could take my loot and go home.
The last time was just a few weeks back (in July) when I tried VoG. After getting stuck on Oracles, our teamleaders just decided to quit. And I called it quits there too.
@@inquisitorichijou883 you could join with no mic we had two today in kingsfall no mics and finished from start to end I also get anxiety but I'm getting better with it now. I find I get more anxious thinking about joining a group than actually joining coz once I'm in there and feel comfortable I'm fine

The BXR used to roll with Junkie and demo but with the perk refresh it can’t. I managed to get a roll just before the season started so I’m gonna be aiming for that roll when I can.
Literally the best combo. I'm pretty sure I have this combo on every weapon that can possibly roll it.

If you use a melee build it's good. Titan hammer build should be good with that roll. Or maybe throwing knives
Steady Rounds drops the range by about half a meter, from 34.16m, to 33.56m - I don't see why I'd care about that in PvE.
My preferred is between Tac Mag and Flared anyway to get a wee bit of stability and synergy with the origin trait, but I don't see half a meter being of any relevance.
Idk something just feels right with this pulse. Been slaying on quickly play with it even tho matches are sweaty as hell

You said it's craftable but there's one caveat. It needs to DROP IN THE FIRST PLACE
When I look at weapon rolls I look at two things pvp, and GM level activities so for this weapon all I see is Focus fury, Vorpal weapon being the only useful combo.
Only two preaks I look for in a GM weapon vorpal, and Frenzy
CG, Brigand's law, Threat Detector and, the most important perk, Voltshot. I am telling you, take a look.
Pugilist/Swashbuckler with a solar Hunter running Athrys Embrace?? Sounds amazing to me me.
maan there's so many good rolls on this and I WIISH they would make you add more perks to the crafted like 2 per slot for more otherwise I will end up with like 2 weapons for each that I love lol
