In Jesus name Amen. Got the same message here. Endure, trust and wait in faith. Thanks for telling me where the “waking up to pray” scripture was. Psm 119 has been a psalm I usually zip through because it’s so long… but, I’m now spending my time in it once a day to properly read it. God bless each of you in your waiting on the Lord today!!!!

You are right. It's very hard for me to be patient in every situation, but the Lord has been helping me to develop this in my life... definitely not easy, but with his help I am learning. I think it IS a matter of complete trust in Him and His will and His plan for my life, which I didn't used to understand, but am getting more understanding as He teaches me along the way. At those times that I am feeling impatient, I must remember to put HIS will ahead of MY will. As our former pastor used to say, "Less of me and more of HIM [Jesus] ." Last night I was listening to a christian podcast, not sure what affiliation it was from, but it was uplifting and didn't request funding from listeners. Anyway, at one point the orator suggested that the listeners write in large print and place where it can be read daily, this helpful reminder, "I WILL NOT FEAR! I WILL NOT GIVE UP! MY GOD IS WITH ME! NOTHING CANNOT DEFEAT ME!" I was reminded of Psalm 24.
Thank you for another great devotional. I tuned in late today because I had some chores to do and cut out some jelly rolls from some fabric I gave a neighbor who I had been teaching how to piece quilts. Inserting some Bible discussion whenever the opportunity presents. Anyway, I am glad you and your wife are having scriptural conversations. I wish my, now x and I had been able to talk together like that, but sadly, it didn't happen. Oh, well. I can't live in the past, That's what the Israelite did after their exodus from their captivity in Egypt. Not a good thing to do. I hope your father is resting comfortably, and that the Lord will give you all the strength you need to endure this transition of his life. God bless.

Complete trust means letting go of our perceived control and letting Him run the show.

@@lonecrusaider If there's one think that I have learned in my life, it is that every time I try to control the situation, I mess it all up. God's plan is far greater than mine could ever be. But sometimes, like Jacob wrestling the Angel of the Lord, it's hard to let go. It's hard to admit when I am wrong, but thankfully, the Lord allows me to go ahead and learn that lesson, which humbles me to my knees in prayer. " ... not my will, but your will be done..."

It's ok to wrestle with God but in the end He gets His way and thats as it should be. If it wasn't the whole world would be in a TON of trouble.

@@lonecrusaider Yes sir. God is the final... rather, God is the ONLY authority.
