I think the cost of living in London will shock them if they get jobs they will probably spend all of their wages on rent and not be able to save anything. They would probably be better off in Hungary if they can find work there.

I'm British and I spent several months living in Budapest, several years ago. It was a great experience, I was made to feel very welcome and I met a lot of great people. So my message to these Hungarians: "you're very welcome here in London; look me up when you get here - we can raise a glass of pálinka together to celebrate!"

Brexit won't stop us getting immigrants but it may lead us to get different immigrants. Thomas Sowell once argued that immigrants aren't the same as those that choose to live in their home country, they're more driven and they tend to achieve more than the average native person of the county they're moving to. If it's harder to get into the country it may mean we're just getting the professionals we need.

Foreign people of ALL races and cultures are welcome so long as they ADD to the richness of British culture, rather than detracting from it. However, there are some values about being decent towards each other, working for a living, not imposing your religious beliefs, and treating women and children with respect, that are a fundamental part of British working class culture. If you don't share those values, adopt them as soon as you arrive, or don't bother coming. Black, white, brown, oriental, or any other ethnicity - all are welcome and will be treated with kindness and compassion by the vast majority of Britons. Every nation has its xenophobes and racists, but they are just a very vocal, but tiny minority.

They also get benefits, same as British people, and they can use that money to pay cheap mortgages on a very nice house back home. I am a white European American and I have a different idea about what makes life good, I have had a big house and a big car, and money in the bank, but in America I am forced to live with people of different races that are not compatible , all white neighborhoods are illegal, in fact if the government thinks a neighborhood is too white they will buy houses for non-whites and move them in. and our kids have to go to school with them and some end up getting married, so our grandchildren are non white, and our family tree is non white forever , and this spoils everything we worked for all of our lives, our lives have been wasted. If I had a small house with indoor plumbing etc. a small car, and enough money to pay my bills ,in an all white neighborhood, in an all white country, with all white grandchildren and great grandchildren, that would be perfect.
Shocking comment... Just so you know, a new competitive part of getting a job in the UK has come round in that those who can speak English and a related foreign language stand more chance of getting a job because they can work as a translator on top of the job they are recruiting for. EU Migration has changed the way we live in the UK without doubt and employment has become very competitive so much so speaking a foreign language such as Polish, Slovakian etc is a huge benefit, especially when a firm employs allot of non English speaking staff. Most of all they can pay them cheap and undercut British workers but bare in mind that all this has brought out the reality that prices are too high and wages are too low. Either wages need increasing(highly unlikely) or price of housing and food NEED to drop, it is as simple as that so any foreigners coming to work makes little real difference. Employers will still be screwing their workers up the ass regardless and the government will still be forcing house prices high. One way or another we are screwed, it makes no difference what you do or how you do it or even what language you speak, you and the whole global population are screwed. Just try and live your life, try have kids and try your best because you will be dead sooner than you think, don't concern yourself with language, it is a miniscule problem. What you can do is fight for the NHS and keep it free, fight for your freedom and information because they are trying to take that away from you. Foreigners have not lived in the UK long enough to know what is being done to them so they can be easily manipulated.

It's true though! I lived in the UK all my life til 3 years ago and the difference in work ethic between the British and those in the rest of Europe is stark! There is a far higher proportion of lazy and feckless wasters in the UK compared to Poland or Bulgaria or most other EU countries.
Have a bit of national pride in what? A government that not only allows, but encourages housing to become so expensive, it drives large swathes of the population in to poverty? Successive governments who deliberately starve the NHS of funding to the point where now it is near the point of total collapse? The young secretary is ripe for exploitation. If she has any sense she should stay at home with family and friends. Highly skilled people can make a fast buck but to the vast majority it will be a hard grind. Ireland is a better option, with a far better quality of life and much safer too.
At 2.50 if she is talking about London I used to live in Pimlico in the 1990s and I checked up a couple of weeks ago - a bedsit there will cost you £400 a WEEK minimum and Council Tax Band E is £460 a month. Good luck to anyone who wants to move there because they will need it.

If I were on the dole I wouldn't risk taking a zero hour min wage job, not through idleness, but because it could leave me destitute if I didn't get the hours. I’m Swedish / British living in Spain. Most Brits have zero chance of living in Europe. The labour markets reject them, especially if low-skilled. Sweden, for example, nobody would hire native British people, if they applied for low skilled work, even if they spoke Swedish. It’s the same in Spain, and everywhere else. Yet, you visit London and you see most jobs are given to migrants, lol. It’s really so unfair for British native people, especially those with low skills. Some deluded young people, or better educated, think they can compete outside the UK, but they almost always fail. I’ve seen native Brits move to Sweden and France, and they have zero chance of finding work, even if they have degrees. They can’t even find work at Telepizza. Yet pizza hit in the Uk is full of poles, etc.
The only one in that video will succeeded and thats the guy wanting to be a doctor. He speaks good english, will take a low paid NHS job, has a friend already living in UK. The girl who doesnt speak english, she has no chance - she will not get a job, the rent will be too high for her to live and eat. The Brits love people who want to come to our country, work hard, be respectful, integrate and make friends. Learning English ia absolutely essential. The British people do not respect people who cannot communicate with any English at all. Our lives in England are very stressful because we work so hard. We have no time for people who want to come here and live off of benefits and contribute nothing. I think this is reasonable.

These genuine people was what the EU freedom of movement was intended for. Unfortunately that ruling has been abused by non-Europeans using that route. In this instance, people moving from Hungary with it's rich cultural heritage and traditions follow similar ways of life and thought to Britons. They will no doubt add to Britain. Countries need a strong sense of identity and maintaining traditions is important in my opinion. Sometimes too welcoming as a people, it's preferable for Europeans to transfer their similar culture here to assimilate and keep British society moving in a way that respects it's roots. That's why I'm happy to welcome anybody with a story like these three. For education and work, Britain is a free, open nation with opportunity.
+Aled Long There's a reason people want to migrate here. Britain has great universities and apprenticeship training in paths like the NHS. I believe we have competitive recruiting in Indonesia and elsewhere for a few number of roles each year. Highly qualified dentists for example can move here and potentially earn double the wages. It's attractive to specialised professionals. It's opening a can of worms and there are drawbacks. But comparatively to elsewhere in Europe it's certainly not a bad place to migrate for work or learn.

Judging from this video, Hungary looks a wealthy country, and I don`t understand why such young and talented Hungarians wish to move to Britain. They are neither Afghans nor South Sudanese, but they are Europeans. This drain of young people is really detrimental to Hungary`s future, and I wonder why the Hungarian government doesn`t take any preventative measures against the outflow of young people.
As a Hungarian: A wealthy country? No. But living standards are not that far behind of that of Western European countries, especially in Budapest. Hungary is a Central European country, which means it lies between the East and West, and that shows in all aspects of everyday life. One can certainly make a decent life for themselves here. Although I understand the 20 year old guy wanting to become a doctor in the UK (being one in Hungary is not a lucrative option at all), the other two should definitely not aim to settle there in my opinion. You are right about this being a detriment to our economy, and the gorvernment HAS taken some measures to make people want to stay here, but of course it will not stop everyone.

As a European (foremost, secondly Dutch) I deplore the Brexit. On the other hand, there were so many lies coming out of Fleet Street that it is no wonder that the UK population thought that Brussels was a megalomanic Bilderberg conspiracy over which they had no control. All this is not true, but it is not about facts but beliefs. In such a climate, it is better to say goodbye and wait until the older generation has died (as the younger generation overwhelmingly voted against Brexit). So all in all, I deplore it, but I can understand considering the circumstances. I do think, however, that Scotland will go for independence now and I also believe that in 20 years time the British will have a wealth comparable to something between France and Spain. Not bad, but not as good as now. Furthermore, I do not think that Britain will still have a permanent seat in the Security Council of the UN (but who cares). So, it will not be all that bad. I am looking forward to a friendly and profitable relation with the UK (as a Dutchman) after Brexit.

Sturgeon is talking about another referendum for Scottish independence but she has no chance really, only Westminster can authorise it and they probably won't and Scotland is not in the EU, the UK is in the EU and the UK voted to leave, that is the situation no matter what she says. We Brits do not worry about people who want to come here to work legally and in the proper manner. If they come with qualifications, an open and pleasant manner willing to embrace our country, our language and our ways and not with an aim of instant benefits regarding housing and unemployment. My Mum came over as a migrant after she married my father who was a serviceman in Europe. As a German woman she was willing to undertake any job and willingly became a British Citizen after a period of time as she felt she Britain was her home. After WW2 in Britain she faced some hate from people who had relatives killed by Nazis but she was just a girl in the war and found more Brits were tolerant of her and her aims to make a life here. Welcome all legal people and people willing to work and not be dependent from day one.
If you can't speak the language you need to learn it before you go. I would worry about the sort of situation you could end up in. It's not a safe place if you don't understand what the rules are.

Very much divided over this video. The first lady, the Journalist, has a beautiful flat and lives in a beautiful city and seems to have a really good quality of life. I don't understand why she even wants to live in the UK when she admits herself that her standard of living will decline? The second lad, with ambitions to work in the NHS, study medicine in the UK and hopefully become a doctor, I can fully understand why he wants to work in the largest healthcare provider in Europe and I can't see why anyone would not wish him well and consider him a potential asset to the UK. The third lass, I'm sorry to say, does not seem particularly usefult to the UK. Her ambition to work in a nail bar and maybe become a beauty therapist is not really the kind of high skilled individual the UK is looking to attract. All she will do, if she finds employment in the UK, is probably prevent a low-skilled UK citizen from being hired because she is willing to work for slightly less, stick it out for a few years, then go back to Hungary where the money she has saved is worth much more and will probably enable her to set up a similar business back there. I can't blame her for wanting to do so, but that's not the point.

As for worrying about low-skilled Britons, I hear what you're saying, but I think a lot of the whole "Brits don't want to do those kinds of jobs" argument is misleading. I know lots of working class folks (I used to be one, but was lucky enough to get a good education and go to university). I've never once heard any of my friends or family say a job isn't good enough for them, and several of my cousins are trying to get construction jobs or apprenticeships but not having any luck. What they tell me is that there are so many recruitment firms now in the UK that specifically only represent Eastern Europeans, when companies looking to hire staff approach them for candidates, those are the only ones being put forward. The companies know this is happening, but they don't care, because they are being supplied with workers. Meanwhile, Brits trying to compete for the same jobs are being overlooked, often because those jobs are no longer even advertised in the UK, but advertised abroad by recruiters, so British workers often are not even aware the job openings exist.

The reason why there is low pay jobs is because companies would rather pay foriegners less than pay the British a living wage. Those particular jobs in question were traditionally done by young British people as a first job..

I'm British and I spent several months living in Budapest, several years ago. It was a great experience, I was made to feel very welcome and I met a lot of great people. So my message to these Hungarians: "you're very welcome here in London; look me up when you get here - we can raise a glass of pálinka together to celebrate!"

Brexit won't stop us getting immigrants but it may lead us to get different immigrants. Thomas Sowell once argued that immigrants aren't the same as those that choose to live in their home country, they're more driven and they tend to achieve more than the average native person of the county they're moving to. If it's harder to get into the country it may mean we're just getting the professionals we need.

From someone who lived in Hungary outside Budapest, let me tell you, I have never been subject to so much racism.

I am a white European American and I have a different idea about what makes life good, I have had a big house and a big car, and money in the bank, but in America I am forced to live with people of different races that are not compatible , all white neighborhoods are illegal, in fact if the government thinks a neighborhood is too white they will buy houses for non-whites and move them in. and our kids have to go to school with them and some end up getting married, so our grandchildren are non white, and our family tree is non white forever , and this spoils everything we worked for all of our lives, our lives have been wasted.
If I had a small house with indoor plumbing etc. a small car, and enough money to pay my bills ,in an all white neighborhood, in an all white country, with all white grandchildren and great grandchildren, that would be perfect.

Just so you know, a new competitive part of getting a job in the UK has come round in that those who can speak English and a related foreign language stand more chance of getting a job because they can work as a translator on top of the job they are recruiting for.
EU Migration has changed the way we live in the UK without doubt and employment has become very competitive so much so speaking a foreign language such as Polish, Slovakian etc is a huge benefit, especially when a firm employs allot of non English speaking staff.
Most of all they can pay them cheap and undercut British workers but bare in mind that all this has brought out the reality that prices are too high and wages are too low.
Either wages need increasing(highly unlikely) or price of housing and food NEED to drop, it is as simple as that so any foreigners coming to work makes little real difference. Employers will still be screwing their workers up the ass regardless and the government will still be forcing house prices high. One way or another we are screwed, it makes no difference what you do or how you do it or even what language you speak, you and the whole global population are screwed.
Just try and live your life, try have kids and try your best because you will be dead sooner than you think, don't concern yourself with language, it is a miniscule problem.
What you can do is fight for the NHS and keep it free, fight for your freedom and information because they are trying to take that away from you. Foreigners have not lived in the UK long enough to know what is being done to them so they can be easily manipulated.

British bosses are exploiting cheap foreign workers when they should employ and pay a British person a living wage. A proper living wage, not the Tory bollocks they called living wage. If I were on the dole I wouldn't risk taking a zero hour min wage job, not through idleness, but because it could leave me destitute if I didn't get the hours. I wouldn't frown upon any jobseeker in that situation making that decision.

I’m Swedish / British living in Spain. Most Brits have zero chance of living in Europe. The labour markets reject them, especially if low-skilled. Sweden, for example, nobody would hire native British people, if they applied for low skilled work, even if they spoke Swedish.
It’s the same in Spain, and everywhere else. Yet, you visit London and you see most jobs are given to migrants, lol. It’s really so unfair for British native people, especially those with low skills.
Some deluded young people, or better educated, think they can compete outside the UK, but they almost always fail. I’ve seen native Brits move to Sweden and France, and they have zero chance of finding work, even if they have degrees.

These genuine people was what the EU freedom of movement was intended for. Unfortunately that ruling has been abused by non-Europeans using that route. In this instance, people moving from Hungary with it's rich cultural heritage and traditions follow similar ways of life and thought to Britons. They will no doubt add to Britain.
Countries need a strong sense of identity and maintaining traditions is important in my opinion. Sometimes too welcoming as a people, it's preferable for Europeans to transfer their similar culture here to assimilate and keep British society moving in a way that respects it's roots. That's why I'm happy to welcome anybody with a story like these three.
For education and work, Britain is a free, open nation with opportunity.
+Aled Long There's a reason people want to migrate here. Britain has great universities and apprenticeship training in paths like the NHS. I believe we have competitive recruiting in Indonesia and elsewhere for a few number of roles each year. Highly qualified dentists for example can move here and potentially earn double the wages. It's attractive to specialised professionals.
It's opening a can of worms and there are drawbacks. But comparatively to elsewhere in Europe it's certainly not a bad place to migrate for work or learn.

Judging from this video, Hungary looks a wealthy country, and I don`t understand why such young and talented Hungarians wish to move to Britain. They are neither Afghans nor South Sudanese, but they are Europeans. This drain of young people is really detrimental to Hungary`s future, and I wonder why the Hungarian government doesn`t take any preventative measures against the outflow of young people.
As a Hungarian: A wealthy country? No. But living standards are not that far behind of that of Western European countries, especially in Budapest. Hungary is a Central European country, which means it lies between the East and West, and that shows in all aspects of everyday life. One can certainly make a decent life for themselves here. Although I understand the 20 year old guy wanting to become a doctor in the UK (being one in Hungary is not a lucrative option at all), the other two should definitely not aim to settle there in my opinion.

Apologies to all decent Europeans for the comment but its a fact your moving here to take advantage of our economy paid for by UK people. The lady is correct though some of UK people don't want to work as they get money for free and Europeans do plug that hole but not at the expense of businesses treating Europeans like slaves and UK people like second rate citizens - MPs need to get there acts together to tackle these problems. Good luck to Europe and happy for people here already to stay here but I'm happy for Brexit. As a European (foremost, secondly Dutch) I deplore the Brexit. On the other hand, there were so many lies coming out of Fleet Street that it is no wonder that the UK population thought that Brussels was a megalomanic Bilderberg conspiracy over which they had no control. All this is not true, but it is not about facts but beliefs. In such a climate, it is better to say goodbye and wait until the older generation has died (as the younger generation overwhelmingly voted against Brexit). So all in all, I deplore it, but I can understand considering the circumstances. I do think, however, that Scotland will go for independence now and I also believe that in 20 years time the British will have a wealth comparable to something between France and Spain. Not bad, but not as good as now. Furthermore, I do not think that Britain will still have a permanent seat in the Security Council of the UN (but who cares). So, it will not be all that bad. I am looking forward to a friendly and profitable relation with the UK (as a Dutchman) after Brexit.
I think it is madness for the UK to leave the EU it wont change immigration and the standard of living will drop in the UK. The people have been really lied to by Boris and Farage. I can see Scotland leaving the UK and joining the EU.

I think Scotland would vote to leave the UK if given a referendum today but I think the government probably will try to stop it.
Ronald the Press in Britain was overwhelmingly for remain only a couple of newspapers were for Brexit, in fact the whole machinery was against Brexit, the BBC, ITV and Sky news, every political party except UKIP, most of the press, but the people had had enough.
You say let the old people die and things will change...(very nice of you) but you fail to grasp that people become wiser as they get older so as they age the middle aged opinions will evolve too, also the younger people had never known anything else except being in the EU, and change for something you have never experienced is scary. Once the people see how the UK will prosper outside the EU I doubt very much if anybody would want to shackle themselves to the corrupt bureaucrats in Brussels in twenty years time especially as by then the Euro will have collapsed and many other countries may have left including your own.
Sturgeon is talking about another referendum for Scottish independence but she has no chance really, only Westminster can authorise it and they probably won't and Scotland is not in the EU, the UK is in the EU and the UK voted to leave, that is the situation no matter what she says. There are so many unlikely events that would have to occur for that to happen...However anything is possible of course but it is extremely unlikely.
Britain's economy will prosper outside the EU, the EU has been holding us back with its protectionism, now we can trade with the whole world with no restrictions imposed by Brussels.
And our relations will be good with all the nations of Europe especially the Dutch who probably think more like the British than any other European nation.
Things will settle down common sense will kick in once the emotional reactions have subsided and life will go on.

News flash:
The UK electorate never votes for a Prime Minister. They vote for a party. That means that the Prime minister can change and carry on until the end of the five year term. It's as simple as that. Same thing happened with Labour and Gordon Brown after Tony Blair resigned. Why is anyone surprised by this? It's not like it's a new concept.
***** Correct as you may be, people vote based on the promises given by the party leaders, people choose between candidates and a lot of people vote based on their personalities. Of course, it would be ideal if people did vote on an overall party but let's face it, barely anyone in this country actually knows the name of their local mp, it's all a theater of personalities and promises made by the leaders.
Britain's history is one of continuous immigration and that must continue. We want the world to come to us!

We Brits do not worry about people who want to come here to work legally and in the proper manner. If they come with qualifications, an open and pleasant manner willing to embrace our country, our language and our ways and not with an aim of instant benefits regarding housing and unemployment. My Mum came over as a migrant after she married my father who was a serviceman in Europe. As a German woman she was willing to undertake any job and willingly became a British Citizen after a period of time as she felt she Britain was her home. After WW2 in Britain she faced some hate from people who had relatives killed by Nazis but she was just a girl in the war and found more Brits were tolerant of her and her aims to make a life here. Welcome all legal people and people willing to work and not be dependent from day one.
If you can't speak the language you need to learn it before you go. I would worry about the sort of situation you could end up in. It's not a safe place if you don't understand what the rules are.
Brexit was basically the british people saying to their politicians that they don t want anymore immigrants. so don t expect a welcome committee if you come.

Very much divided over this video. The first lady, the Journalist, has a beautiful flat and lives in a beautiful city and seems to have a really good quality of life. I don't understand why she even wants to live in the UK when she admits herself that her standard of living will decline?
The second lad, with ambitions to work in the NHS, study medicine in the UK and hopefully become a doctor, I can fully understand why he wants to work in the largest healthcare provider in Europe and I can't see why anyone would not wish him well and consider him a potential asset to the UK.
The third lass, I'm sorry to say, does not seem particularly usefult to the UK. Her ambition to work in a nail bar and maybe become a beauty therapist is not really the kind of high skilled individual the UK is looking to attract. All she will do, if she finds employment in the UK, is probably prevent a low-skilled UK citizen from being hired because she is willing to work for slightly less, stick it out for a few years, then go back to Hungary where the money she has saved is worth much more and will probably enable her to set up a similar business back there. I can't blame her for wanting to do so, but that's not the point.
Third woman is probably really just looking for a husband to provide for her a better life than what she had.

As for worrying about low-skilled Britons, I hear what you're saying, but I think a lot of the whole "Brits don't want to do those kinds of jobs" argument is misleading. I know lots of working class folks (I used to be one, but was lucky enough to get a good education and go to university). I've never once heard any of my friends or family say a job isn't good enough for them, and several of my cousins are trying to get construction jobs or apprenticeships but not having any luck.
What they tell me is that there are so many recruitment firms now in the UK that specifically only represent Eastern Europeans, when companies looking to hire staff approach them for candidates, those are the only ones being put forward. The companies know this is happening, but they don't care, because they are being supplied with workers. Meanwhile, Brits trying to compete for the same jobs are being overlooked, often because those jobs are no longer even advertised in the UK, but advertised abroad by recruiters, so British workers often are not even aware the job openings exist.

The reason why there is low pay jobs is because companies would rather pay foriegners less than pay the British a living wage. Those particular jobs in question were traditionally done by young British people as a first job..
