Catalyst is pyrophoric (catches fire once comes to atmosphere) so the catalyst is removed in Inert atmosphere. Its a specialized subject. Refer API STD 2217A - Guidelines for Safe Work in Inert Confined Spaces in the Petroleum and Petrochemical Industries, for better understanding
