Good job on the repairs...the rig really sounds good and smooth, got good breath and punch. And hats off to your fine playing sir! These are definitely rewarding beasts to work on. It's an important musical legacy to preserve.
Wow wow wow. Very impressive! Strangely this took me bk to my childhood when I used to watch kids TV and they would take you on a trip somewhere educational like inside a factory and you could see the ins and outs of how certain things were made, and I was so engrossed in the whole process, so thanks for taking me back and making me feel child like again. You are clearly a very very anointed and gifted man of God, may His gifts continue to bless others and yourself forever more 🙏Amen
Just found your video as a younger organist, what an awesome experience to repair such an important instrument! Thank you for what you do preserving these instruments and excellent playing as well!
Hey fantastic Alden/Bishop incredible musician and excellent reliable Hammond engineer, first class (diamond geezer). Always does an amazing job on our RT3 we just need to reconnect our PR40 to our 122 and we’ll be in the overflow 🔥🔥🔥
Looking forward to more content from you. Love the vintage hammonds and its great people like you are around to still repair and maintain them. 🙂 Nice to play that iconic organ thats featured on loads of recordings over the years. I was stupid enough about 15 years ago to let one slip through my hands at an auction for the measly sum of £400 in light oak and with a Hammond Cabinet. Still haunts me to this day.
What a privilege to work on such a historical instrument. I recently picked up a D-152 and 122 and absolutely love them... inspired of course by Abbey Road's RT3 / 122 combo. Great work on the Hey Jude rendition, too!
I'm also imagining whether this is the Leslie they piped Lennon's Tomorrow Never Knows vocal through... or a bottle of wine resonating and rattling away on at the end of Long Long Long on the White album...
Man!!! When you get a call to work on such iconic instrument, it’s worth pulling out all the stops ( even though the wife wasn’t happy with the budget lol )
… It was an extensive job in changing a lot of the components and carrying out repairs. If you listen to my rendition of “Hey Jude” towards the end ( with headphones) you’ll hear the bass pedals in full effect
Now this is great. Finally a Hammond tech with his own channel.
About time
Great channel. I will following you. A great trade to be in! Great Hammonds and Leslie’s -invented in the late 40’s.
Wait, what, why am I only finding this now? This is amazing!!!

Thanks Pastor Steve,
And a big thank you for loaning me your RT3 pedals to record at Abbey rd studios because the original pedals went missing?
Love it! You're a natural and so gifted ✨️
Thanks Shezzie
Nicely done thanks. I have had many Hammonds.

…. Oh dear!!! I feel your pain with regards to the missed opportunity to purchase a cheap one 😱
I just had the pleasure of recording with this organ only a month ago. Such a surreal experience.
Glad you were able to experience the refurbished sound!!!
Awesome video Bishop!!!
Thanks Raffs… I still need some jazz lessons from you lol

Awww thanks Darren for the comment regarding “Hey Jude”. Yes it was an honour to get the contract.
You have a lovely accent. Superb :)
Great stuff
Great restoration , well done! That RT3 Hammond was used by Rick Wright on the Dark Side Of The Moon as well.
Thanks and yes it was used on so many other projects
Superb. And the reharmz on Hey Jude?! 🔥
Thanks king!!!

This was excellent bro! As soon as I get an organ you’re coming from overseas. Frfr!
Thanks Pastor Dan… 👊🏾👊🏾
@@bishopbrad2918 Love ya man!
Bro. Did you have a Hollywood budget for this? How is this shot so well? 😂 This is great!
Man!!! When you get a call to work on such iconic instrument, it’s worth pulling out all the stops ( even though the wife wasn’t happy with the budget lol )
@@bishopbrad2918just came across this what a joy to see a musical craftsman at work
I believe this one was used on Dark Side of The Moon too. Possibly Ambrosia???
Amazing work on an amazing organ by an amazing guy... Well done and the quality is top draw. You can't afford to die mate 😂
Thanks kindly… There are only a few of us techs in the UK still keeping the dream alive
I was hoping you would play blue jay way at the end since it is primarily played on the organ.
… Great choice of song, I’ll bare that in mind for when I do episode 2.
What did the problem turn out to be for the RT3?
Sounds great, what all did you need to do to wake it up? I'm not hearing any usage of the pedal solo system, is it functional?
… It was an extensive job in changing a lot of the components and carrying out repairs. If you listen to my rendition of “Hey Jude” towards the end ( with headphones) you’ll hear the bass pedals in full effect
..Thanks and I guess the bass pedals are probably low in the audio mix but neither the less sound great!!
❤orgel
This seems more like a self-promotion video for yourself vs a repair of an iconic instrument.
1:12 Crack kills.
