Excellent review. The statement you made about being too technical is not a problem. I prefer that you get technical on the description because it answers questions that I usually have after some other videos I have watched. This charger appears to answer all the requirements of batteries that you need to charge. Thanks for your review. 👍👍😃
I bought this charger after watching your video and I am satisfied. I really like the speed of the menu compared to my old Hota F6 charger and the fact that it does not need an external power supply like the Hota D6 Pro. The advantage is the relatively quiet fan, and the disadvantage is the relatively low charging power. When charging 4x 6S 2000Mah batteries, you can feel that this is the maximum capacity of this charger (from the AC socket). Overall, I really like it.
@@celaleddinozer144Both are great. I chose q200 because I am charged to fly twice as fast (4ch vs 2ch in HotaD6). The Q200 has Bluetooth and a nice option to mark batteries with a QR code, but the application does not provide the full potential of this functionality. Such as collecting battery health statistics.
Wow, very nice! I have old SKYRC Q200 and it's amazing charger so I probably won't upgrade it to NEO but I love the Neo's form factor - it's super small! Definitely one of the best chargers for new people coming to the hobby.
Well done Captain!; a very sophisticated charger !!!; I thought it was Xmas when I purchased the Smart Powercharge 100 for my DJI Inspire battery's !!! (which I still use !!!)
Sorry, I have passed this unit onto my brother, so can’t check. I will say most chargers that have a discharge function and a DC battery input, will take the voltage from the full battery (I.e., discharge it) to charge one or two other batteries.
Thanks Steve! An excellent review of this product. Shows how reviews should be done - all information included plus steady, unobscured, in focus views of all areas and information panels plus SHORT!! 👍👍😊 Still wouldn't buy 1 though. Don't need all the phone ap tripe (no phone) and 4 simple single chargers are a better deal than 1 combined fancy unit (unless the total price is substantially less) since, if 1 of the simple units dies, you are still in business. If the fancy unit dies you've got an expensive doorstop! 😉
Great review, thanks. I see this is identical to to the Hitec RDX4 - - but about $90 cheaper. Any advice would be appreciated, I don't know the difference between the brands.
I wish all charger reviews were this informative and well presented, a template for others to follow, thank you! A noob like me does however miss one point in ALL presentations of LIPO chargers, time for discharging and putting batteries into storage level charge. This seems to be vital in gaining long life and secure handling. In other words, a unit that can charge and discharge in a reasonable amount of time is important. Do I need to get a separate discharge unit? A practical issue and question. I have bought 2 pcs 6S 6000 mAh 100 C LIPO batteries and charging them seems a breeze. But, what if I come home with one or both of them unused and want to bring them down to safe storage levels, what time does it take? Many thank in advance + thanks for excellent presentation
So you would place your 6s batteries on the charger and select STORAGE. Only select DISCHARGE if the battery has an issue such as one cell doesn’t seem to charge fully by a large amount. On STORAGE, you can select the number of AMPS/CURRENT (6 amps for a 6000mAh) but it doesn’t matter because you’re pulling current out. The cell voltage that you wish to bring the cells down to will probably show 3.7 which is common for storage. Press START & the charger fan will come on as the battery is powering it to suck out the current. STORAGE is pretty much a set time period and you can’t speed it up much…. Unless you take the current out of one battery to charge another battery (more advanced method of storage on a charger).
@@CAPTAINDRONE798not only this .. but 2 more radios in addition to double tx rx systems .. all based on your fantastic videos . We are all here owe you a lot of thanks and appreciations .🍀👍🏻
Hi would i know if my q200neo is original? I couldnt find any hologram sticker anywhere, ill assume yours too, since i cant find the sticker anywhere in the video
Ok that has to be thr new version of mine. Mine has an app that won't work with my s23 ultra. You can scan qr codes on some batteries and it automatically sets the charger up to charge that battery
Hi Steve,I have the previous version of this charger and it's great, but the bluetooth connection is terrible. Maybe 10 feet before it loses connection. Is this new one any better?
two questions: - how loud is the fan? this is one of the really important things to me - does the app give you a notification, when a battery is fully charged? like you would get a message from whatsapp f.e.
Hi cap, im from Canada too, where are you ordering your drones and how? (Because when i ordered mine the tax on border was really high) i ordered from RDQ
@@Walter_Bergdon’t let him kid you he gets most of his stuff free from banggood and others to do a review and because of that it seems like he’s not honest about the products all the time. You know “bought and paid for”
Charging nimh cells is a different method than lipo. If you have a 6 cell nimh pack then just select nimh and number of cells in the charger and the way the charger charges nimh packs basically detects the packs cells have all peaked and shuts off the charge. This technique basically balances the cells.
Hi Steve. Great review. Nice charger. Question. Will this charge the smaller type lipo’s such as the 7.4 V 300 mAh 30c, or the 600 mAh 3.7 V 35c batteries ? If not, I’m looking for a similar one that will work for me. Can you suggest one. BTW when will your Capt. Drone stickers be available again? Thank. Keep warm up here!
It will charge a battery as small as a 2s battery (you need at least two cells in the battery). It won't chare a 1s battery at 3.7 volts because there is nothing to balance.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 wait what, it cant charge 1s? well, even tho i was looking forward to getting the q200 or d200, i think thats enough reason to go for the Hota d6 pro
It says 1-6s lipos on the specs. Most smart charger WILL charge 1 cell lipos you just select charge and set to 4.2v . No kidding it doesn’t balance a 1 cell lipo but it will charge a 1 cell lipo to 4.2volts. Do your homework captain drone if your going to do reviews and get paid for it. There is so much miss information coming from these popular UA-camrs it’s ridiculous. I only watched this video because your the only one so far with this charger other than that I will not support your channel.

Still think 160$ for a decent charger is ridiculous. The cheap ones suck I know I bout 2 different ones but this one is out of my range if I don’t buy spare parts or more batteries but than I can’t fly won’t need the charger
Yikes!!! You may wish to use my discount coupon. Also 6 week? That sounds like the old Banggood from years ago. In Canada/US, slow shipping times are around 3 weeks unless available in US warehouse (then it is a couple of days).

what about the balance current? too slow? how much time to charge an 1400mh 6s lipo at 1c?
What's the max amp charge current on each port when using the DC as a power source?
Ohms law. Battery voltage - for 4 2s lipos 400w (total dc power)/4(per channel)/7.6v(2s voltage) = 13A per channel
Does it work with the D350 discharge bank?
Hi would i know if my q200neo is original? I couldnt find any hologram sticker anywhere, ill assume yours too, since i cant find the sticker anywhere in the video
Is it original? Is there a company making fake ones? I’m unaware of this.

awsome review Steve.
Looks like a great charger
That looks like mine but mine is red and only charges 2 batteries at at time. Up to 6s I think
I've never heard of SkyRC before. Would most RC guys consider SkyRC a good, reliable brand?
Yes, SkyRC is a great brand and the Q200 NEO is a very popular charging station.
What's the max amp charge current on each port when using the UK mains 240v input?
Ohm's law - for ac on 2s lipos 200w/4 (#of channels)/7.6 (2s voltage)= 6.5A per channel for 2s on AC
Such a great charger
Upgraded battery 🔋 charger awesome 👌. Well rather buy a extra charger than more batteries. As always good 👍 review.
Thanks for watching
Is that not just a Hitec RD4?
Nice video cool charger
If you charge batteries in DC with a lipo will it stop when your charging lipo voltage gets too low?
Exactly
Dose it do HV battery's ?
Yes, just change end voltage per cell to the voltage you wish. So instead of 4.2 volts, go with 4.3 or 4.4 volts.
Ok that has to be thr new version of mine. Mine has an app that won't work with my s23 ultra. You can scan qr codes on some batteries and it automatically sets the charger up to charge that battery
