I've outlived 3 Labs in my lifetime and I told my Wife I couldn't take going through that again, one year later we now have a young Red named Rubi. I hope you and Jack have many more adventures together.
I understand that predicament...I have in my time seen 11 come and go...some were doubled up at times...we had all three colours before the Reds came on the scene...I have at present got an 11yo Chocolate...I love the Labs, there is just something very, very special about them... Hi from Scotland😁🐕✨
Ye this is my second lab the other was called Jack to lol but i could be getting a fox red one if i see one i like in the near future but like you say they are characters as there is some thing about them also its a shame i didn't start UA-cam 5 years ago when Jack was in his prime.
I have had Labs in my life since the 80’s ! Loved them all and bred and had 3 litters! Lost all 4 of my females and a piece of our family died with them but not the pictures and the beautiful memories of them in B my family and the seasons in the field hunting pheasants, ducks and geese! Labs are wonderful field and family dogs and the greatest friends in the world!
This video made my day! I'm watching it on a Sunday afternoon & great way to end my weekend! It's really awesome what your shooting does for the native animals in the area! Keep up the great work & the great videos! Thanks! Take care!
Amazing you posted this this evening. My wife and I were walking on our property and crows in the woods were attacking one of the owls that share the property with us. She did not realize how much destruction crows do. As always enjoyed watching. Stay safe and enjoy life.
Good to see you out and about again Simon. Too bad Jack didn't go along but I am sure he will be gracing us with his presence again soon. I was watching this vid and thinking to myself, I wonder if he ever misses a shot, and then, you prove to us you are human. I should never had doubted you Simon. Take care Simon! Always wanting to see more. Thanks!
Nice one Simon. Great shooting, as always, and a job well done. Countless song birds and game birds will be the beneficiaries of this successful foray.

Cracking head shots Simon, The Hades pellets certainly perform well especially at FAC level I use them myself in an FX Dreamline FAC great for head shooting squirrels. Hope to see Jack again soon all the best
Great shooting as always, I like you talking during the video and describing what you’re thoughts are while shooting. Finished up with 27 coyotes this season , they are making their nests and having there pups now. Have to save some for next season ! Missed seeing Jack please give him my best wishes. Looking forward to your next video. Stay well and strong my friend !
The cherry on the top is watching Jack....hope he gives you many more enjoyable hunts.... God's little joke that turtles and birds have a longer life than a dog....5 of mine have passed and I can't bear to put another down...but I miss each one of them. I am so impressed with the pellet gun accuracy....come a long way since the days of my Sheridan...
another good one, i have 2 labs, wonderful companions, my 1st lab before these 2 went on a few crow shoots with me, he loved retrieving them, ( then i learned to leave the fallen bandits where they lay for more decoys)
Great video Simon and your shooting bang on I was going to ask where Jack was. And that was a perfect setup for your blind 👌. I had to say goodbye to my Best Buddy Chevy in December so it's been tough but I'm wife said that you need another Buddy so 2 and a half weeks ago we got a 14 week old Fox Red English Labrador her name is Bella.
I had to stop watching at "i miss my spotter to be honest", I've commented a few times about my Black Lab' Wuppet and you've been kind enough to reply. At just past 10yo she was diagnosed with bowel cancer and slipped away a few days ago, the Vet said it was the best thing to let her go. I know in my heart she was right, but I'm still bereft. Two years of working at home made us closer than ever even when she wandered in, farted under my desk and casually wandered off again. 😀😥😪 So many good and funny times, "how did you miss that", "Biscuits", "Badger sh1t - i'm in!".
You mentioned cabin fever. I, we my work mates live in the same house travelling. Someone stirring their tea in the morning loudly can be murderous. Enjoy your content. All the best from Australia 🇦🇺
Enjoyed the video Simon. Some great shooting, even the 1 miss🤣 that bird must have ducked. Looking forward to seeing our old pal Jack on the next shoot.
Superb vid....must admit I'd lost my mojo just lately to get out shooting but having watched this vid the Ultimate Sporter is all readed for tomorrow. Thank you as always for sharing mate and best wishes. PS. I often wonder if Jack knows just what a massive fan club he's got.
Thanks Geoff ye its a shame Jacks not 5 years younger as you would have all seen him at his best as i spent years training him as a pup to the whistle being really fussy but these days he isn't the same dog he used to be but never mind i will still take him on the next one even if he is hard work at times lol.
Excellent Shooting and humane dispatching Simon 👉🎯🐿️. It'll be nice to see your Jack by your side again 😇👍. Another 'Like', Load and share 🤜🔁🤛 for your Video. Take care and stay safe 😷👍. Cheers 🙏🍻
Really enjoyed this one Simon, great shooting and a decent bag at the end of it. That's the trouble when farmers turn up where your shooting it suddenly cuts your session short. Anyone would think they owned the place 😂. Looking forward to your next one mate and hopefully Jack as well. ATB
@@simon6ppc246 they certainly do mate. I have just purchased a pulsar C50 so I'm looking forward to setting it up on my .223 and upload some video's with it.
Good shooting Simon, shows a good powerful air rifle has its place in the hunting world. These days they are so accurate which makes them a good option at ‘sensible’ ranges. I use my FX Crown 25 in my horse paddock permissions it’s very handy. Good stuff 👍
Great video as ever, seen the damage crows can do at lambing time so worthy work. Also have to say your judgement on the rook was good, not doing something for the sake of it. Always good to see your trusty sidekick and shame he wasn't there but know he's getting older, getting to us all!. Till the next instalment, stay safe buddy 😉
Another excellent video Simon, I always enjoy watching them. I've not been shooting for over five years due to ill health and old age. Best wishes, Geoff.
Thanks Geoff and i am so sorry to hear you haven't been out my friend i know some times when i don't go out watching it is not just as good but better than nothing, hope you get well soon and i mean that. 👍
