Great shot on the squirrel at 145ys never easy with all that wind Simon. Always enjoy your explanation about your FAC guns and how you dial in the scope cheers mate 👍 one love ❤️ Ali
the amount of people I see shooting crows and pigeons out the tops of trees with slugs is alarming, nice to see someone with some sense, great work simon 👍🏻
Thank you, Simon. That was a great watch. Your FX is some rifle, very accurate. I like the location of the pressure gauges on the side of the rifle. That seems a much better place than having to virtually look the barrel in the eye. Thank you and well done!
Great video Simon. Thanks. With that many and quite a large area, we use feeders to bring them to one spot. A very effective way to manage them to help all the little birds.
nice work simon no need to have to worry about head shots with that kit upper body will do spent both days this weekend on them had 9 off 2 different feeders
Great vid as always thanks. I drop a couple of small bags ( 30g) of silica gel into my gun bag to help with the damp issues especially this time of year
Great video as normal Simon, I loved your comment at the start about googling Squirells to the unaniciated. 😆. Not sweet creatures at all as we know, we try to knock off as many as possible on our permissions with the sub 12s to help our struggling song birds. Tremendous long shot with the FX, great to watch such accuracy.
Abundance of grays this year, seems to be endless amounts around. Pop 2 or 3 off every week around the farm yard here and they keep coming. Your FX is some weapon in your hands 👍
Impressive shot on that grey out in the field. Farthest I have taken a squirrel is 129 yards and did it twice from the same tree on two different occasions, but in my case, I think it was luck more than anything LOL

🇨🇱🤝🇬🇧saludos mr simon desde chile excelente jornada de caza el fx se ha comportado en forma magnifica y usted ha sacado provecho de cada libra de fuerza 🤗👏👍
HimSimon, your squirrels are a lot less cute than ours down in the south! Never could get 50 yards near one, especially with a rifle, they won;d do one asap
Do you pay attention to the wind direction when hunting them? One thing I learned when going after squirrels that are more wild, like not ones in parks that are really used to people, is that they’ll wind you just like other wild animals. They don’t pay too much attention to noise (cuz they make a ton of noise), but if they smell you coming, they’ll be way more likely to be way up a tree, or hiding on the other side of a tree etc…. Hardly anyone seems to think of this, I guess because they’re used to ones in the park, but if you stay a bit out of sight, and down wind, you’ll be much more likely to get close.
@ Sorry, I didn’t mean the weather, but being down wind so they can’t smell you coming. I’m sure a lot of people don’t think of that, because they’re used to don’t consider them to be actual wild animals. Anyway good video, I never miss one you post.
@@simon6ppc246 your getting a lot longer than me lol. Been putting off buying pulsars own batteries for it as it’s getting old now. Should upgrade, still does the job tho. Need to get these zan slugs to you.
You are unbelievably awesome with your FX KING at long range shots my friend, hats off to you buddy. What exact slug are you shooting out of it and did you ever try the 30 caliber FX HYBRIDS, they shoot excellant out of my 30 caliber LESHYI 2.
Hi Simon I have a question till what distance you still shoot with the JSB hades I have the wildcat sniper now in 22 but I think 50 meters that’s good but not much more what’s your opinion thanks for you time and keep up the nice videos I love it
Hi buddy, hope you and yours are well? recently done a LANTRA grey squirrel control course, not that I needed to, but you know? where is the most humane place to target a grey 12ft lbs. Great shot at 145 yds BTW. What thermal do you recommend? I have a Pard DS35 50 LRF Gen 2 Night Vision scope atop one of my 2 trusted S200's , drawing pin 30yds.
The fac rated guns really do pack a punch at the longer ranges. Must be nice to shoot permissions. Have no idea how you get them and if you need fac rated guns to be able to shoot permissions.
Simon from Brisbane Australia. Love your skills and watch regularly. I am not good deciphering your accent however but will get it overtime. Love the countryside - reminds me of growing up in Tasmania.
Nesting birds are gonna be a lot happier now that there are less predators around next year. Excellent work!
100% pal

Anyway good video, I never miss one you post.
Can you get them FX KING'S IN .25 FAC CHEERS 🍻 👏. 🤙🦊
Sure can pal
Hi Simon great video as usual where did you get your bottle clamp with the sling swivel attachment from?
I once bought one from Braces of Bristol, but there are some wildly varied prices out there. 😳
Ye as above Mark.
Congratulations on 50k subs mate.
Great video as always.
Still use my quantum xq50. What you do for batteries for it?
I just buy 4 of them may be once a year pal and they last for hours.
@@simon6ppc246 your getting a lot longer than me lol. Been putting off buying pulsars own batteries for it as it’s getting old now. Should upgrade, still does the job tho.
Need to get these zan slugs to you.
"Nice One", Simon Dave in USA
Cheers Dave
Another great video. Keep up the good work.
What kind of rangefinder do you use in this video?
Thanks Jazz thats a Vortex one think it ranges to 1400 yards
fantastic vid simon
Thank you Dave.
Brilliant Simon absolutely brilliant lovely gun as well what lenght barrel is on it 600ml or 700ml thank you
Cheers pal its a 600mm.
where you really take care of yourself. Hello. I also like to go squirrel hunting like you
Nice one
If you've got any fly tying mates they'd love a few squirrel tails.
Ye Dave i do tie flys to be fair

Ye on calm days if they are going FAC speeds you will get a bit more to be fair pal.
Thanks Simon, its amazing how far and wide the grey squirrel has spread !
They dont jump around like rats after being shot ?
Well they don't when that King hits them to be fair lol
@@simon6ppc246 😂😂👍
Cracking shot you make it look easy which I know it isn't
Cheers pal and ye i do agree with you as it does take some doing to be fair.

Thanks Gary with 12 ftlb its head shots only to be fair and my old thermal is an XQ50 Pulsar.
That gun hits with some force!?
Sure does
Write a letter to Santa and ask for a SQ50L 3.0. 😉
Lol more like a Nocpix 👌
Great shot @145 yds, what scope is on the king ?
Its an Element Helix HDLR Dan a cracking scope
Is your wolverine alot less powerful is that why you can shoot it up in trees or is it because your shooting pellets out of it instead of slugs.
Ye John its only 11.5 ftlbs were as the King is 62ftlb
