But how could some of you think it was for real, that's an headscratcher here ^^' It only results in more props to the people involved in these animations i guess x)
Hands down this has been the best Worlds production we've had. What's actually impressive is how they've managed to create a pixel-perfect XR scenery. That's without talking about the effects in the dance sections.
I must say, for me, that is the most exciting part about worlds. to see what the production team has come up each year, to see which boundaries they will push, which technologies they will utilise to create new and never before existed experiences.
They butchered it all by the finals though. It was so impressive to see what they'd done throughout playoffs and such, and then finals hit and Galio looks more scuffed than the elder drake during finals 2017. It was a shame.
Every year I’m just caught saying “whoaaaa”. last year with the holograms, 2018 with the AR as well as the dragon in 2017. You gotta hand it to these guys, they have skills.
Is there a way you could explain how the layering and effects are done to someone who is intrigued but has zero experience and prior knowledge about such stuff?
This is kinda crazy, just yesterday I was rewatching Worlds 2019 and I wondered why you guys never have shown how you make those crazy stuffs. So cool, thank you Riot.
You are givin ao much to this community ! Every year I just can't wait to witness your production prowess. And honestly knowing what was forced upon you with covid you made a stellar show out of it!
honestly the girl being present is cringe though.. dancing and etc was not needed. the effects are fantastic though, no way anyone is calling the effects cringe. effects is insane. best production hands down. just not sure if the dancing was needed, my face even twitched when i see her dancing etc. even player's face were like "wtf"
@@TakumiTheFAUSTScientist dude, what are you talking about. This post is talking about the effects at worlds not the league of legends fx, and league of legends objectively has shittier visuals than wild rift because its built on a stone age engine. educate yourself
@@LoneHeaven if u look back at the performance, look at the girl's hands every single animation is following the girls action to make it seem like the girl is making those things real through augmented reality and cgi it's not simply "dancing"
I remember a few years ago, there was this idea of bringing to life the summoners rift, like you could actually see (like they did at worlds last year) the map and everything. I don't want to have high expectantions for that to happen, but it would be insane if they actually do this because I think that with this technology that could be possible. Anyway, Riot is always showing us new technology and I cant be more thankful for that!
That would be really cool! Something like the Rift map in 2016 Worlds but with champions being projected in realtime? I'm sure it could happen but teamfights would be very messy to project, and it may be distracting for the players themselves to see 6 foot projections - plus the fact that they would be able to see both sides of the Rift?
When I first saw the stage I was worried that the stage was just two long desks surrounded by green curtains. Especially, because you can easily see pixels on the front of the desks, but none on the surrounding. I am really glad that the players can experience at least some of this amazing set. wp Riot
Huge congratulations for everyone from Riot Games and Possible. It's incredible to see the effort that you all put, we can see and feel it by watching.
I love how the LCK has been using similar tech in their broadcast too! I remember their analysis desk bring hosted in the "dragon pit" and would change depending on what soul it was in game
Animations / stage visual effects have been splendid all tournament long, very well done, thank you ! (Also what a way to introduce the game to uneducated people ;) )
i appreciate all of the work , these guys are insane . music , animations and all these fancy stuff that riot games makes is really dope , one thing that i dont appreciate is game balance. Other than that everything is great . production team is insane. keep up the good work.
I was kinda worried before the worlds if there would be same kind of "worlds hype" as years before with the huge audiences and stadiums but with this level of production there sure has been.
I guess the tech they use in the Mandalorian is being used here, but more sophisticated here with the AR system layered on top and it is a live effect.
People aren’t meming the production cause it’s super good and a lot of people are super impressed with it trust me even people that I know that don’t like league just loved the background and the production it’s amazing people just meme the dancers
the sad part is that the stage looks meh in 1080p on a 4k Monitor, but when you hear its renderd in 32K you want to start to cry. I hope they will get a 4k version out for the finale
Imagine trying to run 32k combined resolution on anything but an array of the highest-end computers, in fact even imagine what else, other than massive LED walls would you need bonkers resolutions like that for!
What if instead of skyscrapers and structures they made the 360 virtual environment a region in runeterra which changes every game. Would be cool to see Ionia or shurima on the background.
So you're telling me that caps wasn't going to get thrown in the water instead on the floor?
Yes
Ok that changes all does memes.
