When there is grass hire a tractor to cut grass for you and store loads and loads of it. Do that every year...and buy molasses to mix with when feeding
We are an agriculturally based economy but sadly we really dont understand farming , there is so much science that goes into understanding the basics of farming , the other comments below are true , when you have sold your cattle to remain with a heard of 10 cows and a single bull you can reach out for advice , we need to understand farming for 2 seasons eg , having enough fodder to feed them in times like this , you are not going to fetch decent prices but its really important to let most of them go and you buy hay to feed the heard , our people need to understand the need to harvest water and keeping fodder and making supplementary feed with proper nutritional value . A breed like Nguni is perfect for Zimbabwe's most regions , it has very high urea levels in its body and also forages as well as grazing because it can convert a lot of available grazing/browsing into conversion , no other type of cattle does this as well as the Nguni . For now you just need an emergency measure, sell off some beasts b4 disease sets into the heard !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope it rains soon. Beautiful herd when all was well . They just need their mummy and daddy to work twice as hard and buy extra feed. You hv got this-dont give up💪
Guys please!!! Sell some cattles and and buy food for these Wonderful herd of cattles. It's better to lose half keeping half well fed. Hunger breed diseases, poor meat and lot of stress for the animals. Save your beautiful stock
@@reyadmagwaza2875 we cant sell now because they are too skinny no one will buy, we are trying our best to feed them, but expensive because they are so many… thanks for the comment
Very nice cattle, skinny now due to the drought but it’s not all of them some are healthy and very soon they will pick up and the silky skin will return. I pray it will rain this year we are cruising in the same boat
Hopefully it will rain soon and vegetation will start to grow
Thank God you haven’t lost any of your animals
