Grievous is an alien called a Kaleesh and became a cyborg after an accident that Count Dooku planned but it was blamed on the jedi, he can't use the force though but was trained in lightsaber combat by Dooku.

I dont think thats the canon version, the non-canon version is that Dooku caused an accident but Grievous wanted to die a warriors death but Dooku convinced him to be a cyborg. They changed this cuz Lucas thought that it is too much like Vader and also wanted Grievous to be a "mustache twirling" villain, so the canon version is that Grievous was a warrior and wanted to be stronger so he slowly rebuilt himself. In the Lair of Grievous Clone Wars episode you can see statues of Grievous in different phases of his transformation proving this version
It's even more embarrassing when you realise both of these games are already on steam and you can still find matches even years after the original came out. These "remasters" are basically pointless aside from porting the game to modern consoles.
Plus they’re cheaper too

And with mods I have over 1k hours on the 2005 version
They aren't available on PS5 so it opens up access to a lot of players to play it again and it's been great! And the single player works without any problems in my experience so I don't get all the hate because they're super fun and nostalgic games!

General Grievous can't use the force. And he's not really a robot, it's just that most of his body got replaced with technology except for the heart, lungs and brain.
And a little fun fact: Mace Windu is the reason why he coughs all the time. He just squashed Grievous' throat with the force in the first animated Clone Wars movie 😅.
Was it canon though? The community seems split up about that part of the Prequels.
@@glitchmaker010 I know what you mean, but everything related to the clone wars is considered canon by Disney and not just part of the expanded universe/legends. Mainly because the clone wars were only ever vaguely mentioned before Episode 2 and the show came out, so there aren't that much contradicting storylines spread across multiple books, comics and games.
Basically, all the main movies, the clone wars show & movie and all the stuff made by Disney is officially canon.
That series is no longer canon, thank god for that

2. Gendy is a brilliant animator, but when it comes to writing it's clear that he's better off handling his own stories than someone else's
3. 03 clone wars is nothing but mindless actionfest meant to promote episode 3 and boost toy sales (that's not me slandering that's literally why it was made), and yes the animation is gorgeous and the action is amazing but as a star wars story it's too bare bone on the characters and stories, not to mention said action jumps the shark several times
If I remember right they’re trying to destroy all Jedi archives because it contains records of force sensitive, and it holds texts to force abilities they don’t want falling into the siths hands

General Grievous is from Kalee, making him Kaleesh. He was a warlord of his people in a massive war against the Yam'rii, a very much mantis-like species that were enslaving and massacring his people. Grievous prosecuted the war brutally in response, and the Yam'rii appealed to the Republic. The Kaleesh as such lost the war and their planet was reduced to a lower economic level. In response, Grievous got funding from the Banking Clan (that was discreetly controlled by the Sith). As such, Grievous returned to his home world to fight the war. A bomb in his ship, planted by Dooku, exploded. He was "rescued" and given a choice either to die or become a cyborg. He chose the later, but in response the Geonosians altered his brain and emotions despite his request to not alter who he was.
A great comic about Grievous' early life and journey is the Dark Horse comic The Eyes of Revolution" from Star Wars: Visionaries. (His name before Grievous is Qymaen jai Sheelal).

My PC version of the OG battlefront 2 has a remaster mod, like 20 custom maps, a ray tracing mod, lots of clone wars tv show jedi/sith, lots of new troopers and guess what it is STILL smaller than this lazy cash grab

Someone probably mentioned it, but the AI in the Classic games (not sure about the remake) is actually quite good. The enemy will know from which direction you're shooting from rather than knowing where you are at all time, and if you shoot at them from a long distance, they will actually start bob and weaving to avoid the blaster fire.
And the droid at 17:05 was actually controlling the small ball you shot at before dying.
Yea, I still have my ps2 version and I believe on my XBox One and the AI is smarter in those compared to the remasters.
I remember playing the OG Star Wars Battlefront 1 & 2 on the Original Xbox as a kid and I had the best time of my life playing battlefields, battle units, and heroes/villians from the Original and Prequel Star Wars movies.

General Grievous wasn't Force Sensitive, but he was an excellent saber Duelist. So much that he didn't even need the Force in order to counter attacks from the Jedi.
In the 2003 animation, he was far more threatening of a figure than in the prequel movies, with his cybernetic enhancements overpowering a group of 6 Jedi in both speed and power during one scene.
Edit: As for the part of the Jedi Library, its because the records have information about Jedi Temples, Force Sensitive children, Combat Techniques and other kinds of information the Empire would use against them later on. By destroying those records, they could safekeep future generations of Jedi by hiding away those who weren't present during the temple's massacre or near Republic territories.
Fun fact: Aayla and Bly did a little more than just strategizing. 😂
If you plan playing more of it in the future, there's a command with F4 where you can team up with other units from your team and make a small squad of 3 people. They'll follow you wherever you go and will attack any units within their range.
When you press F4 aiming at a vehicle, you can also command it to stop so you can get in.
Fun Fact there is a Light side version of Force Lightning called Force Judgement but the only one I know who could do it was Jedi Master Plo Kloon

Back on when the first battlefront came out I loved playing it, i sucked sucked ass at it. But the feeling of being a trooper and fighting with your companions is a experience I will never forget.

I absolutely hated the section with the bookcases. Took me so many tries, and in the end I think I did it with carefully placed explosives and the shotgun.
19 year old grievances aside, Battlefront II still holds up, both on Steam and PS2, and I can't believe how EA managed to mess up their version of the game twice.
20:09 the Jedi destroy their literature because at that point Order 66 was in power and by destroying the bookshelves the jedi wouldnt give their secrets to the sith.
I don't know what Star Wars is about now and I don't really care because of Disney. And I'm not a fan anyway. My only knowledge is Star Wars: Force Unleashed, Family Guy Star Wars and Space Balls.

No, General Grievous can't use the force. He was only trained in the lightsaber form of combat by Count Dooku after he was almost killed in a battle. His story is actually quite tragic. Would make a great TV show if written competently by someone that isn't apart of Disney.
You need to play Wanted Dead. It's a game that was made in 2003 and released in 2023.
General Grievous is a Kaleesh. As Grievous... all that's essentially left of him organically is his eyes and his organs. He can't use the force even if he tried to train for it under Dooku. He's basically a spider-robot with lightsabers that can go spinning.

This appeared during the heaviest time of online 'competitive play' in my time as a gamer. While not as 'big' as the Battlefield franchise - it did everything right including NPC 'boss' spawns to slow players advance on control points. The second one made Jedi a playable reward which was the beginning of the end IMO. When you dangle other carrots besides the basic win/lose conditions - players tend to get selfish and not focus on the match - instead being greedy and narcissistic. Kids will be kids - try not to enable it.
I have vague memories of playing this and all i can remember is i died on Kashyyk a lot. I think i rented this game for ps2 but i honestly don't even remember.

also at 20:10 you guys ask why they would destroy there own books of knowledge its because they knew the sith were tryin to steal all the info they could so they could become more powerful as well as theres is technically eternal life when you connect to the light side so palpatine was trying to achieve it and obi wan and yoda were at the jedi temple on coruscant so they warned everyone that palpatine was the new dark lord
Btw, you can "repair" the bookcases with the Engineer's Fusion Cutter (which you can also use to slice vehicles).

Grievous cannot use the force, he's not force sensitive. Dooku Trains Grievous in the arts of Jedi, and Grievous got real invested with it, so he became very skilful.
This game needed 2 more weeks in the oven. They have already fixed a lot of the issues on PC (still waiting for console update). Multiplayer issues were understandable to a degree but this game just wasn't play tested
As a console user, im happy to be able to play it again. Idgaf about multiplayer, so idk. I like the game, im enjoying it

I haven't had any problems with the collection and I was so happy to play it again since it's finally available on modern consoles with brand new content too

I found a stack of ps2 games at goodwill and they included battle front and battle front to. Still worked flawlessly for 2 bucks a pop. Think I'll stick to playing it that way.

16:00 You were doing a good job killing those Wookies but nothing will ever surpass the opening level of The Force Unleashed when you play as Darth Vader with crazy supped up Force powers that you can use to kill everything on screen which just so happens to be a ton of Wookies and Stormtroopers. One second you are Force choking a Wookies to death and then the next using the Force to levitate a handful of your own Stormtroopers and tossing them across the map through buildings and all!
This game also has easily to me the most satisfying game mechanic I have ever felt. So good in fact it was like my daily therapy and I would be sad when I didn't get to do it after a while. It's when you come across the innocent child-like Jawas and when you force grab them they are so light and small there's no resistance and you can whip them all around in any direction super fast. They'll even try to cling on to objects or other Jawas but the BEST PART is slowly lifting them as high as you can and then doing a Force Push that will legit send them to orbit (or off the map at least lol) at a ridiculous speed!
Literally a decade after release I still go back to just whip a few nasty little Jawas off the planet lol!

Grievous can NOT use the Force, no. He was only trained in the Jedi Arts (lightsaber combat), by Count Dooku.
The whole point of Yoda was that he could be a legendary jedi master without actually fighting. Thw prequels ruined absolutely everything about Star Wars. Lucas is a hack; other people made the original trilogy good in spite of him.

clone engineer is the meta. with clone engineer u can one-shot jedi in close range, heal yourself AND use the repair tool on the bookcase.
The Order 66 level is difficult but still one of the greatest levels in the game

This remaster is a whole nothing burger if you already have the game on steam. Very active servers still, any time I hop on I find full lobbies.
I personally have been really enjoying this game. The multiplayer is really bad but all the offline stuff is pretty great (it's why i bought the game to relive my childhood game) and im glad they're fixing the game rather than just doing a one and done.

I think I’ve spent more money on remasters that are broken than actual new games, makes me think that the gaming industry is on its last leg. Nowadays it’s CoD, Fortnight and whatever new game is in the masses rotation. Sucks that we were spoiled back then and we had no clue

The reason why the Jedi were destroying the Archives was because they didn't want Jedi knowledge and secrets falling into Sith hands. Its suspected that some of the archives has knowledge of where the next generation of force sensitives were located.
I think the biggest crime is that when this game is finally fixed and patched no one's going to care so I hope everyone cares
