I also forgot to mention that Jack Lalanne also weighed ~155 lbs when he died at the age of 96-97. His muscle mass decreased with age since he didn't use any kind of hormonal replacement or pharmaceutical enhancement. So you're "small" grandfather wasn't underweight for his height AND age.

Regulating a session due to a rational decision when you feel shitty every once in a while doesn’t harm your long term progress, getting hurt or regularly grinding yourself to the ground does.

The book is a reaction to the overblown "panic" CREATED by the corporate media companies. This isn't hypocritical. Profiting off lies, disinformation, under informing, and misrepresenting the data to the public is completely different than what Mr. Briggs is doing. If you are cutting weight and your lifts are suffering, try shifting your macro timing. When you wake up, eat 15% of the carbs you're going to eat that day. Pre-workout, eat 25% of the carbs you're going to eat that day. Post workout, eat 25% of the carbs you're going to eat that day. Eat the other 35% how you wish. If you lift first thing in the morning, eat the initial 15% and 25% together. Never cut your protein.you can play with fats too but carbs are a lot easier to control.
I think they need to have an intern squatted down in front of the table to occasionally sprinkle grains of salt on it so rip actually has something to wipe off. He's about to rub the goddamn finish off that spot.

Rip also claimed that injuries is part of the game. When you train you will get injured. So I don't want that, and I don't get that because I don't train that heavy.
I don't think it's an absolute certainty that you will or will not do better with injuries by lifting lighter. So many other variables come into play ie Form, rest, sleep, warming up, Hydration etc etc

You can get big with both lower (5 reps) and higher reps (8-12), but will only get strong with lower reps.
you can still get stronger with higher reps. If you are going up in weight...you are getting stronger. I usually do 8 rep sets. But your point is taken.
