The head of the family BAPURAJAPURAM BALAKRISHNA SASTRIGAL had been with Maha Periyavaa since 1960 and follows HIS footsteps meticulously.
'PERIYAVAA' series will provide an insight into the life of KANCHI MAHAN, HIS Upadesams, HIS untiring efforts to reinstate SANATHANA DHARMA, VEDA SAMRAKHANAM and also highlight HIS views on varied subjects including art & culture, science, politics and how a human being should conduct himself in his day to day life!
The highlight of this Series is almost all the artistes are facing the camera for the first time!
The series will focus on the seer who is believed to be the REINCARNATION OF LORD PARAMASIVAN himself, having descended on the Earth to propagate Sanathana Dharma and lead humanity to the path of righteousness.
The prime aim of the Series will be to highlight the purpose of HIS being on this Universe and what HE lived for, rather than capturing the miracles attributed to HIM.
The series is to be totally funded by the Rasikas with their contributions
This is, therefore, an earnest appeal to all the Devotees of Maha Periyavaa to come forward and contribute ‘Yatha Shakthi’ and ensure that the lofty ideals fructify.

It was really great, that as farmers till for other's sake, armymen fight for other's sake, we brahmins must perform Vedic karma for other's sake inspite of us being suppressed,oppressed, tortured,eliminated,expatriated not bothering what rulers do to us - is a good advise & logical conclusion to all of us brahmins. "Karman eva adhikaraste na phaleshu concept." If we all practice this for some time, after a few years we all may die of starvation and a day will come when there will be no brahmins to perform Vedic rites and gradually world may collapse with sickness,starvation, fight, hunger, no rain, over heat, no water, flood at unwanted time etc.., then some rulers at that time may realize sanathanic dharma and reintroduce these practices, forcing rebirth of these Dwijanas- completing the cycle - "punarabhi jananam punarabhi maranam" . It is bound to happen one day, till such time and till we are able to exist let us do this.
Comment appears very dark. Anyway I am not sure what you meant really. Let us just do our karma properly. We don't have to do anything further. I am a brahmin and can say that was a victim Of reservation system of India but survived. I always feel I could have done better. Let us all motivate our children to walk the noble path and work hard. It doesn't matter if they have to leave country for betterment of career due to reservation system. I think that teaching of periyava is obselete w.r.t leaving country as Tamil nad cannot make brahmin thrive in anyway!! So it is survival for necessity they are leaving the country.

can't see the vayassana Paatti standing while every other person including her own son are sitting. That too her son is sughama sitting just next to her and still not asking her to sit . It might have been the practice long back where ladies didn't use to sit infront of men. But atleast now don't we feel it awkward?
just think of that son who does not even feel like telling 'Amma, okkaaru, nikkaaathe'... What a toxic culture. This culture is being shown in a glorified way. If it's because she doesn't sit infront of her Mappillai or so, you can still include a dialogue where Mappillai urges Amma to sit and don't feel embarrassed or something like that.. Or if there was a guest or so, atleast we can put up with this (I will, still feel it painful but atleast they have a justification that guest irukka so she is shy or something) . But this is just her family members and even then she doesn't feel it right to sit and Noone around her finds any problem with this. Same applies to her daughter too. But when the eldermost lady of the family itself is shown this way, what to talk of her daughter character. How long will she stand like this.. "முக்குடி ஒரு குடி குடியாதே " இது என்ன பழமொழி யா அல்லது விடுகதையா?
சதாசிவம் இது சந்தி தொடர்புடையது என்று சொன்னார்..
1. முக்குடி ஒருகுடி குடியாதே: ஆசமனம் எப்படி செய்வது
வலது கையை பசுவின் காதுபோல் கோகர்ண முத்திரை செய்துகொண்டு,அதில் உளுந்து மூழ்குமளவிற்கு ஜலம் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு,பிறகு சுண்டு விரலையும் கட்டை
விரலையும் நீக்கி கையை குவித்துக்கொண்டு உறிஞ்சுகின்றபோது ஒலி எழாமல்,கைகள் உதட்டின் மீது படாமல் நீர் பருகுவதே ஆசமனம் எனப்படும்.
இவ்வாறு 3 முறை
மந்திரம் கூறி நீர்
பருக வேண்டும்.
ஒருமுறை மட்டும் செய்தால் சரியில்லை.
2. ஐம்பிடி ஒருபிடி பிடியாதே:
ஶ்ரார்ததில் பிராணஹுதி( offering food) செய்யும்போது, 5 பிரணாக்களுக்கு படைக்க வேண்டும்.
3. பெற்ற தாய்க்கு சோறு போடாதே:
வயதானவர்கள் எவ்வளவு போட்டாலும் குறை சொல்வார்கள். அதனால் அவர்களுக்கு நாம் சோறு பரிமாறாமால் அவர்களாகவே போட்டுக்கொள்ள விட்டுவிடவெண்டும்.
இதன் தொடர்பாக " உழவு மாட்டுக்கு வைக்கோல் போடாதே" என்ற பழமொழியும் உண்டு.
4. வெற்றிலை போடாதே:
இது வெறும் இலையை போடாமல், அதில் ஏதாவது வைக்க வேண்டும் என்ற பொருள் போல தெரிகிறது. இன்று இரவு தெரிந்துவிடும்..
இந்த விளக்கங்கள் தான் அடியேனுக்கு தோன்றியது.. தவறாக இருந்தால் மன்னிக்கவும்..
I have seen their play on Ramana Maharshi live. Cant believe that they would come up with a cringe series. Looks like a soap opera. Disappointing.
