You're the 1st person to say exactly what I was thinking when she sang Diamonds... You cant tell me that Rihanna wasn't singing to her baby. I cried when I watched it back and saw her touch her baby bump on "when you hold me, I'm alive". Very sweet and definitely very brave of her to be singing on that moving platform waaaay high in the air. Big props to her!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

It was such a cool experience reliving all these bangers from high school and college while at the same time my 4yo daughter was hearing many for the first time. We've watched it 30+ times and I like coming back to your reaction as well.

Great performance. But as audiences we often forget the REAL talent behind the scene. Choreographer/dancers/set designers/wardrobe team/lightning team/even the fire works That shoot up at such perfect timing/ these are all done by REAL talent behind the scene. They deserve a bigger shout out than riyanna. She just have to show up to rehearsal. And lipsync her way through the show. Without these REAl talent behind the scene. Rhianna will just be another girl next door with an ok singing voice.🤷♥️

I already saw and commented on this video. I have heard conflicting information as to whether she is pregnant. Some have said that this is the second worst Superbowl Halftime Show ever. I enjoyed the songs, though I only recognized a few of them. One I recognized was "Diamonds", which is the most popular cover on UA-cam by the One Voice Children's Choir at almost 250 million views.

She may get a pass on the choreography because of the baby bump, but I did expect her to at least make some small effort to sing live. And to call it "lip-synching" does that term a terrible injustice. In parts, she seemed to mock the audience by not even attempting to sync those lips. Just going through the motions is not considered a "performance" or a "show." I prefer "live" to actually be live. So disappointing.
You can tell that she sung about 60% of it, every Super Bowl has lip syncing, it’s probably tough singing for a full 15 minutes whilst pregnant
@@jordanb966 She knew she was pregnant when she accepted this gig. And the bare minimum choreography that she did was fine, considering. She's never been known as a great dancer, even back when she was in her prime. Maybe she was just trying to convey IDGAF with the way she blatantly ignored the mic in certain parts. If that was her message, then message received.
@@bobbyrw1398 majority of last years was lip synced, weeknd lip synced on his, I actually preferred Rihanna’s halftime show and I’ve probably not listened to rihanna in years so don’t call me a fan or something, I enjoyed the minimalism of it
@@jordanb966 I'll agree with you on that. It was minimal. lol I guess I've grown accustomed to smaller acts in smaller venues, where you're treated to an unfiltered performance with all flaws exposed, rather than slick and overproduced. But, I guess, scaled up to Super Bowl status, the producers can't afford any mistakes, so singing to a pre-recorded track is almost expected. Looking at it from that perspective, I suppose it makes sense.
I don't understand the whole lip-synching controversy. She used a backing track. Almost every artist uses backing tracks for big shows these days. She sang probably 80% of the lyrics. You can literally hear when her voice comes in and out over the backing track.
Brad, I like you, but this performance was terrible. Her crew and supporting musicians/dancers were doing a great job... because that's what they are paid to do. But the "star?" Nah. I'm already subscribed, so I'll give you my comment and my like. The like is for YOU, not her.

@@kojoseimodel I don't care at ALL what she (or any other performer) wears. I DO care how a musical performer SOUNDS. She sounded bad. My opinion. Trump? what does Trump have to do with anything?
