Callum has probably been training and studying for the last two years and Claudia has probably just been obsessing over bringing her dad back so they’re probably around equal. Also I’m really looking forward to how Soren has grown (besides his facial hair).
I really hope we meet Soren and Claudia's mother Lissa at some point. I know their divorce was explained in season 3, but the book 1 novelisation mentions that she grew scared of Viren after he healed Soren, who was actually quite a sickly child, with dark magic. If she's still alive, I really want her to be introduced at some point (or shown in a flashback). I have a feeling Soren probably takes after her more than Viren 😂
There was a comment somewhere during a Claudia - Soren scene where she mentions Viren's dark magic healing Soren. At the time of watching I was confused because I could only recall her using dark magic to heal his paralysis earlier in the show - so cool to know that the line was probably hinting to what you mentioned!!

One more thing I noticed is that Claudia tried to retrieve Virens staff and Ibis snatched it from her via sky magic. Seems like that is the reason why they fight. You can see Ibis holding his staff as well as Viren's staff, while Claudia uses Corrupted Sun Elf staff. Sigh. So she will murder the guy. Sad. Another big step that she does in becoming Big Bad Evil :(
I am unreasonably pumped for fantasy lesbians. Both of those characters are out of this world amazing and when I saw that shot I think I screamed so loud I woke my family up. I could cry lol. I love it so much
Aaravos can be seen holding a small stone figure of Callum at 0:32. This indicates that Aaravos has taken a great interest into the young mage and Callum might be in great danger in this season. It gives me hope for a great hero-villain rivalry between these two characters.
It’s no surprise when you think about it. Both of them are prodigy’s off their own races. Aravos, able to utilise all 6 primal sources, and Callum, the first human to ever forge a connection to a Primal Source. The possibilities for an amazing hero vs villain storyline between these two is incredible

All I want from movies, tv shows, plays is a great story. Characters that brings you into their head and hearts . Doesn't matter if it's animated, or live action. That is what this show is.

I think the "in darkness gaze upon a fallen star" is what frees him because the glass breaks when he says that incarnation, either Callum's ability to do magic without a primal source, the cube or both is what allows him to do it.

It's not that humans don't have a primal source. It's that various races of elves and other creatures are born connected to a particular primal source. It's their nature, indicating that those sources probably spawned those specific races of elf or creature. Humans are the aberration because they're born unconnected, like most mundane living things. The problem nobody understood before, is that it doesn't meant magic is beyond their reach, it means any human can potentially master any and all magics. They're not born with a preexisting connection to any source, so they can forge a connection to any or all sources. Callum is merely the first to do so. Elves can't do it because their whole existence is tied to the source they're born bound to. With no such binding, humans can build a connection to any source. Callum is just the first. But any human can do it, if they can understand it.
Three years? Daaaamn! I only started watching from January this year. Didn’t realise there had been such a long wait. I guess Covid was a big reason. I wonder how long this season would of taken to make normally?
@@KiyokaMakibi So part of the delay was due to COVID, part of the delay was due to threat of cancelation, normally there's about a 6-9 month gap between the seasons and now that they've gotten their production started back up that should be the gap we continue to see up to the end in Season 7
@@earthbloodelf5289 I don't remember the cancelation threat, but the writing team mentioned they flesh out 3 seasons at a time. There were lots of contributing factors that lengthened the delay, but this was also a big one. When the show started, they had plans straight through to season 3, so they didn't need HUGE gaps. But once season 3 finished, there wasn't any direction temporarily, so they had to hash it out.
@@ghostchannel4766 Yeah, there was definitely a point in time where they had to stop production because S4 was an uncertainty, in June or July of 2020 I believe they officially got the go ahead and were able to begin work on it then
Rayla looks so beautiful and grown-up (a womanly glow-up indeed, much akin to Astrid from the "How to Train Your Dragon" franchise. I reckon Callum will have a hard time getting over just how beautiful she is. She's certainly quite shy in describing Callum as looking "nice". She probably thinks he's gorgeous and handsome. 🥰 Ezran has matured into a wise young king that would make his father proud.
Things to note from the trailer: We can see the Zym and Rayla redesigns, (rewatch analysis, we can also see Aaravos' worm redesign around 0:30-0:31) Callum has some connection to star magic, based on the cube glowing when he walks towards it. Rayla has a small monkey with a relation to star magic. Bait stays with Callum, not Ezran. The mountain towards the start looks awesome. Claudia and (the Skywing elf I forgot the name of) are battling for some reason. Aaravos most likely has some grip over Callum, based on the chess piece shot, Aaravos crushing something in his hand, and then a shot of Callum with black eyes. There are two new things we can see from this trailer. The rider and its dragon being attacked by Rayla; And the strange, possibly Dark Magic related dragon at the very end. And we got a release date, Nov. 3rd. 26 days from the time of writing this, October Eigth. If anyone thinks I missed something, or got something wrong, then reply I guess. Rewatch analysis: The shot of Callum being sad about Rayla leaving must come before the shot of her return, (obviously) but the shot of her attacking the dragon and its rider must come after, as Callum holds one of her swords in the first shot, and she uses both in the last. Callum holds the staff of the Skywing elf who guarded the Storm Spire, so the shot of him at 0:41 must come after the Elf vs. Claudia. Elf vs. Claudia is fought in the Storm Spire treasure room. In the bird shot, we can see Rayla, Callum, Zym, Ezran, and someone else. It's pretty obvious, but there's an earth-related race of golems now in play. Viren dies. There's some sunfire sacrifice that Amaya doesn't seem too happy about. There's a new terrifying monster that Callum hits away. More terrifying monsters in the Zym redesign reveal scene. The Queen of the Dragons does not seem to tolerate the Earth Golems in some way. Rayla fights the Dragon Rider in sunfire terrain.
0:31 we see the hatched familiar to Aaravos that now looks similar to Aaravos and with butterfly wings. 0:39 Aaravos cracks the mirror with a kiss, in a sense breaking the fourth wall of his prison. He might get out.
The dragon at the end is probably Rex Igneous, the archdragon for the Earth primal, and they are probably either searching him out for help, or he is trying to take over as the dragon king from Zym.
that other person next to Callum and the others is Soren in the bird shot. You can tell because of his new redesign. Also we can probably interpret from the staff in Callum's hand and the fact Claudia tried killing the Skywing Mage that the elf is dead and that shot with flowers and a cloth is his funeral......sorry for spoilers if it proves to be true
My fear is that Ibis, the wind Elf Mage who guarded the Storm Spire and served the Queen, might be who that white decorated blanket was for; Paired with the scenes of the fight between him and Claudia, as well as Callum using his staff and some general sad scenes around the decorated blanket that looks very Sky Elf inspired, we might not see him much longer; Which is sad, partly because he's great and I liked him, but, everyone seems to still think everyone trapped in the coins are still dead so who knows.
ah the moment we've been waiting for, rayla! i knew they'd show her eventually lol. i'm so excited i have nothing else to say but this season looks so beautiful. i know we're gonna have a couple of good cries 😭 also, is that a battle between claudia and ibis i see? and it looks like rayla has her own animal companion now. so many questions...
I have a feeling ibis dies because we see Claudia holding a knife over him and later on we see Callum holding Ibis's sky staff thing but I swear if they kill rayla or Callum I'm gonna loose😡

I can't get over how good the music is! I'm so excited to see what this season has in store! Edit: I just noticed that Callum and Rayla reunite in the same room where they had their first conversation! (You can tell by the painting with the lamb. I also believe that this room is probably Callum's study) Oh! and the scene at 0:35 is most likely the same scene where Rayla and Callum reunite, because the moon sign is glowing on the Key of Aaravos! Ooo and I think at 1:16 Soren is in the same cave where he and Claudia cast the spell to find the princes at the end of season 1.
Oh my god, this looks so insanely amazing! Shows like this give me hope that Animation will soon get the respect it deserves, shoulder to shoulder with live action
This series has no right to be so good! At first glance, the animation could be described as a little rough around the edges, but at least in my opinion, the story, worldbuilding, character growth and drama carries it all so freaking well! Also, I rather take this style of animation than artists worked on the verge of their sanity trying to pull off something more detailed or complex, while the story takes the blow from the tight budget. Can't wait to see more of this series!

What are you doing messing with dark magic again! Haven’t you learned your lesson last time?! I thought you were better than that! Rayla told you to stay in the light! She came back! I knew she’d come back! And to think she had doubts she would. Now can he have that kiss?
I honestly don’t think that Callum did that intentionally. I think something is going on with him, plus I think Ibis is gonna die sadly because… why would anyone have his staff? I didn’t see the markings so but it’s weird that Callum has his staff and not himself since it’s his. Also, Claudia is fighting him and it’s giving me vibes that he isn’t gonna make it.
And people say that she deserves a redemption. Yeah, no. No one deserves redemption and from where she's standing, she doesn't get one unless she sacrifices herself.
@@kanduyog1182 Agreed. She's killed and harmed too many creatures and people to be properly redeemed imo. A scene in one of the s4 episodes does show she has some empathy left, but it was only because Terry said he was disappointed in her. I could definitely see a sacrifice from her though

Y'know, at the end of Legend of Korra, when the writers and studio said they weren't going to continue the Avatar franchise (for now) as they wanted to work on "another project", I was extremely disheartened... ...but I'm glad they did. Dragon Prince has been an absolutely wonderful show that's just as good as Avatar was, and I'm so eager to see it continue!

It’s astonishing the lack of boundaries and moral compass Viren has when it comes to his children! He uses both Soren and Claudia to spy on the prince, plot against him and encouraged Soren to kill him! Fast forward, Soren turned on a new leaf, but Claudia… that’s another story! Both her and her father have a very toxic relationship based on validating each other! Even after coming from the dead Viren still has a firm grip on Claudia who by now has been brainwashed by the father to believe “ The end justifies the means “! What a family
Theories and thoughts: -The very first ep will be when Callums bday is -The reason why Zubia (dragon queen) Is coming is to stop Viren -In fact,the speech Ezran gives in this trailer prob him addressing his council about the situation -Callum’s eyes turned black…did he use dark magic? -Something I’m thinking about is how is that Aarovos is changing in his cacoon but we’re also getting scenes of him back in the mirror. Did he go back willingly? -When Ezran,Zym and the others were in those tunnels fighting against monsters,i saw a new character in there. Something is gleaming on their head…a crown? 4/5 of the kingdoms lost their rulers so that would mean their children had to hurry to the thrones so did Ezran make a pal? - I wonder what the whole deal is with that lady with her hands tied in the Sunfire elf kingdom. I thought maybe it was an elf who was seen helping Viren out out a bit,like giving him supply. And the elf is pleading that they’ve got it all wrong,she isn’t helping the mage,simply trying to spy on him.Cause If THATS THE CASE then we could make the assumption other Martyr-y elves could be doing that too and that means TERRY could be spying on Viren for the Earthbloods…but then I saw she was human I wish I had a more speculative mind to come up with a million theories but this I came up with :P CANT WAIT FOR THIS SEASON

I have never ever waited with such patiente, yet with such excitement for any serial, before. Dragon Prince is really ambitious and deep serial, wich can tell a lot about life and our brutal reallity, yet be so fun to watch. Those are the serials, I appreciate the most. I can't wait for the next season and even If I only wached trailer, I know it is gonna be great! 😁 (Also: Aaravos is such well made character. I have never ever seen such great villian character, wich is that innocent looking but at the same time is so dangerous and unpredicable. I hope that other will be inspired by this character and make as great villians as Aaravos - he deserves it)

I mean I could still be wrong but it better matches her horn/hair patterns. 0:53 Also really liking this. She's on the precipice of the moment her father was. He *was* a good person at one point, but his ability to justify his own actions to himself as he went darker and darker ultimately sealed his fate. As their family splits down the middle, _who's side is she on?_
Things I'm really excited for besides everything but these are the top things I'm looking forward to: Zym older and hopefully talking Interactions with the Dragon Queen The relationship between Amaya and Janai Preteen King Ezran Finding out where Rayla has been during the two years and where her relationship with Callum is at Obviously I'm excited for a lot more but those are the top things I'm really eager for this season to dive into!
Thank god they finally show us Rayla. I was afraid they would leave her out for the entire season and ending it on a cliffhanger with her meeting Callum again for the first time in years
The timing of this is great! Just enough of a taste to get hype, and not to long of a wait that it feels like a tease. This is season is about to pop off!
Callum holds Ibis' scepter (staff) and there was a cloth with silver rune that I speculate covers a corpse so it might foreshadowing that he died, and since he fought Claudia this might mean that Aaravos is hidden somewhere in the storm spire.
I think it was implied he's trapped at the Moon Source, since they drew attention to the fact that a huge section of the place is simply....gone, after some massive ritual was performed, and the architecture of the remaining ruins is similar to what we see of the room he's trapped in).

You can see Ibis holding his staff as well as Viren's staff, while Claudia uses Corrupted Sun Elf staff. Sigh. So she will murder the guy. Sad. Another big step that she does in becoming Big Bad Evil :(

Aaravos can be seen holding a small stone figure of Callum at 0:32. This indicates that Aaravos has taken a great interest into the young mage and Callum might be in great danger in this season. It gives me hope for a great hero-villain rivalry between these two characters.
It’s no surprise when you think about it. Both of them are prodigy’s off their own races. Aravos, able to utilise all 6 primal sources, and Callum, the first human to ever forge a connection to a Primal Source. The possibilities for an amazing hero vs villain storyline between these two is incredible

Okay so new theory: What if this really isn't Rayla but a trick/illusion from Aaravos? Aaravos is clearly interested in Callum. OR worse... What if Rayla is somehow under his control by some force of magic or hostage threat... thoughts?

And now she comes back as if she didn't do anything bad, I understand that she left in order to find Viren and to protect Callum, but that doesn't change the fact that she left him and lie to him
Now I don't want them to break up, I seriously hope they don't do that stupid cliché, what I am hoping to see is that Rayla will need to face the consequences of her actions and will need to gain Callum's trust again, and that yes have the two of them work together to get through their relationship that will lead them to grow more mature to love, respect, and cherish one another even more

It's not that humans don't have a primal source. It's that various races of elves and other creatures are born connected to a particular primal source. It's their nature, indicating that those sources probably spawned those specific races of elf or creature.
Humans are the aberration because they're born unconnected, like most mundane living things. The problem nobody understood before, is that it doesn't meant magic is beyond their reach, it means any human can potentially master any and all magics. They're not born with a preexisting connection to any source, so they can forge a connection to any or all sources. Callum is merely the first to do so. Elves can't do it because their whole existence is tied to the source they're born bound to. With no such binding, humans can build a connection to any source.
Callum is just the first. But any human can do it, if they can understand it.

@@KiyokaMakibi So part of the delay was due to COVID, part of the delay was due to threat of cancelation, normally there's about a 6-9 month gap between the seasons and now that they've gotten their production started back up that should be the gap we continue to see up to the end in Season 7
@@earthbloodelf5289 I don't remember the cancelation threat, but the writing team mentioned they flesh out 3 seasons at a time. There were lots of contributing factors that lengthened the delay, but this was also a big one. When the show started, they had plans straight through to season 3, so they didn't need HUGE gaps. But once season 3 finished, there wasn't any direction temporarily, so they had to hash it out.
@@ghostchannel4766 Yeah, there was definitely a point in time where they had to stop production because S4 was an uncertainty, in June or July of 2020 I believe they officially got the go ahead and were able to begin work on it then
Rayla looks so beautiful and grown-up (a womanly glow-up indeed, much akin to Astrid from the "How to Train Your Dragon" franchise. I reckon Callum will have a hard time getting over just how beautiful she is. She's certainly quite shy in describing Callum as looking "nice". She probably thinks he's gorgeous and handsome. 🥰

Callum has some connection to star magic, based on the cube glowing when he walks towards it.
Rayla has a small monkey with a relation to star magic.
Bait stays with Callum, not Ezran.
The mountain towards the start looks awesome.
Claudia and (the Skywing elf I forgot the name of) are battling for some reason.
Aaravos most likely has some grip over Callum, based on the chess piece shot, Aaravos crushing something in his hand, and then a shot of Callum with black eyes.
There are two new things we can see from this trailer. The rider and its dragon being attacked by Rayla; And the strange, possibly Dark Magic related dragon at the very end.
And we got a release date, Nov. 3rd. 26 days from the time of writing this, October Eigth.
If anyone thinks I missed something, or got something wrong, then reply I guess.
Rewatch analysis: The shot of Callum being sad about Rayla leaving must come before the shot of her return, (obviously) but the shot of her attacking the dragon and its rider must come after, as Callum holds one of her swords in the first shot, and she uses both in the last.
Callum holds the staff of the Skywing elf who guarded the Storm Spire, so the shot of him at 0:41 must come after the Elf vs. Claudia.
Elf vs. Claudia is fought in the Storm Spire treasure room.
In the bird shot, we can see Rayla, Callum, Zym, Ezran, and someone else.
It's pretty obvious, but there's an earth-related race of golems now in play.
Viren dies.
There's some sunfire sacrifice that Amaya doesn't seem too happy about.
There's a new terrifying monster that Callum hits away.
More terrifying monsters in the Zym redesign reveal scene.
The Queen of the Dragons does not seem to tolerate the Earth Golems in some way.
Rayla fights the Dragon Rider in sunfire terrain.
0:31 we see the hatched familiar to Aaravos that now looks similar to Aaravos and with butterfly wings.
0:39 Aaravos cracks the mirror with a kiss, in a sense breaking the fourth wall of his prison. He might get out.
The dragon at the end is probably Rex Igneous, the archdragon for the Earth primal, and they are probably either searching him out for help, or he is trying to take over as the dragon king from Zym.
that other person next to Callum and the others is Soren in the bird shot. You can tell because of his new redesign. Also we can probably interpret from the staff in Callum's hand and the fact Claudia tried killing the Skywing Mage that the elf is dead and that shot with flowers and a cloth is his funeral......sorry for spoilers if it proves to be true
My fear is that Ibis, the wind Elf Mage who guarded the Storm Spire and served the Queen, might be who that white decorated blanket was for; Paired with the scenes of the fight between him and Claudia, as well as Callum using his staff and some general sad scenes around the decorated blanket that looks very Sky Elf inspired, we might not see him much longer; Which is sad, partly because he's great and I liked him, but, everyone seems to still think everyone trapped in the coins are still dead so who knows.
We can also see shots of Rayla with everyone in the dark tunnels

I also believe that this room is probably Callum's study) Oh! and the scene at 0:35 is most likely the same scene where Rayla and Callum reunite, because the moon sign is glowing on the Key of Aaravos! Ooo and I think at 1:16 Soren is in the same cave where he and Claudia cast the spell to find the princes at the end of season 1.

At first glance, the animation could be described as a little rough around the edges, but at least in my opinion, the story, worldbuilding, character growth and drama carries it all so freaking well! Also, I rather take this style of animation than artists worked on the verge of their sanity trying to pull off something more detailed or complex, while the story takes the blow from the tight budget.
Can't wait to see more of this series!

Y'know, at the end of Legend of Korra, when the writers and studio said they weren't going to continue the Avatar franchise (for now) as they wanted to work on "another project", I was extremely disheartened...
...but I'm glad they did. Dragon Prince has been an absolutely wonderful show that's just as good as Avatar was, and I'm so eager to see it continue!

He uses both Soren and Claudia to spy on the prince, plot against him and encouraged Soren to kill him! Fast forward, Soren turned on a new leaf, but Claudia… that’s another story! Both her and her father have a very toxic relationship based on validating each other! Even after coming from the dead Viren still has a firm grip on Claudia who by now has been brainwashed by the father to believe “ The end justifies the means “! What a family

I have never ever waited with such patiente, yet with such excitement for any serial, before. Dragon Prince is really ambitious and deep serial, wich can tell a lot about life and our brutal reallity, yet be so fun to watch. Those are the serials, I appreciate the most.
I can't wait for the next season and even If I only wached trailer, I know it is gonna be great! 😁
(Also: Aaravos is such well made character. I have never ever seen such great villian character, wich is that innocent looking but at the same time is so dangerous and unpredicable. I hope that other will be inspired by this character and make as great villians as Aaravos - he deserves it)

Can't wait to see what Aaravos has in store for our heroes and whether or not Rayla will figure out what truly happened to Runaan and her parents!

Obviously I'm excited for a lot more but those are the top things I'm really eager for this season to dive into!

Thank god they finally show us Rayla. I was afraid they would leave her out for the entire season and ending it on a cliffhanger with her meeting Callum again for the first time in years

The timing of this is great! Just enough of a taste to get hype, and not to long of a wait that it feels like a tease. This is season is about to pop off!
I was so worried about Bait not showing in any of the clips for season 4 but now we know he is still alive. Hallelujah
Callum holds Ibis' scepter (staff) and there was a cloth with silver rune that I speculate covers a corpse so it might foreshadowing that he died, and since he fought Claudia this might mean that Aaravos is hidden somewhere in the storm spire.
I think it was implied he's trapped at the Moon Source, since they drew attention to the fact that a huge section of the place is simply....gone, after some massive ritual was performed, and the architecture of the remaining ruins is similar to what we see of the room he's trapped in).
The soundtrack is just out of this world! I love it😍
