you found a good channel to learn through, I highly reccomend tuning into one of his streams if you have the time. Alex is always very good at responding to chat and if he misses something, someone else in the chat will happily answer any questions you have. Welcome to the hobby!
The board sounds great! I really like HMX. I find a lot of their current offerings have a brighter sound, which personally I’m a fan of. Either way though it’s exciting to see a new name in town with excellent factory lubrication at such a competitive price.
Yours sounds the most pleasing out of the four HMX videos i've watched. Yours also sounds better than the other aluminum that pops up at the top of YT search at the time of writing.
HMX switches have been a pleasant surprise to me. I got the HMX Sillyworks Hyacinth V2U and they're amazing. 3.9mm travel so it's not as loud as the V2 which has a 3.5mm travel.
@@KeebClack I haven't tried all of them. Just the Hyacinth V2U. I like that the HMX examples I've heard have some beautiful high pitch clack to it. Certain sound signature that sounds nice. They have variations to their pole length, which produce slightly different sound and loudness. I think the manufacturing is pretty consistent it seems.
So glad you linked keybay, thought these were sold out and only sold on unikeys - just picked up 90 of these cheesy guys, can't wait. Awesome build and vid. And yes HMX switches are legit
They were 100% not sold out when I made the video! Although I think they only had like 10 sets left to be fair, but I am glad another vendor had them in stock!
I am so happy to see your personal stuff. HMX switches are nuts. Very surprising to see a new manufacturer just nearly perfrect the stock experience. I’m one of the crazies who like lubing switches but it’s nice to have a good lazy switch I can pick up just in case
Hearing from many folks, not just Alex that HMX has really tight housings as well as the great factory lube... glad companies are stepping up. No more need to film and lube is appreciated. I just recently got BSUN Xs in after loving both the Bolsa Lagunas and the BSUN Sunset Yellows... on that BSUN train lately after being disappointed by some of the newer Gateron releases.
@@alexotos Thank you for the info. They could've at least sent a "winners have been selected" email to the rest of us, I even subscribed separately on the news mailing list :'(
Just picked up some cheese switches and probably going to get them in my Bauer Lite as the Aqua Kings I have in there right now are a little underwhelming.
my favorite long pole switch right now is Strawberry Wine by bsun. my favorite regular pole switch is tie a between Oil Kings and v1s. gotta try these hmx switches.
I'm very surprised by HMX switches as well. They're dirt cheap! I picked up the SW x HMX Garnet's and man the factory lube job is insane and they sound great!
Haven't seen many builds in the past month that DIDN'T use HMX switches. Still trying to figure out what exactly the hype is. Idk if this is just genious marketing by HMX to get so many creators on board, or if they are actually good switches. A decent factory lube job isn't exactly as rare these days as it used to be - I've had super consistent lube on my current go-to Aflion switches too. Hopefully HMX makes some switches that aren't so damn clacky tho. I love me some long-poles, but that pronounced bottom-out is just way too harsh on a clacky build imho. I'm building keyboards, not headaches
Been hearing people talk about HMX and I've been wondering about them. Thanks for the video!
Hey man. Just found your channel and it's been amazing! I don't know much about keyboards but, I'm learning through your content.
Welcome aboard! I am so glad my content is a good learning tool for you! I really appreciate these kind words!

I love how we can already see your new years resolution in effect with the LY stems.
HE FOUND THE HMX SWITCHES, Next I recommend macchiatos or sky blues, they have an interesting sound signature.
Review and build of Neo80 coming soon?
Hey Alex! That red cable in the thumbnail looks stunnin', could you tell me which one is it? Thanks!
try the rainy 75 my guy
Have you tried the gateron summertimes? If you have, how would you compare them to the cheese?
Best all around switch for me r/n: WS Quartz
My next switch in in my next board?
Any switch regular stem sized switches recommendation? I’m really love using cherry mx switches
US vendor for HMX switches?
What is the keycap set on the board with the "Fuck Off" enter key?
Gmk boneyard. The fuck off cap js not part of boneyard though, that is from drop
Bolsa Supply Laguna Blue switches go kinda hard for me right now
bsun hutts have been my favorite lately
Do you have any information about the Event Horizon? Raffle ended weeks ago but no information about the winners yet
Winners are usually emailed, I've seen a lot of people state they got their win email!

I updated it, it seems like the brand I loved using these boxes from are sold out and sold through of their medium storage boxes.
