Want to play a near perfect reproduction of the now incredibly dated but still ludicrously addictive TV game show? Well, Sony's gotcha pretty well covered.
Yeah, but I think for a lot of people they'd sick to what's familar, you know? It's based on it, but without Regis a lot of Americans wouldn't see it as the same thing.
There have been five hosts since the U.S. version premiered in 1999: Regis Philbin, Meredith Vieira, Cedric the Entertainer, Terry Crews and currently Chris Harrison.
0:34-0:57, "Last time on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?: (insert clips of previous episode) Now, join us from New York as we play Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (Applause) Thank you! Thank you! Thank you very much! Good evening and welcome to Wednesday night of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. Over the past two weeks, we have seen not one, but two contestants miss the first question of the game, one contestant miss the $500,000 Question, three contestants miss the $1,000 and $32,000 questions, one contestant use all three lifelines on the first question, and one contestant get past the $32,000 milestone without using a single lifeline, and that's why he's here with us in the hot seat. Please welcome Matt Cramer from Boston, MA!"-Regis Philbin.
I always thought it was funny how in the video game Regis was acting so rude and obnoxious on the early questions considering in real life he's a very good host and an even better human being
I'm not sure if this is a coincidence or not, but I think these games foreshadowed the eventual clock format that would be used on the syndicated version.
To me the clock really shows how great a host Regis was. It was so entertaining hearing him go back and forth with contests for a few minutes on a question. I feel like its ok to have a clock for the first 7-8 questions is ok, but towards the end the contestants should have more time, to stew over it.
There was a 1st Edition released for the PC. As far as I'm concerned, the edition numbers are largely based on their question sets; thus the PC, GBC, and PS1 ports of the 2nd Edition have identical question sets.
The load times in this version slows the game down. Stick with the PC and Dreamcast versions. Even the GBC version plays smooth, and THAT is a handheld.
You rock at Who Wants To Be a Millionaire 2nd Edition in 🎮 form. PLEASE upload Who Wants To Be a Millionaire Kids Edition, Sports Edition and 3rd Edition when you get a chance which are reserved for PlayStation. No rush! 👏🏻
Oh boy This is it You just won a half million dollars We’re going now for the million. I have a feeling you might be using that ask the audience to your advantage, which is always good Just a friendly reminder. You can walk away if you don’t have an idea. But if you go and miss, you lose $468,000 bringing you down to 32
3:08, "Matt, you just missed the $125,000 Question, but you're leaving with $32,000! Don't spend it all in one place! Awwwww, what a heartbreaker for Matt. Matt had the correct answer locked in, but the lying commoner changed the answer, and that mistake cost him a chance to win $125,000, and that was tragic. Now, back to business. We got ten new contestants from all over the country. Who are they tonight? Let's find out. They are: -Tom Kerrigan from Denver, CO -Nancy Fredholm from Hudson, NH -Josh Thorne from Louisville, KY -Barbara Hoyt from Phoenix, AZ -Kathy Culver from Stamford, CT -Alex Florentine from Chicago, IL -David Monk from Seattle, WA -Jill Rodgers from Dallas, TX -Charlie Dinsmore from Orlando, FL ...and... -Mick Ramone from Queens, NY!
16:34 Oh come on!😜 I’ve won 15 questions give me my real check Money!😂😏lol (of course can’t actually get 💴 it thru PC game… ending was just a comedy gag😏🤣) Rip Regis Philbin the original 🇺🇸 Host
By the time Super Millionaire was out, I wish the later installments of WWTBAM used the newer lifelines like double dip. That would've been great to see. I also think they should've added an option where you could customize the time on the clock for the questions.
Never noticed it till reading your description but there are Question marks in the logo but none on the question itself...and now it's bugging ME too...
For the half a million and the million that had to be the most two easiest questions ever. They were not even hard and I’m from Scotland and when I saw the million dollar question I was like are you for real lol
15:42-19:09, "I'm gonna say B: Thistle."-Alex. "Is that your final answer?"-Regis. "Yes."-Alex. "Alex, you came all the way from the Windy City, you called to be a contestant, and now, get ready to smile for the camera, because... YOU JUST WON A MILLION DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"-Regis. (Audience cheers wildly and fanfare plays) (Fast forward to end of episode) "...you just got $1,000!"-Regis. (Time's Up horns play) "Well, that sound means that we're outta time for tonight, but Tom will be back tomorrow night and joining him will be ten new players from all over the country, and they are... (ten players introduced). (Regis plugs The Who Wants to Be a Millionaire CD-ROM game) Telephone qualifying is now open for the September 18, 19, 20 and 23 editions of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. (Regis plugs phone number) There's a limit of one call per household and the phone lines close on June 19th. Stay tuned now for The Practice, here on ABC. We'll see you back here tomorrow night with Tom Kerrigan at 8:00pm Eastern/7:00pm Central! From New York, everybody, goodnight!"

@NintendoComplete
Do you like Elmo?
@Adam Demeter And PAL UK has Chris Tarrant in it.
Think there'll be versions of the game with Jeremy Clarkson, now that he's hosting it?

R.I.P Regis Philbin. :'(
R.I.P.😭

I always thought it was funny how in the video game Regis was acting so rude and obnoxious on the early questions considering in real life he's a very good host and an even better human being
The only reason to play these games are for Regis' passive-aggressiveness. I remember playing this with a friend just for his reactions. lol
This game was developed by the same people who made *YOU DON'T KNOW JACK!*
Same for Alex Trebek, Pat Sajak, Vanna White, Paul Reubens....
Much the same reason I play Pebble Beach on the Saturn. Just can't get enough of Craig Stadler's slurred quips.
@@daltonpaulvideos if you put his name in the name spot his reaction is funny
R.I.P. Regis Philbin, who is probably hanging out with Alex Trebek in Heaven.
Do you think that they’re hosting quiz shows in a ☁️y place that good people go to when they croak?
I'm not sure if this is a coincidence or not, but I think these games foreshadowed the eventual clock format that would be used on the syndicated version.
Syndicated?

I miss you Regis already!

thank you so much for explaining that. i was wondering if gbc and playstation would have the same questions
RIP Regis Philbin
Yup 😢😢
The load times in this version slows the game down. Stick with the PC and Dreamcast versions. Even the GBC version plays smooth, and THAT is a handheld.
"I didn't want to see the second question anyway, who needs it?"

Regis philbin remembers in a motion capture game of who want to be a millionaire.
