Such a shame to see the event went south. Hope this doesn’t bring you down too bad… definitely bummed to see and hear of tons of work being done to get to this point just to fail so quickly man. At least you planned to go to afterwork instead of some bigger event like tomodori or something, however it’s great to see you still being excited to japan and i bet that will give you more then enough excitement and motivation for the rs13! Hoping stuff goes your way in japan this time and excited to come take some nice pictures of the rs13
It was definitely a hit to the motivation but the more I think about what could have went wrong I think it’s my fault. I will be looking into it this week hopefully 🤞 Exactly that! It’s still not cheap but it’s a lot cheaper than driving 7 hours to France or something. I cannot wait for Japan. I love my JZX and I have the parts to get the s15 dialed now :) I hope to get it running and one colour again ASAP! Then all the pictures 🥰🥰
Hi there mate, I'm new to your channel. At the end of the video you mention IC pipes popping off then you proceed to show your hot side pipe which seems to have no beads rolled on which would be necessary for higher boost. Not sure about your breather setup either. I can't really see but I'm suspecting your catch can isn't vented or recirculated even though both of your valve covers connected to it. This is wrong and will build crankcase pressure which causes smoking. You either have to vent to atmosphere or recirculate after the maf. Coolant issues could be air in the system since CA-s are a pain to bleed. If you can, buy the funnel kit which you can attach to your radiator , overfill and raise the cars front end as much as you can... even like that it could take ages to bleed these engines. I hope you won't see this as I'm trying to lecture you, rather as some help and advice. Have a great one buddy and don't give up. Subscribed.
Hello 👋 Yea this is definitely something I need to do! I thought with the small bead of weld and roughing the surface would be enough but now we will bead roll or build up some bigger welds :) The more I think about it my breather set up it is clearly wrong and terrible. It’s nice to read what you have written as it starts to confirm my mistakes.. I hope I haven’t done any major damages.. 😅 The bleeding of the rad issues I have never heard of with CA but I will definitely pay more attention to this and I have now ordered the funnel kit you mentioned. I will always take comments/tips and tricks from anyone. Even if it is the simplest of suggestions sometimes I miss or forget to check. Thanks for taking your time to help ❤️ I’ll hopefully have an update soon
In other news: viewers are stocked to learn that the s13 saga continue, swiss drift fans are eupohoric to learn that there are events they can attend, and everybody is emphatic about how cramed it is in our country to do anything.
This is a pretty positive breakdown! I like it! There are a couple of cool events in Switzerland. My favorite track in Switzerland has to be seilisberg 🤯 it’s a mind blowing track up in the mountains. It definitely is difficult to do anything car related but it’s still a great country
Its hard to see in the video but it kinda looks like your catch can is a sealed system with only the two hoses going in to it. Rocker cover and sump??? Ie youre pressurising your sump as nowhere for it to breathe, so turbo oil drain cant function, so turbo high pressure oil feed has nowhere to go but thru the turbo seals and in to your intake and intercooler. Tee the two hoses together, then run the now spare barb on the catch can to your intake pipe preturbo.
Yea I totally agree with you! I made a pressure vessel 😑😑 I actually never meant to run it like this and on a previous video someone questioned this and I was meaning to modify it. I was also in the mean time going to do what you said and T it off.. sadly due to other stresses I forgot like an idiot.. I really appreciate the comment tho! Until someone else mentioned it I completely forgot I done the dumb dumb 😳

Ive run that style of catch can before on a SR and it couldn't cope with the extra breathing demands of e85, would fill up almost immediately. so had to convert to twin welded an10 on the covers to a twin an10 entry raceworks catch can. But I think you run pump 98 right? So shouldnt be an issue

bit of speed tape and a lump hammer adjustment, it will do a trip mate.
