World of Warships - Quick Cut: Tier X Premium Italian Battleship Ruggiero di Lauria

- I genuinely had no idea what to expect when I swapped to my press account for a look at Tier X Premium Italian battleship Ruggiero di Lauria. 457mm SAP sounds terrifying, and it turns out it kind of is. di Lauria herself, though, is a bit of an anomaly. My first game ends in abject disaster, in which I learn just how fragile this ship really is. Game #2 goes much better and has some surprising salvos.

With R d Lauria's dispersion it made me think this ship is like a T10 Roma
It is (hilariously) more consistent than Roma thus far. The SAP helps a lot in that regard.
I really like the Italian ships because they're not easy to play, so the dopamine hits harder when you get a good game, or maybe because I'm just insane to torture myself like that.
The Regia Marina ships get a bad rap, I think. They are - in general - pretty solid. I despise the top end of the battleship line, but genuinely enjoy most of the rest.
This is my exact thought on the RM. Easy concept, tough to play, hard to master, but the wins feel much bigger.
@SeaRaptor for a good laugh, Columbo 2ndry build is surprisingly good. Rush in, make sure someone's spotting, smoke up, and let them go to town 😂
You know, I appreciate that you realize that not everybody is swimming in 21 point captains. I myself only have four 21 point captains in total. Funnily enough, though, due to how much I play Venezia, Sansonetti happens to be one of those four!
You make me want to play this game again.. yuet I am so like.. I know I'm going to eventually hate myself if I do.. but .... ARGH! I want to play again!
Old-ish video I know, but I'm debating on whether to get this thing when it drops for real or Incomparable for my next steel ship, which one of the two is more fun to play?
Incomparable, IMHO. She's easier to understand - big guns, much stealth, go hunt cruisers LUL - and more interesting.

I think it's decent steel ship. Not like Stalingrad or Bourgogne but may be your third steel ship ...
