Same glitch happened to me, went to meditate and regen spells, character sat down, never started the meditation and then just no matter what I pressed would not stand up until storm came and i just backed out smh

Investing in arrows already feels kinda meh for players that aren't that good so taking away traps I think would be overkill.

@@MrZerk815 rangers can cheese every npc in every dungeon. Idk if putting a small gold drain on them is really that bad It's not as though traps are as necessary as arrows. Run the slow arrow perk and you can still easily kite players.

It doesn't need to be exacerbated by adding traps to be another thing to buy. With their main damage coming from a limited resource and their melee capabilities being subpar, I don't think taking the traps away would be a good idea at all. Besides, traps are easy to avoid in PvP if you just pay attention to where you're walking if you know you're dealing with a Ranger. Tldr: adding another gold cost to Rangers just to feel like a full class is a bad idea. Imo

I respect that y'all have those top 50 lobbies of sweats but 90% of the lobbies aren't like that, they don't have some master barb with 30 throwing axes and a meta build around it, or invis rouges that can 3 shot you or a Wizard that wipes your team through a door. We have 70% damage reduction fighters going in buff balled from a cleric and a bard, we have rangers chunking you for half from a football field away with their stupid longbows, trapping you and killing you effortlessly with their equally great melee kits, people just straight up stat checking you in fights and making them into a left click "let the math work out" battles, purple kit highrollers coming in and "clubbing seals" as the discord puts it. And I don't want this twisted, you guys are amazing, you're insane gamers and you care about this game truckloads more than a casual player and I don't ever want to make that fact seem otherwise. It's just that I wish the Dev's didn't watch you guys as much as we did because the decisions they make, just like you said, are seemingly based on the top lobbies and not average lobbies. One thing I have seen nobody talk about is making the beyond annoying mummy spiders into enemy's you can walk through, because even in Dungeons and Dragons, you can move past Small creatures, you're just slow. I honestly think ranger is fine except for their slow. I think it should have the duration on arrows halved or removed. Longbow quickshot is also broken but baby steps.
@RockieTD I agree with the movement part. Getting rid of the slow when you hit a player would be fine, after all they have a perk to add a slow effect. However the triple shot damage on longbow is needed as long as fighter can go up to 85% damage reduction. Literally without tripleshot longbow, a Ranger would never kill a fighter stacking damage reduction.

Ranger got a physical pen increase on that same patch too.. to this day the only class that hasn’t been touched since the play test is the ranger.

Every class is getting worked with and for the most part nerfed, except ranger, and rougue got little nerf but first hit out of stealth with gear will still kill any class except barb or fighter with gear, they may nerf ranger when you guys play because you give them attention but at the same time the have been needing attention.

Yeah, I got shot once by a geared Ranger last night and was at half health. I was solo, so all it took for that 3 man to rid themselves of my presence, was a single click that I can't dodge. Well... I guess I will go sit in a corner for a half hour until I'm healthy enough to fight again. This, is the Dark and Darker solo experience :(
I dnt even think the classes were as much of an issue as everyone still just stacking +all stat gear running around with 25+ in all stats like WoW twinks from vanilla

I just started playing bard today and I’m already doing better on him than my main he’s pretty crazy now imo I can only imagine how crazy he was pre nerfs.
This game has serious balance issues. I don’t even enjoy playing anymore. just watching now. Rogues are also so noob and user friendly as well when it comes to being stock at lower levels.
The speed cap should of been class dependent so barbs should have a lower capnof speed as they are supposed to be slower then light class cap fighter barb claric at 300 rogue at 350 while ranger is like 340 with bard and wiz is like 325 then they cant have a scuffed fight were barbs are out pacing a class that needs to outpace to survive
Speed cap is fine but 350 is basically just normalizing speed. Everyone can be the same speed except cleric and fighter unless they have speed shrine and I don't think that makes much sense

I loved this game when I was playing the beta but with it not being on steam and their balance decisions, especially on ranger and rogue, just makes me totally uninterested in getting it for now. I struggled as a baby wizard main (I made it out only a handful of times as wizard) in the beta and I know I'll struggle even worse now 💀 Granted I only ever played goblin caves solo but still. Rogue,Ranger and Fighter play completely different games compared to Wizard especially with base kit. I still love watching your wizard gameplay but I'mma sit this game out till they balance things a bit better hopefully lmao. I'm having too much fun with Baldur's gate 3 atm :D
Bro if u truly care about the game and enjoyed it, just buy it.. Its 35 bucks literally half of current AAA games like Starfield on the market. Wizards are still strong, base wizard with only grey spellbook can literally kill juiced players 1v1.. But I can understand ur frustrations with the balance changes they've been doing, but we also gotta think from their pov its still early access, heck the talent tree hasn't even been freaking released. Once that comes out just imagine all the diverse builds and possibilities that can happen with it. I for one bought it out of support and love for the Ironmace team, and I def dont hardcore grind it as much as playtest, but it's still a fun game to hop on play couple matches and have a good time. Also could try looking for groups, wizards in trios is a fun time I hear. 🍻
The game is balanced towards ultra-nerds with souped-up gear, not towards new players or solo players. The Devs also handle the Ranger with white gloves on because of personal bias.
After reading the comments here and on Reddit: bruh.... Imagine infinitely whining about any team comp, class, perk, skill but at the same time not honing your skill. That is a certified cringe. Just stop playing the game. The game isn't balanced - right. But all the classes have broken things, which is normal because the gameplay on any of the classes is crucially different. You and many other people shouldn't constantly yell on reddit or discord that devs should nerf *insert class name*. They need to gradually change the combat system as itself not being oriented on only several classes only. Basically, the stat system is bullshit. It is a good thing imo. One team being able to clear through the whole lobby should just not be a thing.
Every class is getting worked with and for the most part nerfed, except ranger, and rougue got little nerf but first hit out of stealth with gear will still kill any class except barb or fighter with gear, they may nerf ranger when you guys play because you give them attention but at the same time the have been needing attention.

Nerfing wiz but not touching the bullshit crossbow / longbow ranger. Fire ball damage from 1 arrow is balanced but the slow as shit fireballs with 5 casts max is too good.
Yeah, I got shot once by a geared Ranger last night and was at half health.
I was solo, so all it took for that 3 man to rid themselves of my presence, was a single click that I can't dodge.
Well... I guess I will go sit in a corner for a half hour until I'm healthy enough to fight again.

I just started playing bard today and I’m already doing better on him than my main he’s pretty crazy now imo I can only imagine how crazy he was pre nerfs.

Problem is the rush meta, the hast + invis on a rogue or barb.
What they should do is just make those only self buff.
This game has serious balance issues. I don’t even enjoy playing anymore. just watching now. Rogues are also so noob and user friendly as well when it comes to being stock at lower levels.
The speed cap should of been class dependent so barbs should have a lower capnof speed as they are supposed to be slower then light class cap fighter barb claric at 300 rogue at 350 while ranger is like 340 with bard and wiz is like 325 then they cant have a scuffed fight were barbs are out pacing a class that needs to outpace to survive
Speed cap is fine but 350 is basically just normalizing speed. Everyone can be the same speed except cleric and fighter unless they have speed shrine and I don't think that makes much sense

I loved this game when I was playing the beta but with it not being on steam and their balance decisions, especially on ranger and rogue, just makes me totally uninterested in getting it for now. I struggled as a baby wizard main (I made it out only a handful of times as wizard) in the beta and I know I'll struggle even worse now 💀 Granted I only ever played goblin caves solo but still.
Rogue,Ranger and Fighter play completely different games compared to Wizard especially with base kit.
I still love watching your wizard gameplay but I'mma sit this game out till they balance things a bit better hopefully lmao. I'm having too much fun with Baldur's gate 3 atm :D

Bro if u truly care about the game and enjoyed it, just buy it.. Its 35 bucks literally half of current AAA games like Starfield on the market. Wizards are still strong, base wizard with only grey spellbook can literally kill juiced players 1v1..
But I can understand ur frustrations with the balance changes they've been doing, but we also gotta think from their pov its still early access, heck the talent tree hasn't even been freaking released. Once that comes out just imagine all the diverse builds and possibilities that can happen with it.
I for one bought it out of support and love for the Ironmace team, and I def dont hardcore grind it as much as playtest, but it's still a fun game to hop on play couple matches and have a good time.
Also could try looking for groups, wizards in trios is a fun time I hear. 🍻

The game is balanced towards ultra-nerds with souped-up gear, not towards new players or solo players.
The Devs also handle the Ranger with white gloves on because of personal bias.

That is a certified cringe. Just stop playing the game. The game isn't balanced - right. But all the classes have broken things, which is normal because the gameplay on any of the classes is crucially different. You and many other people shouldn't constantly yell on reddit or discord that devs should nerf *insert class name*. They need to gradually change the combat system as itself not being oriented on only several classes only.
Basically, the stat system is bullshit. If they nerf wizard's damage scaling, they also need to nerf scaling of other classes.
