Here is an insane Goblin Caves run in Dark and darker. Was not expecting such a geared player to turn up. We also only had the default magic staff on Wizard. After selling the loot we dive into a high roller pretty geared.

to be fair naked wizards destroy full plates it's not even funny. that guy would probably have lived if he had a templar amor and only plate helm and legs

@@pinkteacrotchdweller6869 Maybe full plate fighters, but that is deserved since they can get up to 85% phys dmg reduction easily. The cleric chose to take negative magic res by going full rubysilver, which was kind of a stupid move.

few games made me full of adrenaline like DaD does. i had a very similar moment in GC, killing a lobster fighter as a pretty much naked wizard. i couldnt stop shaking,heart was pounding. i killed the dude and had the sneakiest walk to a portal ever. fucking love this game.
yea i mainly spend my time doing Hero to Zero runs and just get my asshole fucked every game.
This game is a serious adrenaline rush. Soo many. So many crazy moments. I got invisa barb'd and nearly had a stroke

@@Midwestemoisme lol no. He took 1 fireball and had to desperately heal himself for the rest of the fight. If he went head first he would just pop haste then run away while zapping him out. Wizard is insanely OP right now lol. Literally nothing you can do against a somewhat competent wizard.
Seeing rubysilvers getting splatted never fails to bring a tear to my eye.
game has a really good balance they are way stronger but also risk WAY more so its like 75% chance they win but they are betting your 100g vs their 2kg i dont hate on them for doing it its great to see a big potential payday imo

Yeah but ruby player was pretty bad, the fact wizard got off a fireball before he even knew what was happening is poor play.
Scarier than a fighter for a wizard, due to cleric's natural 30 will minimizing damage to spells
He panicked hard and misplayed. He should have been poking with holy strike and each one did almost half my hp.
I think fighteris more scary if thay have crossbow.
@@ratt8747let them shoot one arrow, pray it doesn't hit. Get within spell range, But not too close, win. Don't give them an opportunity to reload. And if you have no choice, ex they have a door, just back off.
Something similar to this happened to me the other day, I was running barb in goblin caves with default gear and a grey felling axe, I found a full lobster fighter with a longsword while I had a protection shrine and had found a blue protection pot, the poor lad all-in'd me and just got 4 tapped to the head. It's not like I outskilled him, I just happened to have a bunch of random buffs on me and I had nothing to lose. Made it out, quickly realized the gear had some of the worst rolls I had seen on rubysilver. Now, it sits in my fighter's stash, never to be seen in game again.
I dont get the obsession with ruby silver i got a fine cuirass in blue with more armor and better rolls than my ruby chest only cost 200g too.
I had a great time this past week running goblins with my ruby set on cleric, got into a few sticky situations like this. Thankfully didn’t lose the gear until I went into ruins
We did love our horseman axes. But not anymore

To be fair, There's nothing indicating that GC is supposed to be some "Beginner" haven. It's the solo queue. Bringing in tons of gear to GC is more justified than bringing a geared 3 stack into Normal Crypts with the intent to clear lobbies. Those people are comically pathetic.

@@Rumpled4skin95 You absolutely do not need gear to kill literally anything in Goblin Caves or HR Goblin Caves. Centipede: Crouch and circle with literally any weapon you will kill it every time and never be struck. Worm DONT CROUCH and circle with a fast (-15 or less) weapon, you will never be struck and kill it every time. Guardian: Attack after Shield Slam, you will never be struck and kill it 100% of the time.

he played like an RMT'er. you can always tell because their skill level is so low compared to their gear.
also most good rolled rubysilver will sell for around 1k.

out of anything, I don't really think much classes other than Warlock need nerfs rn, what they should focus on is the HP bullshit, like with people literally having half of their inventories full of meds. max should be 3 potions of healing / 3-4 bandages and 3-4 clarity pots that you can take in, whatever you find in raid is fair game

Horseman axe got hella nerfed with recent barb nerf. Switching the 5 bonus damage to 10% favours higher base damage builds and the slower attack speed of the horseman makes it not amazing. I was maining barb when it hit and it def needed it. With just that axe i could clear 95% of people in regular goblin caves

I literally ran into the same scenario last night, but it was a ruby silver rouge and he somehow went invis and covered a lot of distance to hit me…. I thought the invis goes away when you move but apparently these guys are able to invis and move like 6-10 feet…..

@@mikahoolwerff3563fighter can wield any weapon. Crystal sword does lots of magic damage. Therefore it’s strong against plate vs plate fights
@@Bamblagram but it only does like 16 magic dmg and u wont be increasing it with aditional magic dmg stats.

Thats only 34 dmg per swing with half of that being good pen.
Compared to a longsword reaching upwards of 50 per swing and getting more value outta your stats.
Even with the magic damage, I reckon youd be far better of not taking a fat dmg penalty and worse stat usage by just using an arming or falchion or something.
Hell, even the classes that stack magic dmg like wiz and warlock will usually still opt for longswords or rondels (unless wiz gets some 3 all, 3 magic mldmg 2 weapon dmg crystal)
@@mikahoolwerff3563 I won't read all that but you look for +magic damage on your gear. You can easily get up to ~30 Magic damage per swing on Crystal sword. There's videos on the build. It's obviously not meta but it's pretty cool and can be effective
@bamblagram I had +2 or 3 magic damage on all my gear so I was hitting for about 30 physical dmg and 54 magic

because wizards base damage is crazy high. He took 1 fireball straight on and splash for a second and spent the rest of the fight trying to heal up. Tried to go after him but haste made that impossible. Then it's all over

he has a spell as well that does 1/2 his hp, also he has judgement etc. Bro just panicked and tried to buff up or some shit first.. legit once in a lifetime opportunity. Anybody wearing full rubysilver already has a huge disadvantage against wizards given how low their magic resistance is so wizards are a natural counter to anybody wearing rubysilver... This happens quite a lot given those facts and the cleric didn't play it "so perfectly bad" he was healing himself so he didn't die. If he played it "so perfectly bad" he wouldn't have healed at all and died 3-4 spells earlier...

He took 1 fireball and splash from the second and spent the rest of the fight desperately trying to heal up. If it was a fighter in his stead he would have died legit 8 seconds into the fight on his 2. zap, if not on the first. The damage is insane because nobody has any magic resistance.. Any other naked grey weapon class would have to hit that guy 12 times to kill him wizard just has to fireball him twice lol. A geared wizard would probably one shot him lol

i play barb a lot, and achilles strike is just pure garbage now :D even if you run it maybe takes 15-30 damage, and by the time I as a Barb come close to you, the weapon draw slows me down so much that hitting you is impossible when you have a 2handed weapon. still dont know what else you gonna pick instead of it, i changed to reckless attack so you at least can fight a geared fighter with lots of AR, but damn, all options besides the roar seem garbage now. you can see it in the trading posts, barb stuff going so cheap bec all barbs are bankrupt :D
