    Hello Nathan,
what’s your opinion on breathing during high intensity running? I’m especially interested in breathing technique while running a competitive half marathon. I’m curious of what was particularly your technique during breaking your Marathon or HM PBs? Did you focus on nose breathing? Did you avoid breathing trough your mouth?
Also I have noticed that some elite runners such as Kipchoge can cover the whole 42.1km with his mouth closed and exploiting nose breathing in and out for all the duration and of course still be the best in the world at this event.
    What’s your view on that?
Thanks for creating all of your content which I find very helpful as I am constantly building up my endurance.

Hey Igor. Hope all is well on your end. I breathe through my mouth when running but do know others are nose breathers. I wouldn't recommend changing any of this up as you have to train and compete the way you feel most comfortable with. I would always focus on monitoring my muscle tension when racing. The face and shoulder muscles are usually the first to tense up so consciously telling yourself to stay relaxed can help. Keep me updated on your progress.
