You should try Sorriso in Astoria, I was born and raised in Brooklyn and I had so many chicken parm sandwiches, they literally have the best one hands down. I've been going there for 8 years specifically for the chicken parm sandwich. They're a small Italian own family business they make everything in house, the bread, the sauce, the mozzarella cheese to the bread crumbs on the chicken. I think you wouldn't be disappointed at all.

They be at the smorgaburg every weekend in the warm months. They seem to only do cheese steaks there tho. I have to travel to the actual location soon

I grew up in New York, and also lived outside of Philadelphia. It looks good although I don’t eat pork or beef I would definitely try that chicken sandwich if I return to visit. Thanks for sharing.🙏🏽

I agree. I'm a west coast guy but got to know a guy originally from Philly that moved to Cali, who I found to be a very cool person. JL like me is Asian born and raised in the US so 95 percent of what he shows and eats are foods I would eat as well. The food from Philly is so my kind of my grub.

They look well stacked but leave a great deal to be desired in reference to length for the price.

That cheesesteak looked fire… I’m in Richmond Va.. and only once in a while I get a great cheesesteak .. most of the time they are just average.. I have been to Philly once for the sole purpose of trying a cheesesteak .. I went to Max’s.. and I rated that just a lil better than average… they say the best ones in Philly are from random corner store type places… I need to know the name and location of one of those stores so I can go there next time…
Side note.. I remember my first time hearing of a cheesesteak.. I was in Baltimore… didn’t know what it was when my cousin and brother were talking about it.. I pictured a whole piece of steak with cheese on top

Hey JL. That medium Italian looks like it’s big because it’s mad lettuce 🥬 & tomato which I don’t mind. Like minimum meat and moist. The 2nd pork looks plentiful compared to the Italian. Can see the juices dripping. The 3rd cheesesteak has enough meat but does it have enough onions and I like peppers 🫑 too. You say legit Philly but something’s missing. You gave an 8.4 rating. Thanks for sharing.

Defonte's sandwich house in Bklyn has a good italian sandwich, when I visited NY, I stopped out there. I believe he reviewed it before.
