This machine makes drums sound nice. Showed a bit of support by purchasing the sample pack. I'm a nerd for studying waveforms to see what the gear/FX is doing to the signal. Zooming away into maximum and I can there is deffo a lot being done to the signal without causing distortion. There is also no clipping ( i.e what a clipper or maximizer normally does to to make a sound seem loud ) . Pretty neat stuff :)
Elektron should call this the secret sauce box! Just incredible for processing samples, synths, snd anything else you feed into it. How long before you get some other Elektron boxes eh? 😉
Awesome! Relatively new to music production and looking to buy a 404 soon. Do you record the drum loops / samples that go through the Analog Heat back into the 404 or do you use it more towards the end of the process into some DAW to for example wrap up a song you're working on?
Either really! Lots of possibilities...You could do both the things you have explained. I tend to use my AH as a master FX unit on my beats - so I just run the whole beat through it but its interesting to use it in different ways like I was trying here. Definitely need to try some melodic samples through it as well 👍
@@spvidzgreat for Lofi beats. If you want a hifi sound better with individual tracks or buses and cleanup after it’s returned. Basically as a master fx the more you crank the drive or dirt the less the signal to noise ratio becomes. For my old school hip hop beats it sounds amazing for my Afrobeat which demands a more hifi sound, not so (re: master fx)
there's a trick you can do with the envelope follower so that the amount of gain drops when the signal goes over a certain threshold and you can use higher gain settings without it breaking up so much when the kick or snare hit. here's a link showing how to do it ua-cam.com/video/6QV15lzTWrU/v-deo.html it is also a kind of compression effect too. I know that is done in the over bridge software but it can all be done on the hardware.
Grab my Christmas Drum pack here! 🎅🥁 bit.ly/46E2WHW
that hi gain actually made those tambourines sound lovely!
Thanks bro! Those two EQ dials are so useful
Great demo. Sounds good with the SP!
Thanks a lot! They work very nicely together yup 👍

Appreciate you picking up the pack 🙏
@@spvidz No problem mate, they will get a lot of use. I would deffo buy more packs that were run through Analog heat for sure.
I’ll be doing that much more moving forward yeah 👍
@@spvidz great job, looking forward to this :)

Hey man any idea how I would be able to record what the analog heat does to my beats into my Mpc live ?

Thanks for that man, I've been meaning to look into the 'pump' technique and do a video!
