Not sure if it's just me, but I feel like if this was an American celebrity being interviewd, we'd hear a lot of "it's amazing" and the whole interview would have much less depth. What you call "too serious" is the character of some French women (I'm French). Even more, it's very "parisian"!! The parisian wonder women very sophisticated and still as this French authenticity, simplicity. It's cultural. Hard to explain ^^ they really portrayed the difference BTW American and French culture. That's what I see with my own eyes.
When I hear her, she jokes around, talk naturaly, stay professional for vogue and for having seen her in others series and movies I think it's her personnality.
