Met my Filipina GF just after she got back from 5 years in the middle east as OFW. She supports her entire family. I took a 3 week trip to meet in person. Amazing experience. We then worked on getting her a 2 year contract in Hong Kong. I supported her during that time. Untimely we will get her a visa to enter Australia so she can work here and make some actual money. She wants to put in 10 year's here then by that time ill be good to retire and we move to the phils. As for gold diggers, she costs me a hell of a lot less than me ex wife 😅
Haha yeah been there, done that. Someone stole my credit card in Australia but I didn't report it coz they were spending less than my ex 🤣🤣🤣
Hi mate, just curious what sort of construction you have in mind for the house..traditional cheap cubo/ nipa hut, or hollowblocks, ready made container home, which they do a lot there, or even use EPS panels to build quickly and insulated properly for heat?😊
Hey Dennis the plan is hollow blocks but a very simple inexpensive house. We can't use wood out here coz termites are ferocious so steel trusses and iron roof. 🦘✌️
@AustralianinthePhilippines Maybe use some EPS roof panels, requires less trusses as they are partially structural already, pending on thickness used, and give immediate insulation, they'll cost a bit more upfront but will help keeping it cooler, especially if you'd use an aircon in any of the rooms, the Australian style insulation is shithouse as it needs to be insulated directly under your roof and not just laid on your plaster ceiling trapping the heat in the roof cavity....just some basic advice. EPS panels are mainly used for fridge and freezer warehousing so you can imagine rhy need to be highly insulated rated...

Thanks Ned, yeah it really did knock me around. One of the downsides of getting old is even a common flu can take it's toll on the body. I am about 95% now so back on deck but just taking things easy. Back to the farm to get our boundary fence done and we will begin building a pig pen so I need to do some supervising and videography. But other than that, I'm just eating well and drinking lots of fluids still. Thanks for watching as always my friend.

Firstly, good to see that you seem to be on the mend mate. My Filipina wife is so close the 180 degrees opposite of a gold digger that it’s hilarious. We joke about which one of us is tighter. She has worked bloody hard for her entire life, doing multiple contracts as OFW in the Middle East prior to our meeting. Now she is here in Australia, she still works bloody hard, constantly adding more to her Super fund so that WE will have more when WE retire with our combined assets. Definitely not a country of gold diggers.
As someone else has previously commented, my Filipina wife still costs me a damn lot less than my ex wife ever did.

Great to hear your story, good attitude. My wife is very similar, very hard working and wise with money from the time I met her 25 years ago. I dont agree with never sending money though. I believe if you have met the woman a few times and she seems legit, then send a few $$$ to make their life a little easier.
Hey Rod, thanks mate and yeah I agree if you are positive the relationship is genuine, but I would still say be cautious as I've heard stories about very cunning women playing the long game until they got houses built and dumping the guys. A decent filipina is going to be almost as hard to "pull" as any decent western woman.
As you know, me and Jessa are together almost 8 years now and she has never asked for a penny and neither has her parents.
A good one will add to your success and she will make sure you come first.
A bad one will break you and drag you down.
