- In this video I explain the switch to the MSI B450M-A Pro Max II motherboard and why I also stepping down to the Ryzen 7 2700X instead of using the Ryzen 5 3600. Using the ASUS Prime A320M-K has been a big upset and force me not to use ASUS products again. So in this video I explain the big change. Hey man, great video. Quick question, Will I need to update the bios to support the R5 4500? Thank you
No need, the BIOS is already set for the CPU you want to use just be careful not to bend the pins pop the CPU in and it fires right up.
Mines coming soon!
Awesome enjoy and glad my video help with your decision process.
@@welcometoronsworld6589 thank you
I just bought this motherboard ... So exited to upgrade from a old a10 asus gaming pc . i run emulation primarily from old arcade games ... i plan to go with Ryzen 5 5600-G processor and 2Tb SSD . Thank you for the video . Are you going to do a video when your build is complete??
Thank you for watching and so happy you made a right choice with this motherboard. Unfortunately I did no rebuild video with the MSI motherboard because it was replacing my ASUS Prime A320M-K motherboard that gave me so much issues so I just swap motherboards with in 3-10 minutes.
Thanks for the unboxing, I am interested in this. I recently had a ASUS Prime B450M-A II that just would not post, it was stuck in the bios update blinking light I could not clear it. The pro max II looks like it will go will with the rest of my components.
Glad my video help. And using the MSI B450-M Pro Max II has been a great experience for me after removing the ASUS Prime A320M-K which gave me so much problems in 2020 going with the Pro Max II has been outstanding and glad to have it.
@@welcometoronsworld6589 I see it appears that ASUS is in decline, it used to be my go to. Good information on you channel. I will subscribe, thanks!
I just got that motherboard for my Ryzen 5 5600G, but i've been thinking, do i need to update the bios?
I am aware that the factory version is the 7C52vA0, and the BIOS version needed for it, is the exact same! But i still have my small doubts, haha! There's only 2 other bios updates on the MSI page but they are just for small fixes and the last one allows you to use the 5600GT and other "uncommon" versions
You do not have to update the bios, the bios is the same for all cpus from series 1000 to series 5000 click on the link below you can find your info on page 6

I had b450m a pro max gen 1
The color of pcb circuit is brown, not black like that
I dont know what is the differences between those
Brown or black there is no different. MSI is bring there B450 motherboards back and I like the black look.
Hello, i wanted to mount an air cooler with argb 3 pin header for the fan, but there is no such thing in that board, how to work around this pls?
you have to buy a fan that do RGB only or buy a fans with a supported ARGB controller that you can connect to the USB and download the software to control the ARGB Fans through the software the motherboard do not have a support 5V ARGB header. Click on link below

would anyone recommend this one to combine with a ryzen 5 5600 and powercolor fighter radeon rx 6650 xt? I know that the 6650 has pcie 4.0 support though I dont know what other mobo to possibly combine these components with that is affordable and still good. The ram is Lexar DDR4 Thor 2x16GB 3200.
the only motherboard I found that will run your hardware is the MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI which is going for $99.99 The only thing you have to do is go to MSI Website download the Bios for the Ryzen 5600 and use the Q flash button to update the bios with out cpu and ram. all the information is below if you need help with updating the BIOS.

I'm planning to use this mobo for my first build paired with Ryzen 5 2400g but I recently found out this mobo have issues with display, i hope you could help me with this, I'm a newbie
If you are using an IGPU you should not have any issues. once you set everything up go to AMD website and download the drivers or you can buy a Graphic card of your choice all depends on what games are you playing. I use a graphic card so I have no issues after buying it. Links below to understand product.

@@welcometoronsworld6589 so no need to update the bios in order to run?
@@aldrin9947 I don't think so, the factory version is the same as the ones required in the cpu support page (7C52vA0), only might need it for some special 5000 series, like the GT version, otherwise, i guess it should work fine
where can you attach the graphics card? sorry im new
The pcie slot which is a he long line under the cpu socket
thank you @thatonecubeguy4499 for answering the question.
This board has a 3 phase vrm design. You should use a 65W TDP cpu. 105W will burn/damage the board. ua-cam.com/video/RmHDVKnGvfo/v-deo.html
