I heard a part of this on a TV commercial and the melody stuck in my head. I am 87 years old and I had a problem finding the the song, but I did. It touches me in a way that I can't describe. I love this song. Bless you young man for being able to touch others through your music. May you continue!

That is so true and i too found it because advertisers paid to have it in their commercial, but there it is one of the finest songs I've ever heard touches me in all ways and words .It is indeed these gems stumbled upon for me that make music such an amazing pleasure to take in letting it change you thru sounds and lyrics . Why haven't I heard of this song until it was featured in a recent commercial? One of the most beautiful songs ever. Sings like Bob Dylan & resembles Michael Hutchence.

This will be seen by very few - Please understand that this is a protest song where all the proceeds were donated to Everytown For Gun Safety. It's a song against gun violence. When he says pray for Paris - He is referring to the mass shooting in Paris. When he speaks of 49 dead - He is referring to the gay nightclub mass shooting in Orlando. When he speaks of Freddie Gray - He is referring to what cops joke about giving a 'suspect' a rough ride where he is handcuffed, put in the back of a van unsecured and driven around recklessly stopping and speeding up to make it a nightmare for the man in the back. Freddie Gray died after his ride from a spinal injury. All 6 officers were never convicted of anything.
It's an awesome, stunning spiritual song. Just make sure you understand what it is saying to you.
Glad someone else is recognizing this. One of the reasons this song is so touching to me is the unique spin on a protest song. It’s a loving dedication to those unjustly killed; this song is the halo above their heads. Beauty in the face of undeserved death and discrimination.

I LOVE the commercial that has a clip of this song in it………..That is what lead me to this artist, via Shazam app on the my phone. There are some commercials out now that are so sweet and tender that no matter what I’m doing, I just have to stop and go to the TV and watch…..This is just one.
I see a lot of Dylan and Coen comparisons, but to me this has Lou Reed’s fingerprints all over it. Listen to The Velvet Underground’s Pale Blue Eyes if you are unfamiliar with it.

A moving reference to the Paris terrorist attacks of Nov 13th 2015. Le Bataclan, a famous music venue, was most notably attacked while a concert was being performed. 90 people were killed.
