Me too, bayle may be a more fun fight but nothing compares to the scale that is midir, bayle flying around is cool but midair, shooting fire then a massive death lazer of pure abyssal power is so much more hardcore seeing him struggle to control such dark power, and the music is so iconic for midir, I barely remember bayle’s theme
@@mrfirestar9604 I remember Midir's theme for 2 reasons. The sheer epic scale of fighting a being on his level, and the ptsd of getting taken out by that laser combo.
Midir is the BEST Dragon boss. Placi was close, but they literally copied 3 Midir attacks for him. Bayle was cool, but never gives a proper window for attacks to the head. But Midir? Every combo has a clear start and end. Phase 2 changes the timing and amount of swings some combos have but keeps them consistent for that phase. And the devs made sure we would not forget the Ringed City's guardian by delivering an OST that demands your attention
@@AjDrag_8 sorry but I truly can’t remember a thing about bayle’s theme it was just cool and booming but that it, but those few notes of midir’s music then those violins and you just know your fighting something incredible
Bayle this, bayle that. dark eater Mider is my favorite in game dragon, noting beats the experience of being watched and stalked by this enormous dragon in the ringed city. Not to mention the way he is first presented in the boss room, followed by his wings spreading and his haunting theme playing. The moment I entered that boss arena I knew I was in for the fight of my life
The three hardest boss moments Fromsoft have ever done: 3. Radagon holding the hammer and looking over his shoulder as his theme starts 2. Midir roaring, wings spread, as his theme starts 1. Ludwig's phase transition Honorable mentions: Alonne nodding his respect, Cinder phase two (if you had played DS1), and "Oh death, become my blade once more." Honorablest mention: zoning into the boss gate at Enir Elim and seeing your boy back from the grave to put you in the grave
Darkeater Midir. Descendent of the Archdragons, Raised by the Gods, Consumer of the Abyss, Watcher of the Ringed City. This is one of the best Boss Fights in Dark Souls III and probably videogames, and not only as just a Boss fight. From design, introduction, and Lore, everything of this boss is great! You will find many people who are mad that this boss is too hard, but once you know his catch, it becomes and incredible Boss fight, and begin dancing with him. It’s like Nightmare King Grimm or Absolute Radiance from Hollow Knight, hard, demanding, fast, massive health, with many large area attacks that do a lot of damage, but predictable. Once you know that, that is when you begin dancing with the Boss. I love this fight so much. And the Theme, just magnificent! Thanks so Much FalkkonE! I hope you do more Soulsborne Music! (Using other account ‘cause I lost mine ;-;)
Going from 57 attempts on the Darkeater on my first run through the Ringed City to full mastery of the dance of death with Midir remains the most satisfying thing I've done in a Souls game. Soloing him as a summon on 9 separate occasions (legit not trying to flex, it was just genuinely easier to get into a flow and deal with Midir when he's only aggro'd on you) still makes me smile when I think about it.
The rule with dragons has always been that being in front of them is both the most dangerous and most advantageous position to be in because of their headshot mechanic. Too bad that ancient dragons in elden ring decided to say F that by keeping their heads raised all the time.
@@Random_19 this is why i hated the ancient dragon in the dlc, actually no. ALL OF THEM. I still find the one in the dlc to be the most annoying because of the aoe lightning spam because of the water..
No boss has ever given me more nightmares than Midir. Dude straight up feels like a endless nightmare falling down that never ending hole and fighting this huge dragon. Whole fight feels personal ever since he started blocking the bridge. Midir was undoubtedly, my biggest nemesis in any souls game and I played all.
Gael & Midir's theme are for sure on the top 10 best boss themes of all time, if not in the top 5. Imagine instead of the nameless king we got Gael riding Midir as a boss👀 Hopefully in elden ring 2 🙏🤣
You always do this lol, every time I get into something for the first time, you release a some music related to it. 😂 First with Final Fantasy, Monster Hunter, Star Wars, and now recently I got into Dark Souls 3… then you dropped this lmao.
might be a bit late for this suggestion, but i think a cover of "brutish indigo rages" the raging brachydios theme from mhw would be sooo cool to see from you , i know you have done a brachydios theme cover, but i was curious about how a cover for his more brute or violent song would be
Nice touch ups on the original. Assuming Gael’s next and that about wraps DS3, You should definitely consider covering some DS2 themes like Burnt Ivory King, Sinh, Fume knight, Sir alonne, Smelter Demon, Velstadt, Elana, Skeleton Lords, Dragonrider, etc since you’ve covered every other fromsoft game besides it and Sekiro. The latter of which I think could translate very well into metal if done right.
Fuck! A couple days ago I said Bayle might've knocked Midir out for my favorite boss fought in from software's catalog and you go and do this?! Now i have to go back to the drawing board and think
Only other dragon boss in the series to come close is Bayle, but all time best dragon is still Midir for me. Nothing has topped my boy since Ring City came out. Gael is still my all time favorite boss but Midir is best dragon fight.
@@0-Ve-0 Gael is the magnum opus of From Software design. The lead up to him, how you meet him as an NPC, learn about him overtime, how you find out what happens to him- it's peak. The fight itself is even better. Well telegraphed, he hits like a truck and is tanky, but he feels completely fair not once did I say bs in any of his attacks. The arena is HUGE btw, the biggest in From's history. The fight takes place in the middle of nowhere with two 'nobodies' duking it out, deciding the fate of the world. And the OST is god tier, the best OST in the series it captures the finale perfectly in my eyes. Gael is the boss you feel they put all their passion into and he's one of the top 5 bosses in history for me, in any game. In From Soft he's #1. You HAVE to fight him to see what I mean, everything about him is executed in a flawless way in my eyes.
Firm believer of Midir supremacy here.

Midir is still my favorite dragon fight in all of games. It really feels like you are fighting ancient creature with power to match gods.
His intro, that wing spread, no dragon ever matched his menacing vibe
Finally, my boy Midir has pulled up
Approved man 🔥
I’ve waited so long for this
I have a feeling we'll soon be graced with Gael. For my lady painting
The prophecy has come true
Solid prediction lol
One of the best Fromsoft themes of all time imo
Fr, Underrated theme that’s overshadowed by the popular themes

Midir is probably the best dragon I’ve ever fought in a video game. And that’s a fucking spicy list of the best dragons to choose from.
Bayle and Placidusax were great, don't get me wrong, but nothing is gonna unseat Midir as my favorite dragon fight.

For me the BEST dragón of the original trilogy with a very Epic theme

Can’t wait for the remake of slave knight gael, I love that one too
Just fought this guy again for the first time in quite a while yesterday. Great stuff.

most badass dragon of 21 century

ye, I'll do something from DS2 as it would look weird to not have it on the album, but idk how many new tracks I'll add yet
Wish granted with alonne
Amazing 😮 I liked the og but this is such a bug improvement !
Midir made me sweat blood the first time I faced him, it took me about 70 attempts.
But I love it, the best boss of the saga
how is FalKKonE so consistently good...
oh well, time to start asking for Mili and Library of Ruina/ProjectMoon covers
Still my favorite Dragon fight in From games.
LETS GOOOO
My 2nd favorite cover after Gael :)
Finally, my abyssal godzilla
🔥🔥🔥
i love midir
Indeed it is love, Midir
The REAL hardest boss of the game.
At least to me, Gael was difficult but I beat him in ~5 tries
Fromsoftware would seem to agree with you on that considering Midir gives more souls than Gael
Still the best dragon in the Fromsoft catalogue, but Bayle gets an honorable mention
All hail Midir 🤘🤘

This makes me want to load up my ps4(unfortunately broken) to do an old favorite build of mine, twindaggers/iron skin.
I had to listen to this a couple times while I cheesed him to death with that one mist spell.
Waiting for Sister Friede and Father Ariandel OST 😍😍
I'm disappointed Bayle didn't give me a challange. He's fun though, just not as fun as my favorite boss in DS3
day 2 of asking for an Artorias metal cover
I shitted my pants with this boss
Mama mia 🤌
Please do a "Black Dragon Kalameet" metal cover
Can't wait for Gael's
The best part about the dragon bosses in DarkSouls is that they can't be trivialized by exploiting overpowered mechanics.
Please remake the songs from Touhou project. ❤
REMAKE GAEL TOO I BEG OF THEE. THIS FRAIL IRISH CHILD BEGS OF THEE ^^
i dont know why i didnt remeber that dark souls themes hits harder than elden ring themes
Praying for the Gael re
