Made this today with the homemade mayo and everything and honestly was the best lunch I’ve had in a while. The balance of flavours was amazing. It was filling but light enough for he summer.
    Superb!

Thank you Mr Hugh F-W! This recipe just rescued myself and my family from Friday night cooking blues. I didn’t have all the ingredients; but the main ones were good enough and a meal was inspired, with this delight as the staring role. Look forward to trying it again when I have all the elements.

Yum this looks awesome I love smoked mackerel but apart from doing pate I never know what to do with it. Thanks for the inspiration I shall try this one out as part of a healthy lunch at work.

Very nice, this works nicely if you have some leftover hot smoked salmon as well. This reminds me a little of Scandinavian Silsalad but without the potato and beetroot.

They need to stop with the crappy camera filters and angles that they've started to use in the last few videos, it's really annoying.

Pretty near what we in Sweden call "Gubbröra" which translates to "Man-mess": sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gubbr%C3%B6ra

As with any dish, it's always good to have fun with it and adapt it to your own tastes. :D

Why make such a God-awful mess on your cutting board instead of in a proper bowl??

Lovely recipe with rich and bold flavours. I succesfully use a mayo-less version as the filling of onigiri (Japanese rice balls) Please keep the recipe's comming, River Cottage Foodtube is pulling my cooking out of a rut!
