Using sand in the balloon weights is a better option. The water can leak or pop and that will leave a mess on the floor.
+Karen Viney that's a very good point. It might depend on the quality of balloons you are using too. I just usually use water & have never had one pop. Thanks for watching Fun with Balloons!
Fun With Balloons it does depend on the quality of balloons that you use. I have had a balloon design business for 10 years and I have only used Qualatex balloons in my designs. But I never use water in balloons. It can be a safety Hazard especially if it is near electrical. But keep up the good work in your endeavors to do what you love.

Karen Viney bad alternative advice. The mess from a sand balloon popping is worse than a water balloon popping. Water evaporates, sand is abrasive and sticks around forever.
