This is awesome! I can't tell you how much I appreciate you taking the time to show how to do this from beginnig to end! It has helped me tremendously!!! Thank you!!!
Robin Britton I know you asked a while ago but in my experience when inflated with air they can last nearly a week and still look practically like the day it was constructed. I hope this helps!
Robin Britton Hi! They will hold air for many days or even for over a week - as CurlyColi said - however, the structure retaining its encapsulated air and the structure retaining its luster and displayability are two separate issues.
That is wonderful! Happy birthday to your son. This is the whole point of my channel, for DIY moms to make beautiful decorations for an affordable price.
I have honestly never tried that before, but if you can conceive of it clearly in your mind as you have, it sounds like it could be possible. Let me know if you can make it work. Thank you for watching!
Wow, you make it look so easy! I hope mine looks the same as yours once I give it a try. I want to use this idea for my daughter's 2nd birthday. Thanks for an awesome tutorial.
You are very welcome! I buy my high quality Qualatex balloons through a catalogue or online. Depending where you live, you will be able to order from a distributing company. (I live in California and the distributor I use is called Mayflower.)
Thank you so much. I didn't think you had done this specific idea, but if you have, please let me know so I can credit you in tomorrow's version. I'm so happy for your success Tanya, it is so thrilling, and without your amazing techniques and concepts I would have been in a void of mediocrity. The twisting is cool, and is my passion, but the decór is making me money and your videos have possibly touched my life the most out of all your viewers.
Balloon Sage You are very welcome! I have done some link o loon arches, but only with link o loons or quick links. This was a great idea, much cheaper! I told you before the decor vids are the best, for views and subs :) Congrats on 8,000 plus for you! Thank you so much!
Balloon Sage, You're a champion!!! Your designs are awesome. Great technique, just a question though, is the use of quicklinks balloons the same as your compound knot??
Absolutely. Quick links are the faster, easier option - only there is a monetary price to pay. I very much wanted to use those for this arch but my challenge was to limit myself to only dollar store supplies. Thanks for the great question! I always like to beef up my comments sections.
Awesome job, I love it! I will br trying this soon. Questions...what are you using for scraps, the size of the balloons and what is the exact name of the hand pump?
Hi there. the scraps are balloons called 260s. These are used for twisting and are 2" inches by 60" when fully inflated. You can find these long skinny balloons at dollar stores or supermarkets if you don't want to order online. My pump is a Qualatex hand inflator. If you don't have a quality hand pump you will have a very difficult time inflating evenly in this way. The size of these rounds can be anywhere from 9" to 12" which is standard for everyday round balloons. If you want to spend the money you can order everything you need online. Thanks for watching!
It is always best to make it the same day, BUT - you can create it the night before and then cover it in plastic bags (like big black hefty garbage bags) and keep it in like as closet or something to keep the air from degrading the luster and structural integrity of the latex as well as prevent many air molecules from escaping between the latex molecules. You can also create it half way - inflating all the balloons ahead of time (place in clean airtight garbage bags once again overnight) and then you assemble your arch the next day - so a lot of the work is already done . Two great options aside from same-day construction and inflation.
Thank you so so much I really appreciate you! I asked because it's my first time to make this and I'm sure it will takes me long time to make, the same day I can't I will do that you told me. Thank you ones again!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi there. Well, I mean, you could technically use curling ribbon. You could knot it up for the internal portion and use small lengths of ribbon to attach the balloons together.
Question how many pumps do I need to make a size 8 or 9 inch balloon?? I want to make a large balloon arch you and Tanya make it look so easy and I want to make one for my baby shower
It all depends on what pump you are using. Queen Tanya has so very many large arch tutorials that I'm sure those vids will be more help than I can be on the subject. I learned how to make balloon decorations by watching her videos in the first place! Thank you.
Yes, you could certainly make it longer that way. Just remember that this is an inside balloon arch and if you want to see a bunch of other arch ideas, check out my friend Tanya at Ask Me For A Balloon. She has some amazing ideas and I learned to create balloon decorations from her.
Hi! Yes, you should make it as late as possible to ensure the luster and integrity of the stretched latex lasts through the night. If you wrap the sides in large plastic bags (or drop and tie the whole thing into a huge50-gallon plastic bag) this will keep it pristine for the morning.
Hi there. If you are making this for an event, the balloons will be fullest and shiniest if you make it the night before and keep it overnight in large airtight bags. As long as the arch is kept indoors, it will stay together looking nice for a few days to a week. Again, though, I recommend making it as close to party as possible.
Hi. I'm using the Qualatex Hand Inflator - the most popular pump with balloon twisters - made by the company that creates the best balloons in the world - Qualatex! It can be ordered online, but, as an alternative, you can find pumps at most dollar stores that are about half as good at pumping air but still get the job done.
Hi! Here in California, we've got some awesome dollar stores! Why, they carry 9" round balloons that are 5¢ a piece - 1.00$ for 20. (whether purchased at dollar stores, online from Qualatex, Walmart, or your local party store) virtually all latex round balloons can be found in size 9" , 11" or 12". The balloons featured in this video are from the dollar store and are 9" when fully inflated. Thank you for your question - I hope this helped!
Oh oh, the internal knots. People often use anything from raisins to knotted balloons - you could use beads in the balloons as long as they are round and smooth. Otherwise the bead's sharp angles will break the constricting latex around it and has the potential to fly off if the balloon pops so make sure it is something that can't potentially injure anyone if it goes flying. The reason I used balloon knots here was because I designed this arch to be 100% latex. Thanks for your great question!
mushie SC you can buy the professional quality "twisting" balloons online or you can pick up the cheap kind of 260 twisting balloons (the most common type used for balloon animals) at your local supermarket, party stores or sometimes even dollar stores.
With a little modification, you could actually use small strands of curling ribbon instead to create the internal knots and external linking apparatus.
This is awesome! I can't tell you how much I appreciate you taking the time to show how to do this from beginnig to end! It has helped me tremendously!!!
Thank you!!!

Balloon Sage how long do they normally hold air?
Robin Britton I know you asked a while ago but in my experience when inflated with air they can last nearly a week and still look practically like the day it was constructed. I hope this helps!
CurlyColi thank you for answering the question. I miss comments sometimes.

Loved your video! Quick question: can you tie a small note in the ballon before blowing up and tie the cut 260 balloon on the end?
I have honestly never tried that before, but if you can conceive of it clearly in your mind as you have, it sounds like it could be possible. Let me know if you can make it work. Thank you for watching!
I will tried that...and it's amazing..it's my son birthday...i made a theme of blue and white i made both small and large arch...

Ask Me For A Balloon you've done so many great decór vids, it's hard not to copy directly, but I'm doing my best to create some variations. Cheers!
Balloon Sage Mine is different, no copying, you have done a unique twist with this one!

Hey sage what can you use instead of the 260 please let me know
Hi there. Well, I mean, you could technically use curling ribbon. You could knot it up for the internal portion and use small lengths of ribbon to attach the balloons together.
What do the little knots do that u put in the balloons
This really came handy in 2022 thanks so much
That’s great! Thank you for watching.

is there any way I can just add more blue balloons to make it bigger and of course small pink ones as well
Yes, you could certainly make it longer that way. Just remember that this is an inside balloon arch and if you want to see a bunch of other arch ideas, check out my friend Tanya at Ask Me For A Balloon. She has some amazing ideas and I learned to create balloon decorations from her.
What size of balloons did u use for these?
Hi! 9”

You and Tanya are the best
She's the best, and I'm tryin' my best, lol! Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it.
Could i make this the night before for my daughters party the next day or would it not last until the next morning?
Hi! Yes, you should make it as late as possible to ensure the luster and integrity of the stretched latex lasts through the night. If you wrap the sides in large plastic bags (or drop and tie the whole thing into a huge50-gallon plastic bag) this will keep it pristine for the morning.
How did you link them
How long do balloons stay inflated???

what brand of hand pump are you using? mine will fill only a few pumps and then it is too weak of pressure to fill balloon

nice..decor.
😙😙😙 itZzzz very nice....
it looks like you make simple design in
complicated design
could i use small pony bead to attach?
Technically, yes. Would be easier than making the knots for sure. Thanks for your question!
Please give the list of materials
Hi, what size the balloon that you use?
These are all 9 inches.
You have taught me lots. Thanks
I’m glad - thanks for watching!
whats that like elastic?
what stuff u make for an arch???
I try this to decor my little girl birthday...
A pinto bean works just as well as tying and dropping the knots
Excellent idea!
can i know what kinds of balloon are you using and their sizes?..

could i just add a bead to the bottom
A bead?

instead of tying the balloons to put inside so it has something to hold onto
