Angron, perturabo, and jaghati are all some of my favourite primarchs, really thanks to this series. For a future primarch week, may I suggest mortarion. Another primarch who I don't really know anything about not have any appreciation for yet.
Of all the Daemon-Princes I'd like to see come to the tabletop, Lorgar is number one. Because you know that if Lorgar returns, the Raven lord will most certainly be returning as well. I would love to see the Inquisitions reaction to Corax as he is now, a being made of living psychic shadow. It would make for some great storytelling.
Thats what scares me. I just love RG too much but I want to be loyalist ... while with the state Corax is in I would expect him and RG to go rogue or something like that ... you know like still working for the benefit of the imperium while being hunted by inquisition and chaos alike. It may be cool, but like I said ... I want them to stay as part of the imperium
@@tyruss2432 you now know the plight of the Dark Angels. I class Corax alongside the Khan as one of the most lethal Primarchs. They’re understated, quiet, and unknowably lethal. Corax doesn’t get the credit he deserves.
Thank you so much for this, I have been painting Raven Guard since 2009 and painting black has kept me from finishing my army. Thank you for the motivation to keep going.
I’m a huge Star Wars fan but 40k might be my soul. The concepts in 40k are so much intriguing, grim of course lol, and intelligent. The level of thoughtfulness it leaves you with is way more than any other universe in my opinion. Cherry on the cake is WOLF LORD RHO!!
Not necessarily. Much like konrad with another personality. Corax becomes the Ravenlord when he becomes enraged. With the end of the great crusade and the death of his and the Emperors dream for humanity. Corax fell into a deep depression. He personally murdered his mutated sons and locked himself away to atone and find forgiveness.
Corax is my favourite because his is the ultimate greek tragedy level story. He's the only primarch that was more than a primarch. He was human. He didn't see himself as a weapon or a tool. He was the only one who considered a life for himself after the crusade. Wanted to be a military historian. Yet he's the one who fell the most. He never turned to Chaos. But he abandoned his humanity and turned himself into a weapon for vengeance. He's not a traitor or a loyalist in the end. Just a weapon. He never betrayed anyone. But he did betray himself. He's arguably the only primarch except maybe Vulcan. Who didn't see himself as superior to his sons or to ordinary humans. He was better than a primarch. He was human. And that's where all the rest. even Gulliman and the Emperor failed.
At the All Father's feet. At the base of the great throne. Are his loyal wolf's , fierce lean hungry. Atop the great seat, perched in the shadows. Are his eyes and ears. Bringing word of deeds brave and true . the mighty

I loved it
Corax has always been my favorite primarch along with magnus. They are both compelling, but something about the pure wrath in corax’s heart as he’s fighting to save his legion gets me every time
will he? I thought that possible too until I considered that this is precisely what the Emperor built him for. Have you ever noticed how those "over sensitive" types are often able to cope insanely well while everything is on fire, exploding or just generally not good but completely fall apart when the world goes back to normal? I think thats Corax. Mental Health for demi-gods in a nutshell
I wish so much that Corax's greatest moments are forthcoming. I would love to see Lorgar return and start some nonsense with Guilleman only to have Corax return from the Eye of Terror to save Big Blue.... And have it happen is such a way that Corax satisfies his need for vengeance and can finally once again return to the Imperium, and his legion.

Imagine an empire built on the lies of fanatic tyrant. Then wonder, was he right in creating a god to defeat chaos? Understanding the impact Faith has, was it wrong? Or right?
Lorgar is a trash Primarch but a good, vital character. I like him in a way for that reason. Not all the primarchs can, or should be, near-flawless. But yeah, I'd rather be probably any other primarch lol.
Ha his Dauntless few eh. "Give me the Lion and the Raven. Us three will wipe the floor with the five of them." A quote from the Second lost primarch upon hearing of Guilliman's Dauntless Few. My own head cannon of course.
Na, I would love to see Russ and Corax returning together. The two great hunters returning one with lorgars head the other with magnuses. But it will never happen I don't think any primarcs can ever die again do to the game and the lore being frosen in time. It's made for us to finish the story.
Just imagine: Magnus finally coaxes Lorgar to get off his ass. With their two legions and them together, they start kicking the crap out of part of the Imperium. They get to either Deliverance or Fenris when out of the Eye of Terror come Space Odin Russ and Raven Demon Corvus. Russ breaks Magnus backwards over his knee for old time’s sake and Corvus shanks Lorgar back into the Warp so he can spend the next 10k years under his bed sucking his thumb again.
I've mentioned this before but I hope you'll cover the meeting between Corax and Lorgar on the chaos world where Wordbearers built a temple (the short story named "shadows of the past" I think).
Great reading. Your words makes me fall in love with the traitor Primarchs. Lorgar knowing the future, knowing what will happen. Running directly towards Corax, facing his fate without hesitation and bravely. Ever truthful and explaining the future state to Corax. Revealing to him that stasis is the true opposite. I love it. Unfettered, unyielding truth. Lorgar has got to be the best Primarch ever.
Fantastic, the grief and angst suffered by corax in the fields of horror, the istivan drop site.how he let his emotions free rein for but a second or two, produced a tear to mark this moment of suffering and then to force all of his grief into anger,to use it all as the coal that lit the furnace to drive the engine of destruction which was turned on his once loved brother. Just brilliant, the story, the atmosphere and the emotions described in a tale of monstrous betrayal. I loved every moment.. thank you for story, and the insight into corax..
Love to see my favorite primarch getting his own week. Corax is a beast, it’s a shame the legion got devastated so quick in the heresy and couldn’t play more of a role
Corax -You (3000) take the left flank. Ravenguard captain -What about the right flank lord? Corax -That ones mine. One of the best moments to show how amazing the Primarchs are.
With Lorgar dead, it would have had massive effects on the Heresy. It would have meant to surprise attack on Ultramar and thus Ultramarines would have retained a lot more of their strength. Combine that to there not being Ruinstorm, it would have also meant Ultramarines would have been able to reinforce other fronts around the galaxy along with them being able to arrive to defend Terra in the Siege much earlier forcing Horus to retreat and leading to the Emperor surviving. And without Lorgar to ascend Angron into Daemonhood, he would have died to Nails and the World Eaters would probably have shattered.
Hi WolfLord Rho. Really happy to see Corax week is here. The Raven Guard are one of my favourites, and it’s good to see them get the spotlight they deserve. I’m looking forward to the rest of the week’s videos. I do have just one piece of advice though: when rereading the books in preparation for a new video, I’d advise taking down more complete notes. You made a few errors in this video (which is unlike you from what I can tell), like stating that there were only two Primarchs waiting for them on the surface, and that the World Eaters were part of the reinforcements of ‘loyalists’ that arrived later, and no mention of the Alpha Legion (I’m guessing you meant to say Alpha Legion but said World Eaters by mistake).
Corax is a top tier fighter best most relatable primach. With most of your sons gone what you be like. Rage, depression and a fixation on destroying what took your sons from you. Damned or too be damned.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on the audiobook drama, Ravens Flight. The end to that book gave me some of the deepest emotions of the Horus Heresy series!
Killing Lorgar...and you kill the High Priest of Chaos Killing Lorgar...and you kill the Faith Killing the Faith...and you create Doubt Creating doubt...and you give way to guilt Give way to guilt...and fear will come forth too.
The black library CD of the Primarch Corax fighting destroying the enamy so his remaining warriors can organize become effective is great but his ability to become not invisible more like constant control over the heratics sight! Great audio 10/10
Hello Lord Rho Nice work and this rivalry between the primarchs continue even in the warp But to my understanding the world eaters were not part from retribution fleet as they were already declared traitor in the novel flight of the Eisenstein
I'm surprised we didn't get the bit after Corax's "for the Emperor". *But he lied to us.... Father lied.* All this, before he reflects on the fact that of all his brothers, he least wanted to fight, and yet found himself dying on a battlefield. I'm no fan of Lorgar, but I can't help but feel for him when he says that. It doesn't make his actions right, or excusable, but it shows just how human all the Primarchs were, Lorgar perhaps most of all.
Poor Corax. It wasn't bad enough that his legion was annihilated at Istvaan, no he still had to get crapped on by the Alpha Legion in _Deliverance Lost._ Every time Corax tried to rise from defeat, he got kicked in the teeth. No wonder he became depressed.
Corax was always one of my favourites. when he entered the warp like batman/crowman to chase Logar. One of best scenes/fights of the entire series of books.
What a beast. Corvus' journey made all the more powerful by the Raptors storyline and alpha legion infiltration and abduction of the untainted primarch genetic materials.
2:20 they were 4 traitor legion initialy in the Istvan system, not only the Luna Wolves and Emperor's Children but also the Death Guards and World Eater.
I noticed that too. 3:04 Also, I noticed that he listed the World Eaters amongst the four legions that made up the second wave of Loyalists, whilst also missing out the Alpha Legion. 6:29 In total, Corax, Ferrus Manus and Vulcan went up against eight legions during the Dropsite Massacre, not six as later stated. I don’t like nitpicking over small details, but these are entire legions we are talking about here!
i have just finished the first heretic audiobook and when korad curze appear to save lorgar i got goosebumps :D and also when conrad hold corax by the wrist and say "where you going little raven we have not finished yet":DD
Wolf Lord Rho: It's such a shame the Raven Guard got cut down here, as it really stopped us from seeing more of Corax as he took on more of the other Primarchs. Ferrus Manus of the Iron Hands: Are I a joke to you? I got Jack Shit!
Everyone loves an "Emo Raven Guard" meme but in my mind the Ravens are so criminally underwritten. Some of my favourite lore throughout the Horus Heresy books centres around the Ravens and Corax particularly. It's definitely slightly sad when the Iron Hands get so much attention throughout the series but the Raven guard (much like the Alpha Legion) barely get a mention. Corax was very much an underrated Primarch and definitely one that deserved more. Hopefully you'll finish Corax week on the Corax vs Lorgar short story which opens things open so well for a potential return for both of them....
Corax* is pretty good from before the heresy but I think all his time in the warp now will definitely make him a talk a top three contender we have no idea how much the psychic power has been developed while fighting within the warp. During a rematch Lorgar it’s definitely gonna die
Corax is criminally underrated and deserves more justice. Most of his brothers are in the line of “the man of vanity stands in the front so the world sees him” while Corvus Corax is more like “the man with no vanity stands in the back so that he can see the world”. This Primarch never seeks attention, couldn’t give a damn if he’s in the spotlight, never begged dad’s attention or favours and is focused in doing his job in the most efficient manner possible. I like to think that the fact there’s scarce lore about the Ravenguard is a testament of their efficiency
Corax is a badass and he is sorely underrated. I can't wait to find out what's going on with him in the eye as he goes after lorgar and his sons. If you thought he was a badass back in the day I think he will be climbing up everyone's list of favorite primarch's

As much as I loved kurze and sanguinius week, it's the underrated primarchs who benefit from this series. Angron, perturabo, and jaghati are all some of my favourite primarchs, really thanks to this series.
For a future primarch week, may I suggest mortarion. Another primarch who I don't really know anything about not have any appreciation for yet.
Last time I was this early all the primarchs were still loyal
🤣
too soon

Nor were the other 2 purged.

We fight for the Emperors Dream, the true Imperium, while the bloated, rotten caricature of it hounds us, sniffing and scratching, eager to cast us as traitors. The Inquisition will never succeed for before their ilk tainted the Imperium, there was us, the Angels of Death, prosecuting the Emperors wrath upon a duplicitous galaxy. By decree of the Emperor of Mankind, we shall know no fear.
Sorry, had to vent after that garbage patrol box announcement.
I honestly know the least about Corax of all the Primarchs so I'm looking forward to this week.
you wont be disappointed
Just finished the corvus corax series on black library. He is a good primarch. His men love him and each other.
Dude same everyone always loves him but I feel like I've seen no content for him
I’m a huge Star Wars fan but 40k might be my soul. The concepts in 40k are so much intriguing, grim of course lol, and intelligent. The level of thoughtfulness it leaves you with is way more than any other universe in my opinion. Cherry on the cake is WOLF LORD RHO!!
Yes ! I want to know more about Corax and the Raven Guard.
“Wolf lord rho here!!!!” A great way to start a Monday
Wolf Lord Rho: mixes the World Eaters up with the Alpha Legion.
Me: *shrug* Alpha Legion gonna Alpha Legion.
To treat Corax as JUST a warrior, or JUST a sneaky sneaky boy undersells his true worth
The Emperor knows his worth
Corax is just a sneaky warrior boy
@@TheNarwhal85 the Ravenlord is more the warrior not Corax
@@codysing1223 corax is the ravenlord
Not necessarily.
Much like konrad with another personality.
Corax becomes the Ravenlord when he becomes enraged.
With the end of the great crusade and the death of his and the Emperors dream for humanity.
Corax fell into a deep depression.
He personally murdered his mutated sons and locked himself away to atone and find forgiveness.
Corax week snuck up on me.
Nice content. Corax is a beast in this scene. But my favorit was the ravens flight. Seeing a god like being shattered like that is what won me over.
I bet Konrad was just watching the whole time and only jumped in when predicted.
He was probably fighting his inner darkness to let logar die but he also probably wanted to kill himself.
One thing I love about corax he thought retirement and what he would do after all the fighting was done.
At the All Father's feet. At the base of the great throne. Are his loyal wolf's , fierce lean hungry. Atop the great seat, perched in the shadows. Are his eyes and ears. Bringing word of deeds brave and true . the mighty
I mean, yes but there were no Space Wolves (not "wolf's", by the way) on Istvaan.
The First Heretic is still my #1 HH novel all these years later with The Night Lords Omnibus a close second with a razor thin margin. Once I got to that particular novel in the series, I literally rescheduled appointments at my studio, I couldn't put that book down, the Corax drama was good, but the star of that particular show was Argel Tal and his progression. I loved it
i remember listening to this for the first time with goosebumps the entire time, might actually be my favourite moment of 40k
Corax has always been my favorite primarch along with magnus. They are both compelling, but something about the pure wrath in corax’s heart as he’s fighting to save his legion gets me every time
When corax returns, I have a feeling he’ll be struggling to not become konrad. He’s just been through too much crap.
He’s currently a loyalist demon in the warp right now, he is a literal shroud of shadows hunting down the traitor legions in the warp
@@Macelion I desperately wish we had gotten more about Corax hunting Lorgar and his Legion in the Warp.
@@smac4310 agreed!
@@smac4310 yes please
I wish so much that Corax's greatest moments are forthcoming. I would love to see Lorgar return and start some nonsense with Guilleman only to have Corax return from the Eye of Terror to save Big Blue.... And have it happen is such a way that Corax satisfies his need for vengeance and can finally once again return to the Imperium, and his legion.
Dropsite massacre was what really pulled me in to the lore, been hooked since
as corvus makes planet fall with guilaman guilaman walks with corvus, admiring the forests around, guilaman was surprised admitdly
"i must admit ive never seen much of kiavahr, the peaceful nature is quite unlike much of ultramar or even macragge itself"
corvus looked at guilaman and sighed
"im even surprised you can admire nature when you have been busy usually having adminstering dutys"
guilaman nodded
"when i was young i once went through the forests of macragge upon a mission, but ive never seen how beautiful the stars are upon this place,its...admitdly a soothing feeling"
corvus looked at guilaman and held out his hand
"thank you, brother,i promise i shall return alongside my sons to aid you,to aid the inperium"
guilaman takes it but embraces the raven lord
"i know you will corvus, rest well and enjoy yourself, relax"
corvus nodded as guilaman teleported out after bidding him farewell and corvus for the 1st time smiles and looks upon the night sky, beautiful in its natural illumination
"huh....i guess you were right,my brother..."

Corax Lives

I love the RG they don't get the love of the other founding legions we need some more Corax and raven guard by the BL maybe by ADB seen as he wrote him well here
So... Is it true ? it is ... Really Truly, True ? Truly ?
Also can we appreciate how terrifying it is to have a Primarch and Astartes that can literally turn invisible.
Envy of his mastery lay behind my hatred. I haunted the Night, but Corax owned it. - Konrad Curze
Imagine being Lorgar what a waste of life
Erebus: I know right 🤣
In the current state of the Imperium Lorgar was not wrong lol
Also the Emperor literally does everything godly yet telling ppl he ain’t a god (he might as well be). Lorgar wasn’t reaching
This is all uncalled for
Could you imagine Corax and the Lion returning together and what an awesome site that would be on the battlefield?
Ha his Dauntless few eh.
"Give me the Lion and the Raven. Us three will wipe the floor with the five of them."
A quote from the Second lost primarch upon hearing of Guilliman's Dauntless Few.
I love your videos, man! You're Raven Guard videos are some of my favorites and made me a fan of the chapter. Victorus aux mortis!
Lorgar has got to be the best Primarch ever.
my favorite part of the heresy is just how many times Lorgar gets his shit kicked in
Fantastic, the grief and angst suffered by corax in the fields of horror, the istivan drop site.how he let his emotions free rein for but a second or two, produced a tear to mark this moment of suffering and then to force all of his grief into anger,to use it all as the coal that lit the furnace to drive the engine of destruction which was turned on his once loved brother. Just brilliant, the story, the atmosphere and the emotions described in a tale of monstrous betrayal. I loved every moment.. thank you for story, and the insight into corax..
Corax week?! *Happy Raven Noises*
Boy oh boy is this going to be a good week
I had such chills throughout this, damn. Thanks for the video! I can't wait for the rest of Corax Week
I HEAR RAVENS CAW IN THE DISTANCE!!!
From the Novel First heretic. I missed reading that novel.
Can't wait for the next stories about Corax. Especially excerpts from Deliverance Lost
*Lorgar:* The opposite of chaos isn't order, it's...
*Corax: Shut up Nerd!*
Definitely one of Corax's best moments as the Emperors Wrath! The beginning of a 10 000 year hunt!
Favourite primarch n legion. Thanks so much! Everybody needs to know. For the Raven lord.
The first heretic was my first horus heresy novel. I still remember when I started and finished it. Loved it especially the moments with corax
A true Farther, doing anything to save his beloved sons. Truly one of the Emperor's finest and bravest sons.
He's the proverbial "Light in The Darkness."
I binge watched all your videos now I have to wait like the rest of humanity..keep up the good work
You really bring this lore alive for me
last time i was this early Argel Tal was still alive
Awesome and hell yea he a beast !! Great video can’t wait to hear more about this one!🤘🏻
He lost so many men that was heart breaking
God damn brother you had me covered in goose bumps!
I’d love to hear your thoughts on the audiobook drama, Ravens Flight. The end to that book gave me some of the deepest emotions of the Horus Heresy series!
Killing Lorgar...and you kill the High Priest of Chaos
Killing Lorgar...and you kill the Faith
Killing the Faith...and you create Doubt
Creating doubt...and you give way to guilt
Give way to guilt...and fear will come forth too.
The black library CD of the Primarch Corax fighting destroying the enamy so his remaining warriors can organize become effective is great but his ability to become not invisible more like constant control over the heratics sight! Great audio 10/10
Hell yeah just got Deliverance lost on Audible ! Can’t wait to listen through!
Hello Lord Rho
Nice work and this rivalry between the primarchs continue even in the warp
But to my understanding the world eaters were not part from retribution fleet as they were already declared traitor in the novel flight of the Eisenstein
You understand correctly. Also, he missed out mentioning that the Alpha Legion WAS part of the second wave.
@@Ghostwolf82
Absolutely, this fact is important as they used it to infiltrate loyal legions (Raven guard)
Can’t wait for the “Round 2”. C’mon we already know Corax is alive and kicking, and now is the best time for return.
This is why Lorgar has been locked in his room for so long. He knows the Raven is just waiting for his moment.
@@Ghostwolf82 yeah i noticed too but i figured that one comment was enough from me, if he get's one part wrong then all the other part will be to.
Really enjoy the vids mate. Keep them coming.
The scene from dark imperium god blight about corax at the drop site massacre was also absolutely awesome
The fight between Lorgar and Corax was absolute word porn.
i have just finished the first heretic audiobook and when korad curze appear to save lorgar i got goosebumps :D
and also when conrad hold corax by the wrist and say "where you going little raven we have not finished yet":DD
Well we'll never know since he got whacked by an assassin.
I hope their round 2 gets read this week as well!
HELL YEAH IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
Wolf Lord Rho: It's such a shame the Raven Guard got cut down here, as it really stopped us from seeing more of Corax as he took on more of the other Primarchs.
Ferrus Manus of the Iron Hands: Are I a joke to you? I got Jack Shit!
so safe to say we know why Logar was a shut in for 10 000 years, cuz was/still is scared who is waiting outside his citadel it the warp xD
Lorgar is now hiding from Corax' vengeance
Waited for this
It’s been a long time coming
15:01 I feel like attention needs to be drawn to the sheer badassery of being completely unphased by a goddamn headbut.
That scene where Lorgar gets saved by Kurze's claws is pretty insane, one of my favourite moments.
Corax is a badass and he is sorely underrated. I can't wait to find out what's going on with him in the eye as he goes after lorgar and his sons. If you thought he was a badass back in the day I think he will be climbing up everyone's list of favorite primarch's
Later time I was this early, Rho knew that the world eaters and the death guard were known traitors, and the Alpha legion were the 4the new traitors.
Corax needs to return in 40k omg it would be epic.
At 03:18 you meant Alpha Legion right ? Not World Eaters. The World Eaters was already a traitor legion ^^
He was something beyond furious
